After looking through some mixed reviews of other brands, I decided to go ahead and pay a little more for a real brand name that would last. And while the sheets aren't the softest, they were definitely comfortable to sleep for a time. But the life span of these is terrible. I bought them to rotate with another set and the quality QUICKLY deteriorated. After maybe a few washes and a month of use they starting piling and roughening up to the touch. I just threw them away after MAYBE a half dozen total washes and they were trash. They felt like something from the attic bedroom at your grandparents. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.Read More
Good price and it is just what I expected. A bit wrinkly but not too obvious after the bed is made. Some might consider the fabric a little thin but we are very happy with our purchase and would purchase again.Read More
Love these Tommy sheets this is the second time I have purchased them and prefer them to any other brand/type. Color assortment available wasn't great but quality outstanding.Read More
When you run your hand over these sheets, they feel a bit rough. It is like an illusion. When you slide into bed they feel like satin! So comfortable and smooth. The flat sheet seems over-sized. That is excellent if you have extra deep mattress. (I do not.) The fitted sheet goes on very easily. These sheets should be rated 4.75 stars. The only reason they wouldn't be perfect is the fact that they come out of the dryer a bit wrinkly. Not badly enough to warrant dragging out the iron. :) They are wonderful to sleep on. I definitely recommend these sheets and would buy them again.Read More
I would've never purchased these sheets had it not been for the outstanding reviews. None of them even remotely describe these sheets. When I first removed them from the packaging, I was struck by how incredibly thin the fabric was, so much so, I questioned whether they were in fact Tommy Hilfiger or not, and doubted their durability. I laundered them and put them on our bed. After a few nights the fitted/bottom sheet had stretched out of shape and no longer stayed in place, usually wadding up underneath us during the night. Every morning it was like having to remake the whole bed again. Today I removed them from our bed and noticed some extreme pilling of the fabric on the fitted/bottom sheet, as well as the pillowcases. My initial reaction was correct, these are extremely cheap in quality, and based on the pilling, I have no doubt these will have holes worn in them within a few months. Don't waste your money! These sheets are one step above lousy!Read More
I've washed these sheets at least 4-5 times and they still look like new. They hold up very well and are made with high quality. My only problem with them is they are so wrinkled! I followed the wash and dry directions and from the very first time I've washed them (and have taken them out of the dryer right away), they have been like this. I own an iron, but I hardly ever use it on my clothes, so the sheets are used wrinkled. If you don't mind that, they are a great buy.Read More

FAQs about Sateen Sheets
Sateen sheets are high-quality sheets woven in the same way as traditional satin. Unlike satin, sateen sheets are made with more common fibers, such as cotton. Sateen sheets are soft to the touch and allow skin to slide smoothly into bed. Sateen sheets are available in very high thread counts, and as such, are quite durable. Take a look below for some of the most frequently asked questions about sateen sheets.
Bed Sheet Thread Count Fact Sheet
The thread count of bed sheets refers to the number of threads per square inch of fabric. For example, if a square inch of fabric in a 300-thread count sheet with a standard weave were examined closely, 150 vertical threads and 150 horizontal threads would be counted, for a sum total of 300. The higher the thread count, the softer and smoother the sheets will be. Thread count is an important consideration to take when choosing a new set of sheets, but it should not be used as a sole indicator of quality. Equally important in choosing a bed sheet is the type and quality of the materials used as well as the fabric's weave.
