Down and feather-filled products are packaged tightly during shipping. Upon receipt, remove this item from its packaging, fluff gently, and allow several hours for full loft recovery. In addition, products sealed in plastic packaging sometimes have a disagreeable scent because of concentrated natural fibers. A few hours of airing typically removes the odor.
We recommend that this item is fluffed at least once a week to maintain down distribution

First off I thought I was getting six pillows and not two. Having received them however, they had a strong smell of oil. Like other customers commented I found them to be pretty flat as well.Read More
Good Pillow, however these are the heaviest pillows I have ever felt. I purchased the extra firm and glad I did. Even the extra firm is still kind of soft. All in all OK, not great, not terrible,Read More
I bought the medium firm pillows...they were just the right blend of firmness and softness. they hold their shape well. Great buy for the price.Read More
I believe an important thing to remember is that this is a *** pillow. A lot of quality down pillows will run ***, so I think this one is a very good value and overall I'm satisfied with the purchase. That being said there are some points I would like to add that might effect someone purchasing this pillow. It's a little crunchy, due to the feather core. I bought the jumbo extra-firm and it's really too soft to be called that, compared to every other firm or extra firm pillow I've had in the past. The jumbo size is not a queen/standard pillow, it's a queen. It will not fit in a standard case, but it did fit in cases I own that are true queen sized. I have not had any issues with smell or feathers poking out of the pillow, it's very soft on the outer surface.Read More
The pillow is designed for good sleep, they cradle your head without getting flat. It support my head and neck in every position I have tried, so no sore neck anymore, no tossing and turning. I got what I paid for, I might order more later.Read More
I ordered the "extra firm", and it's far from it. super soft, head sinks to the bottom. This pillow offers about 1 inch of support. Not recommeded for anyone seeking a firm pillowRead More
I am very pleased with my purchase of this outer down pillow. The composition of this pillow with the down encased does not bother my allergies. After laying on this pillow, it reatins its shape and does not sag or matt. The density is perfect for my needs.Read More
It has an odar to start with; that I expected due to another review. I took care of that byputting them through the dryer (air only ) I took the firmest quality due to a review stating they were not as firm as labeled. Still a little to soft. But the price was and is quite good. If I were to need a replacement; I would look for something with a higher Star Rating.Read More
I ordered this pillow in the 'extra firm' jumbo type. This so-called 'extra firm' has ZERO support. It is exactly the opposite of any rational definition of the word FIRM. Laying on it causes it to immediately compress down to nothing and it provides no support for your head/neck whatsoever. If you are a masochist and seeking to cause neck pain for yourself then I recommend this pillow to you.Read More

How to Wash Throw Pillows
Part of keeping a clean house is making sure all of your decorative accessories are clean. Foam-filled throw pillows with cotton covers or other washable materials, however, can be washed -- some even by machine. Nevertheless, even if a pillow appears washable, always consult the washing instruction label before attempting to wash a throw pillow -- or you may be in for an unpleasant surprise when you remove the pillow from the washing machine.

Warm in the winter and cool in the summer, down comforters offer the ultimate in comfort and insulation. Down is the soft, fluffy growth found under the outer layer of breast feathers on geese and ducks, insulating them from extreme temperatures. Down is lighter and more flexible than feathers, which is why it's so popular for use in down bedding. When used to fill comforters, it gives you the ultimate in year-round comfort. Choose throw pillows to complement or contrast your decor. Pillows should suit your lifestyle as well. Compare the qualities of down pillows and memory foam pillows to see which will provide you with the comfort level you need.

Best Pillow-top Mattresses for Back Pain
The key to a good night's sleep when you have chronic back pain is as simple as choosing a good pillow-top mattress. Choosing the best mattress involves knowledge of your personal needs and preferences. To get a comfortable night's sleep, start by choosing a pillow-top mattress made from the right materials for you. Next, choose your preferred thickness. Finally, have firm sleep support underneath the cushions of the pillow-top. Below, you'll learn the best pillow-top mattresses for back pain. Choose the materials: Pillow-top mattresses are made from a variety of materials, so choosing the one that is right for you can make all the difference in the world. People with muscle pain should consider down pillow-top mattresses, which provide a cocoon to sleep in. Those with back issues will generally prefer memory foam pillow-top mattresses, which conform to the body and offer consistent support to areas like the lower back. However, it is important to check the manufacturer's information regarding the recommended weight allowances for these types of pillow-tops. Consumers who are heavier than the recommendations may find that the pillow-top cushion compresses in uncomfortable ways, leaving the mattress lumpy. Determine the thickness: Pillow-top mattresses come in a variety of thicknesses, from just 2 inches to 8 or more inches deep. Like choosing the right materials for your pillow-top, choosing the right depth is vital to getting a good night's sleep. Thinner pillow-top mattresses will allow more of the support from the remainder of the mattress to come through and will not develop body indentations as pronounced as those in a deep pillow-top. Pillow-top mattresses that are too soft may fail to provide back support and cause an increase in back pain. However, deep pillow-top mattresses are excellent for customers who suffer from fibromyalgia or other chronic pain. Check the warranty: Just as you would with any other purchases of its size, check the warranty of your pillow-top mattress. Most manufacturers will provide limited, pro-rated replacement warranties for manufacturer's defects, and some will provide a "comfort guarantee." Others may have specific conditions that must be met in order to maintain the warranty, such as having a boxed spring by the same manufacturer. Take note of any special conditions for the warranty and keep the paperwork. View All Mattresses Back to Guides Directory View All Mattresses

Although perfect for other camping situations, most outdoor gas grills won't work for hiking, and a dutch oven is completely out of the question for a backpacking trip. After a few miles, you'll probably regret packing just any old cooking gear you had on hand. When you go hiking, make sure to take camping cooking equipment designed with backpacking in mind. Here are a few items you shouldn't forget on your next backpacking trip.

FAQs about Memory Foam Mattresses
Many people have heard of memory foam mattresses, but few can tell you what they are made from. Memory foam is a combination of polyurethane and additional ingredients which increase foam's viscosity and density. It was originally developed by NASA to improve the safety of their aircraft cushions, but now, it's used in mattresses, pillows, and other bedding. The soft and inviting material is what makes these mattresses so appealing to people looking for a good night's sleep.
