I got this particular quilt because I had previously used a white down comforter (ooh...I loved it so much) for many years and had to replace it. I needed to get something with a busy pattern on it since, well, let's just say I have several cats (please let your imagination take it from here). This particular quilt matched the colors of my bedroom perfectly. I was concerned that it would look too 'girlie' and not fit into an adult's room. Happily, it looks fantastic in my room! Very sunny and bright. I saw one reviewer mention that the green flowers were actually gray, but I kind of disagree. To me, they are green but just a bit muted, which actually makes them look nicer. The two shams you get match the quilt, and there is an extra rectangular throw pillow that is eggplant purple which is cute for extra flair. Redid my small bedroom around this bedspread. It looks sooo cute. Couldn't be happier.
My problem with this comforter set is that the zig-zags on the sham covers don't line up horizonally. No effort was taken as to how they'd look on a bed. In the photo, only one sham is shown upright and the other is laying down. I don't use the shams. I recommend you choose a pattern that doesn't need to be matched (stripes, checks, plaids, zig-zags) or go with a more expensive set where cutting and sewing are done more carefully
I bought this for a guest room and it's terrific. The colors are vibrant and true to the photo. I use several shades of teal for sheets, pillowcases, and pillows and it looks terrific! Highly recommend!
