I got the green color which is pale sage, very soft color. The sheets washed nicely and fit my king sized bed with the 3 in foam mattress topper very well. I have never seen the stretchy material on the sides before, but I like it. The sheets fit tightly, no wrinkles for me!!! I did notice in the reviews that some thought they shrank in the wash, I like the tightness and if you pull a little the go on the corners very nicely. The pillow cases are different also, being that they have fold over like a pillow sham. I like that feature, too.Read More
I have had these sheets about 6 weeks. They have been washed about 6 times and the hemmed edges are already starting to unravel. They are supposed to be King size and the pillow cases are too narrow for my pillows.Read More
Bought these for our king sized-bed. A little loose in fit but can be tucked in. They are extremely soft and comfortable and wash up well. I'm thinking of purchasing another set.Read More
These sheets were an answer to my shrinking sheets problem. The depth of the pockets more than cover my pillow top mattress and foam mattress cover. They are smooth even after washing!Read More
The word "sateen" was not used in the title of the sheets. I missed it in the fine print. I wanted only cotton sheets. I returned the sheet without taking them out of the package.Read More
We purchased a new bed topper and needed deep pocket sheets. I searched around all the local places prices were way to high. Overstock.com had the best price. As soon a I opened the box I knew I made the right choice. Best sheets I've ever slept on. Will never go back to store bought.Read More
Unfortunately these sheets did not fit my 20" deep mattress even though the package stated that it was guaranteed to fit any mattress and the item description stated they fit up to 22" deep. I had to return them and it cost me ~ $$ to send them back - the cost of the return shipping label decucted from my total and the box to ship them in from UPS. Beware if you have a deep mattress! Would have fit a 15" deep mattress just fine.Read More
These are by far the best fitting sheets I have ever purchased. I bought one set for our queen bed which has a very deep pillow top mattress. I have a memory foam topper on top of that. The fitted sheet fits perfectly. I love the fact you can button the top sheet to the fitted sheet. Now my sheet stays tucked all night long. But my favorite feature is the elastic on the pillow case. It makes the pillow look so neat. I bought fluffy new pillows and the pillow case fits great. I have washed the sheets 5 times now. I have experenced no shrinkage issues and they still look and fit great.. I loved these soo much I bought second set for our guest bed which has a 9" deep mattress and they also fit great on that mattress as well. I definately recommend these for any mattress size.Read More
We bought a sleep number queen bed several years ago and did not want to spend what the store was offering for sheets. So we had been using standard king size sheets (that were way too big), because the standard queen sheets were too small. I was prepared to finally purchase the expensive sleep number sheets and read reviews online that were not favorable. When I found the tailor fit deep pocket sheets on overstock, I decided to try them. I have now bought a second set because they are so soft and wash well, but most importantly, they FIT! I especially like the feature of having the top sheet buttoned to the bottom sheet - makes making the bed so much easier. (although one button did fall off in the process of washing, never to be found again). I can't imagine purchasing any other brand of sheets for this bed.Read More
Happy with the sheets. I usually sleep on 1200 ct sheets so I wasn't expecting a ton from these sheets but I was pleasantly surprised. I washed them before using and while they are slightly thin (you get what you pay for) they are soft and fit well on my oversized mattress.Read More
Questions & Answers
FAQs about Sateen Sheets
Sateen sheets are high-quality sheets woven in the same way as traditional satin. Unlike satin, sateen sheets are made with more common fibers, such as cotton. Sateen sheets are soft to the touch and allow skin to slide smoothly into bed. Sateen sheets are available in very high thread counts, and as such, are quite durable. Take a look below for some of the most frequently asked questions about sateen sheets.
Bed Sheet Thread Count Fact Sheet
The thread count of bed sheets refers to the number of threads per square inch of fabric. For example, if a square inch of fabric in a 300-thread count sheet with a standard weave were examined closely, 150 vertical threads and 150 horizontal threads would be counted, for a sum total of 300. The higher the thread count, the softer and smoother the sheets will be. Thread count is an important consideration to take when choosing a new set of sheets, but it should not be used as a sole indicator of quality. Equally important in choosing a bed sheet is the type and quality of the materials used as well as the fabric's weave.
