Looking for a featherbed--This is the one!! I was leary when I received it and opened it up because of past experiences with purchasing other featherbeds. Not this one--they are not kidding when they say 5-inches thick it really is!! And to receive a cover sheet for that price-unbelievable. Lay it out on your bed and slide your cover sheet on--it begins to instantly fluff up and rise. I pushed the sides in and the top and bottom in and up until it is piled up like a pyramid on my bed, I let it sit that way to air out and fluff up. It really works--I do this every other week to really fluff it up-- and believe me it responds. I have to tell you that it is truly like sleeping on a cloud!! I had a friend who was store buying featherbeds for twice the cost and returning them because he was so dissatisfied. I told him to purchase this one and he loves it. He said,"Finally a featherbed that is all that it says it is...I cannot believe how comfortable this is." It is well worth the price..... and one comparable in quality would easily go for twice the price. If you have had similiar experiences with trying to find a good featherbed--Seriously!!---Look No More--This Is The One!!

After returning from a trip to Chicago where I slept on a luxurious featherbed at the posh W hotel, I went on a mission to find a comparable bed. Sleeping at the W was the best sleep I'd had in ages... like sleeping on a cloud as they say! My hunt ended when I found this wonderful featherbed from Overstock.com. I was skeptical at first... could it really be as great as the reviews and at such an affordable price? YES YES YES!!! My featherbed arrived amazingly fast and the quality is unbelievable. The bed is thick, heavy, luxurious and very well made. To be honest, I didn't expect much from the included cover and was prepared to purchase a separate cover. To my delight, I was wrong. The cover is wonderful as well! I'd buy another for my guest room but I'm sure my guests would never leave!!! <g> This is my second purchase from Overstock and I can't begin to sing their praises loud enough. Great customer service and super fast shipping add to the incredible bargains.

It was delivered yesterday (Friday). No bad smell at all. It had to be shaken and aired out so that it can "breathe" to allow it get fluffy. We call it the PUFFY bed. This featherbed is HEAVY - the fill is very high. Its comfortable and soft - while it gives support. You will have to shake it every day or so to make sure it remains "puffy" - as you would with any other featherbed. The included duvet cover is very smooth (high thread count) - fits like a glove and does not allow for the feathers come through. The height of ours is as stated 5". Its stitched in sections to prevent the feathers from shifting to one side of the featherbed. We purchased the King size and its covers our mattress perfectly. We are very pleased with this product. It was purchased to replace the (more expensive) 3" featherbed we've had for over three years and was not as high and highly filled as this one. Highly recommend a featherbed to all my friends, its the ultimate luxurious item for your bedroom. This one will be on the top of the list of recommendations! I received my feather bed one day while my husband was out-of-town. When he came home and laid down for a good night's rest, he raised the sheets and said, "What is this?!?!?" I said, "It's our new featherbed!" He said, "I'm telling you right now, I'm not going to like it". I asked him to sleep on it just one night and if he didn't like it, I would take it off." Much to his dismay, he loved it! He said, "That was the best nights sleep he had in a long time." We have had it for about a month now and can't wait to climb into bed every night. We loved it so much that we bought another one for our guest bedroom. Try it - you'll love it!!!!!

We recently purchased 2 of these Super Snooze 5-inch Thick Baffled Featherbeds. One went on our guest bed and one went on our bed. This is the most comfort that any bed can have added to it. There is no mattress or other type of featherbed that can even come close to this one. We had company arrive the day that these arrived and since the featherbeds had adequate time for fluffing and airing out, we put one on the guest bed. We surprised the others who were going to be forced to sleep on the sofa bed, and put the one that was ordered from Overstock.com for our bed and placed it on the sofa bed. That was the first time any sofa bed has been so comfortable! The quality of this featherbed is equal to none. It comes with a cover and we have never seen feathers coming out of the featherbed or even sticking out. This was a complaint on some of the other featherbeds we looked at on Overstock.com. They arrived much more quickly than we had expected. We can never thank Overstock.com for providing such a high quality featherbed at an affordable price. Even though they are 5 inches thick, our deep pocket fitted sheets went on without any problem. Thank you Overstock.com for giving us the ability to sink into comfort like none other! My husband has severe back problems and since the featherbed went on our bed, he awakens without the pain that he has experienced for years. We only wonder why we waited so long to put this Super Snooze 5-inch Baffled featherbed onto our bed. It feels like sleeping on a cloud! Thank you Overstock.com! Kudos for such a superior product!! I was so excited after reading the reviews of this featherbed. I did love that it came with the featherbed cover. The feathers don't stick out either, which is nice. However, after only a few weeks of sleeping on it, not even fluffing it brings it back. It's deflated and no longer has any plush to it accept for at the feet where there is no weight or pressure the majority of your sleep time. When we opened it out of the box, there was a substantial notice in the thickness of the featherbed and for the first couple of nights was heaven to sleep on. After a few nights, it just became like any other mattress pad cover you could pick up for cheap. I would not buy this again. I might infact go get another cheaper featherbed and double them up to see if I can get the plushness back.

I bought the Queen-Size Super Snooze 5-inch 230 Thread Count Baffled Featherbed Set to make my too-firm memory foam mattress more comfortable. I previously had an inner spring mattress with a Calvin Klein fiberbed (cannot seem to find them for sale anymore) which was very comfortable but when I "upgraded" to the memory foam it just felt too stiff. I couldn't find a comparable fiberbed and my old fiberbed was a bit worn out and not re-fluffing after 5 years of use (dry cleaner wanted nearly same price to clean as purchasing a new one!) I looked everywhere online in stores and this featherbed had the best reviews at a decent price - even if you only get a few years use out of it, it's a pretty good deal. The Super Snooze featherbed arrived vacuum-packed in a large box but immediately puffed up to about 5 inches Fit-wise, the featherbed is about two inches shorter than the queen mattress but is not problematic and the width fit correctly. Feathers were well distributed and zippered cover is decent quality and easier to put on than I expected. It does squish down when you lay on it but puffs back up some when you roll over and with some fluffing in the morning. The feathers have not shifted between the baffles. Because it is so thick, there is no way my fitted sheets would fit over it plus the 12" mattress, so I put it in the included case, then put my mattress pad on top of it, then the fitted sheet and just lay it on top of the mattress. The sheets/mattress pad are staying on fine and don't come loose in the middle of the night with 2 people (plus small dog and fat cat). This configuration makes it easier to fluff when making the bed. I think that it would feel even better on a regular spring mattress but does help soften the memory foam some - i.e., doesn't really have the "cloud" effect, but that's more due to the mattress than the featherbed and I honestly doubt there's a product out there that would do that short of a mattress topper made of about 6 inches of jell-o! There was a light odor but a spritz of Febreeze cleared it up. I also usually get itchy from feather/down bedding and furnishings but have not found that to be a problem with this featherbed. The feathers are a bit on the crunchy side but wasn't expecting a high down content product anyhow. Does not seem to be get too hot but haven't had warm night temps yet since owning it. I have found myself oversleeping more than usual since I got is so I guess that says something :-) lol Note: I did need help to carry it as it was a fairly large/heavy box and I'm 5'4" so my arms were to short to carry it more than a few feet. Since I got it delivered to work to avoid having left outside my home during the middle of the day, it had to fit it in the trunk of my compact SUV to transport it. Might be a tight squeeze getting it into a smaller or non-hatchback car. "Free" shipping (UPS Ground) took about 6 business days to get to LA - was shipped from Davenport, IA. Would recommend as a great value for the quality received!

I bought this king feather bed because my new Tempurpedic was a bit too hard for my taste and would make my lower back hurt. Rather than return the bed, which my husband loves, I thought to buy a topper, and after reading the reviews about this feather bed I went ahead a purchased it. I am very satisfied with the result! It was delivered quickly and came in a giant 30 lb box! I opened it up, washed the cover, assembled, and put in on the bed. Slept on it the first night with minimal odor issues. There was a faint scent of hay, which was not unpleasant. I am using it in June in Pittsburgh, PA and do not find it too warm, although my husband finds it very warm and has no need for a blanket to stay cozy. It does require heavy fluffing about once weekly, and light fluffing daily to maintain the 3 to 5" gusset. Overall, I am very happy with this product and feel it is a good buy for the quality,

Featherbed came with it's own zippered cover, a nice feature that adds to feather-poking resistance. No odor, right from the box! Fluffed it up for a day, then onto the bed. I have been sleeping better, with fewer morning aches & pains now that I have this feather bed and a down comforter. One caution: this featherbed is thick. If your comforter barely covers your mattress now, adding the featherbed may make your existing comforter seem too short and allows your mattress to show. Just something to think about, if you have an oversized mattress. It does need to be fluffed a little each day, or else your body depression shows--but thats OK. What I found easiest: don't put it under your fitted sheet. Instead, cover it with it's own fitted sheet and place on top of your covered mattress. This way it is easily able to be fluffed when needed!

Arrived within a few days. Although it did not have a feather smell, I stil aired it out for 2 days. The cover is surprisingly very good quality & feels like higher thread count. The featherbed is very heavy & feathers are equally distributed. We have slept on it for several months now. It does not clump. There have been no feathers coming out or sticking or poking while sleeping. It is very comfortable. To keep the loft up, I do fluff it daily. If not, it will be soft but will flatten the feathers. It just feels better if you fluff it daily so count on some extra work. I bought deep pocket sheets but have found it easier to fluff if you tuck the sheets under the featherbed instead of the matress (it is that thick) so there is no need to buy special sheets if you do this. I also rotate it with sheet changes thinking it will make a difference. The seams are strong, the baffle sewn tightly & appears well constructed so I am believing it will last for many, many years. Very satisfied & would buy again. I am buying my daughter a white goose down topped featherbed to see if it will hold the loft better wihout the daily fluffing. I bought the set of extra soft down pillows & sleep on them both because regular pillows hold my head too high. I am very, very pleased with them & sleep sound & cuddley. They are not for those who like support from a pillow. Your head sinks into them so I puff them to the middle. I hope you will will enjoy these as much as I do.

This featherbed is absolutely amazing, I fall asleep as soon as I lay down, and it feels like I am sleeping on a cloud!!! I would definitely recommend this to ANYONE!

I got mixed results with O items, (usually cheaper) so i was somewhat skeptical of shelling out $100 on something i could not test before buying. But, i said to myself, "i spend 8 hours of my day on this bed, so... " Boy, was I in for a treat. When this monster arrived, it was a 40 pound behemoth. I called it the "scaleless dragon" since it was big and cumbersome but extremely soft to the touch. Sure enough, the dragon provided me with amazing confort. I looked forward to bed every night! The dragon even included its own armour (duvet) which can cost 30$ +. With time, the dragon got softer even (if that's possible), and has provided me and my guests many times of good sleep and whatnot. The fill never *ever* moves, and if it wasn't for the crap elastic on my fitted sheets (which i am upgrading today), the dragon would "stay" like a well behaved dog. But such is the nature of the beast, it is prone to unruliness. There is much else to be said of the dragon, including once that two swedish girls stayed the night, they said they had been in hotels in Europe that had beds that weren't as confortable. Indeed, when i fly on firm business, i sometimes wonder why i didn't bring the dragon along. I am so happy i bought this....the cost of something similar in NYC would have easily been half-grand. Excellent quality. The most wt. for a kingsize out there. Extremely soft & comfortable.

I wish it actually had some down in it, but in terms of price, you get alot here. This featherbed is filled more than any other featherbed you are going to find, so you do actually sink into when you lay down. The cover is nice, and my deep sheets still fit over it comfortably, even though it really does raise my bed quite a bit. I did not notice any smell, but did air it out for 24 hours. After washing the cover, putting it on, and putting my fitted sheet over it, it is almost physically impossible for any feathers to poke me. It is heavy, and I can see how it would be difficult to get into the cover, and to fluff regularly for someone who is small in size, but I haven't had any troubles with it. Yes, you do need to fluff it every 1-3 days, depending on your preferences. If you sleep alone, you will notice it does indent where you sleep, it is not so noticeable when you do sleep with someone on the other side...Point being, find yourself a sleeping partner....Because it is thoroughly better...They will surely enjoy it too! The queen doesn't quite fit on my mattress like it should, but that was expected. It is a little smaller than the measurements of a queen mattress, but a king would simply be too big and hang over the sides. Overall, I have no complaints, and I have been sleeping very comfortably on what was previously a pretty stiff mattress. I would recommend this product for a number of reasons, but mostly because the lady's love it more than I do.

Super comfy, like sleeping on a cloud. It does need fluffing up every single morning to prepare to have the same comfort level and fluffiness again that night. But the fluffing of it does not bother me. Three shakes and it's fluffed! My cats love the softness too!

I was torn between a down feather topped featherbed or this one. So glad I ordered this one. It is thick, soft, and comfortable. No smell, no feathers sticking out or falling out. Sizing is very accurate. Just flip it and puff it up when you change your sheets.

This feather bed seems like it will be very nice, but it is not as luxurious as advertised, or as comfy as the other reviewers suggest. It is very heavy, heavier than it should be, which suggests that the feathers are not genuine goose down. The fluffyness does not "re-fresh" unless you do it yourself right after you get up in the morning. If sleeping alone, you sink straight down to the mattress and the sides puff up. Bottom line, not very comfortable, returned it after 2 sleeps.

To start, I ordered this Tuesday and recieved it Thursday. Super fast shipping! It's heavy but if you're looking for comfort it's well worth lugging around. It's super comfy and it's one of the few feather beds I have bought that doesnt shift around on the bed. HUGE selling point for me. My last feather bed wasnt as heavy but I was constantly readjusting it on the bed. I haven't had to readust this one yet. Super comfy and well worth the price!

An excellent product. We were having a hard time sleeping on our new mattress. After purchasing the featherbed, we have slept like babies. Only problem was we ordered a kingsize and were shipped a queen. After trying to fit it back in the plastic bag we just kept it so it's a little short, but still great.

Every night I get in my bed I say "I love my bed!" What a delight this product has been. I wish I'd had it years ago. It is soooooooo comfortable I can't say enough about it. I've told many people about it and just won't go back to not having it. I miss it when I'm away. We put the bottom sheet just over the down mattress. This makes it a breeze to fluff every day. My great delight is every night just falling into this fluffy, comfy cloud and then drifting off to sleep. I love my bed!
