I thought I was really indulging myself with these sheets. They are very soft. However, if you have even slightly dry heels or any razor stubble on your legs, every movement can be scratchy. I don't think that it is necessarily this product, but rather, satin sheets in general. I would definitely go with sateen instead of satin.
I came to Overstock looking for silk or satin pillow cases. When I saw the Super Silky Satin Sheet set for the offered price, I went for it. Once I received the product, the invoice and packaging read, "...satin-like". I could obviously see that the fabric was not satin at all, but a bad imitation of satin. If the product had had the phrase "satin-like" in its description to begin with, I would've looked elsewhere. I am still going to keep the sheet set because I can never have too many, but I am still shopping around for either satin or silk sheets. As far as recommending the product to a friend, I'd have to say, "If satin is what you desire, you shouldn't buy these or you will be disappointed."
I did not find these sheets silky, or much like satain. What I can say is that they are shiny like satain. They just don't feel like it. I kept them because they give the look I want and the price was decent. Just don't expect them to be silky smooth.
First purchase from Overstock. I bought these sheets with low expectations so I would not be disappointed if they didn't work out. I could not believe the feel and quality. They are very soft and made very well. I already washed them one time and they seem even better than before. Great buy.
It is a beautiful set and smooth but if you have any callous on a foot or any skin that isn't perfectly smooth, the material will grab that spot and it is annoying. Otherwise a lovely set worth the price.
This product came packaged and appeared great. The one pillowcase didnt last but a few days and came all unwound at the seams. Upset me greatly to have something fall apart that quickly. Other than that, the sheets are just fine and comfy.
The stitching on the sheets was not well done. I ordered a queen size sheet set, however, the sheets were too big for the bed. I do have a pillow-top mattress, which makes it a little bigger than a normal mattress, however, it was still too big for the bed. I was quite disappointed in the quality of the sheets.
The value of the sheets were outstanding since the price was so low! They look great and are very soft/silky. My recommendation would be to wear socks to bed since any dry or rough skin will catch. Probably best to use for guest bedroom, not for personal everyday use unless you have perfect pedicured feet.
When I bought these sheets I was worried they would be like the cheesy 70's satin sheets, but I was wrong. These are very nice to sleep on! The fitted sheet has enough room for a topper on the bed and it doesn't pop off. I ended up buying 2 more sets. Highly recommended.
This item is nice to sleep on and the price is excellent no false advertisement on this one. Buy more than one if you can it's worth it.
I just bought my second set of these sheets -- they're great! Very soft, and thicker than I expected. They wash beautifully and get softer and more luxurious each time. The fitted sheet is extra deep and accomodates my very thick mattress with room to spare. Another nice thing is that they're not slippery like some silk or satin sheets -- they're just super comfy. Some days I can't wait to go to bed!
I liked the price on these sheets, that is the main reason I bought them. However, the first week we had them on the bed, one of the pillowcases ripped (not on the seam). Also, they are sateen, so watch out...they will snag and catch on EVERYTHING.
First off the color doesn't look like ivory, more like brassy yellow. The fitted sheet is too big w/ flimbsy elastic. It also looked like they sewed on extra fabric to make it longer on one side. Every night slept on them, I had to recover mattress w/ sheet. The sheets did feel very smooth and luxgerious except for when they let me know of all my dry skin areas. I have to wear socks when sleeping in these sheets, otherwise dry skin snags threads. Over all, not a bad buy for product quality.
I prefer real satin sheets, these are more silky than satiny and the thread pulls easily. Get a pedicure or sleep in socks or you'll be really uncomfortable.
I bought a set of white satin 400-thread count sheets for my cousin as a wedding gift. I bought them based off of other reviews. I have to admit that the reviews were correct. These sheets are really nice and they were worth their price. I have not found satin sheets of this quality at this price anywhere else. If you are looking for a mid to high quality set of satin sheets, then you should buy these.
This is finally the quality we want! I wanted a twin but could not find 400 thread count in a twin anywhere! This not only solves allergy problems even more present in the population than ever before but it harks back to the days when both sides of the top sheet had a satiny feel with a silky satin feel on at least one the the sides! The buyer never stopped wanted this quality, they just don't get this quality in all sizes anymore! Manufacturers, your buyers not only want to flock to this product still in a true silky satin but they wish they could find two sided 400 count satin once again! This at least has a usable top sheet, meaning not scratchy, on both sides, meaning that it is an actual luxury satin sheet for which the buyers still want to find and don't want to despair to find in a twin also! Thanks again! I came back and got more in case I couldn't find such a sheet again, even though I have to cut some of it down to twin size too, for blocking housedust without having to change my sheet every day while having a true luxury silky sheet on one side and a decent satin on the other!
Love these sheets....they are very soft and silky.
I do not recommend any microfiber sheet set. Period. I thought I'd take a chance because I was curious. Yuck; stick with cotton.
Put them on the bed and after sleeping on them one night, I took them off and haven't used them since. Fabric snagged easily just putting them on the bed. I have already sold them in a garage sale.

Somehow these sheets look cheap. They do not fit across the bed too well.
