I originally purchased this set to use as a cover for my duvet. I planned on purchasing a separate, nicer looking coverlet to go on top. However once the set arrived and I put them on my bed I was surprised to find that it looks wonderful on its own. The color is rich and it lays/fits very well to the bedding. The fabric could be softer to the touch but since sheets are between you and the duvet while sleeping I'm not too concerned. The fabric was not too heavy so my down comforter stays nice and fluffy. I believe this is a wonderful buy for the price and would recommend it highly.Read More
I am so blown away by the quality of the fabric, the detail, the color, etc. I love everything about it. The stripe pattern doesn't look exactly the same as the picture, it's just the thick stripe, no thin one. The ivory color is beautiful. The fabric is SOFT and THICK and SHINY. I bought a 400 tc duvet set for my room and this 250 tc for the guest room, and I'm not exagerating that this one is a better quality and look than the other one that I paid $22 more for. I noticed a lot of the reviews are about the blue and the green sets, so if you're worried about not getting the exact color right, just buy the white or the ivory one and accent with blue or green. You shouldn't pass up this amazing deal!Read More
I bought this duvet cover in a king size, white. The cover has a wonderful hand--silky and smooth yet crisp and fresh. I was impressed to see the piece has self-piping around the edges, which gives it a richer look. The subtle tonal stripe pattern adds depth and interest. Other high-quality details to note: The buttons are covered by a flap so they stay hidden, and there are openings in two of the corners to make adjusting the comforter inside easier. Shipping was amazingly fast, and Overstock's customer service was enormously helpful with my order. I'll definitely try Overstock again.Read More
This duvet set looks and feels very nice. I would definitely recommend it for the price! There's just one setback- it needs A LOT of ironing after washing. Even if you remove promptly from the dryer- it is still very wrinkly! I spent about an hour ironing it. So if you don't mind doing some ironing, this is a good buy!Read More
I pre-washed duvet cover per instructions and removed it from the dryer after cycle had finished. It looked like a wrinkled mess. So I ironed it.......no small feat seeing it was a king size. Didn't matter. Always looks wrinkled and messy.Read More

Duvets vs Down Comforters
A new duvet or down comforter is a fast, easy way to change the look of your bedroom decor. These bed coverings can also keep you warm and toasty on a cold winter's night. Traditionally, the word duvet, a French word meaning "down," was interchangeable with down comforter. Today, however, when most Americans say the word duvet, they are actually referring to a duvet cover. Duvet covers are made to slip over many different types of comforters, whereas a down comforter can be used as a standalone bed covering. Take a look at this article to learn more about the differences between duvets and down comforters.

Bed Sheet Thread Count Fact Sheet
The thread count of bed sheets refers to the number of threads per square inch of fabric. For example, if a square inch of fabric in a 300-thread count sheet with a standard weave were examined closely, 150 vertical threads and 150 horizontal threads would be counted, for a sum total of 300. The higher the thread count, the softer and smoother the sheets will be. Thread count is an important consideration to take when choosing a new set of sheets, but it should not be used as a sole indicator of quality. Equally important in choosing a bed sheet is the type and quality of the materials used as well as the fabric's weave.
Best Duvet Covers for Each Season
For those who use duvet blankets year-round, duvet covers allow you to change patterns and color to match every season. Along with the decor of the bedroom, a duvet cover may enhance the ambiance of the entire room or supply it with rich colors and textures for the ultimate comfort factor. If you purchased an expensive duvet, covering it throughout the year will keep it in good shape and allow you to wash it without compromising the batting. Look below to learn the best duvet covers for each season. Spring: Once the evenings start warming up, lighter fabrics like satin provide sheen and style to any bedroom. Satin duvet covers are most often comprised of fabrics like nylon, rayon or silk to provide durability as well as comfort. For spring, lighter colors, including pastels or variations of cream and beige, brighten the room. Summer: During warm summer nights, cotton duvets are one of the most common fabric choices. Light and airy, cotton is also easy to clean and comes in virtually every color and pattern. For the summer season, try a white duvet cover, which will make the room appear more open and spacious. A cotton blend that contains polyester is also an ideal choice for summer, because it is soft, requires simple washing and does not wrinkle. Fall: For the fall season, a duvet cover that is warm enough for intermittent chilly nights is an ideal choice. Microsuede duvet covers offer a soft feel to bedding and come in a variety of colors. This material is easy to care for and machine washable. For fall, choose earthy colors like beige, brown, dark green or burgundy for a seasonal look. Winter: A luxurious duvet cover is a favorite option for warmth during the winter months. Velvet is a soft fabric that comes in a variety of rich colors and provides plenty of insulation for cold nights. The luxurious texture looks good in any style of room decor. For winter months, choose deep, rich colors like burgundy, plum, forest green or chocolate to enhance the room. View All Duvet Covers Back to Guides Directory View All Duvet Covers
