Hello - is there grey or brown in the striping? I can detect the green, cream, and blue but cannot distinguish the other colours(s). Am hoping there's grey / charcoal in this. Thx!

Very nicely made, durable, just like picturedRead More
I ordered 2. One twin, one full/queen, as extra "snuggle watching tv quilts" :-). I washed first & they both held up well in both washer & dryer. Softer now. One tag says 100% cotton, another tag says polyester & cotton. It seems the filling must be a polyester fiberfill & the material cotton. Colors are good, I needed something w/ green iin it as main color & that is the main color. My laptop showed what is actually a blue as grey, but it's no big deal. Price was right for quality & warmth. Pillow shams like someone else mentioned don't match up pattern wise if you were planning on placing them side by side on a bed, but I won't even be using mine.Read More
I purchased this quilt for a bedroom in our beach house that has dark wood furniture and pale green walls. The colors were perfect and as I expected from the photos. The shams have two self-ties on each open side; they are well-sized for standard pillows. The sham fabric was the same on both sides but quilted on only one side, so it's not as reversible as I thought it would be. The quilt spread adequately covered our queen sized mattress and boxspring. It looks fresh, clean and bright. I haven't washed it yet and hope not to have to very often, so don't know if it will pill or how well it will wear, but for now I am extremely pleased with this set.Read More
This is a good summer weight quilt and shams. The colors are nice and go well with my dark stained cherry wood bedroom set. This was in a my (single adult male) bedroom and has nice outdoor/natural color feel. I wanted a bedspread/quilt light enough for summer in Denver so this was great. No complaints and I have it a few months and washed it a couple times.Read More
Great buy. Love the colors. They are true to the photo. Quality is great. We use this during the summer months. Perfect!Read More
At first, I thought I received the wrong quilt. From the vague photo and description, I thought it would be green, blue and white/ivory. There are also stripes of light yellow and reddish brown mixed in. This was not exactly what I wanted, but it was acceptable. Buyers should be aware that the white/ivory color in the quilt is not a bright white or a distinct ivory, but more of an off-white. Also, the stripes on the shams do not match up side-by-side (if this is important to you). These two details aren't a problem for me, but I do have one complaint - the quilt is about 12" too short head to foot. I have not taken measurements to compare to the online description, but when I put the quilt on the bed, I had to leave about 12" of the head of the bed uncovered in order to have enough fabric hang over the foot of the bed. This is covered by pillows and side tables, but without side tables to "hide" the shortcoming, it would be noticeable. All this said, the quilt laundered very well, and seems to be constructed to last a long time. I am overall pleased with this purchase.Read More
Page claims 100% cotton. Label says it is not. That is important to me, so I returned it. Seemed like okay material, etc.Read More
I haven't washed this yet so I can't say how it will hold up. But it feels like a well made quailty piece. The colors are great. Many different strips so I can use several different color sheets. The weight is perfect not too heavy not too light. The shams are the exact size of a standard pillow so the pillow peeks out after you tie the ends as opposed to the type that close in the rear of the pillow but this is not an issue for me. I believe I will enjoy this quilt for many years.Read More
Questions & Answers
Hi natesch, the other colors are a cream yellow coloring and a brown coloring. Thanks for shopping with us! Sherri R.
Where is this made?
Thank you for your inquiry, the item was made in China.
My son is 20, he has blue-gray walls...black tab curtains and med. color hardwood floors....is this set masculine enough? I'm having a difficult time deciding between this quilt, the Brisbane, and the Soho. All feedback welcome.
That is difficult to answer because it is so subject. With what you have described, the brisbane may be a very good choice. It has various blues, grays and black which are all the colors described in your son's room.
I don't think Stone Cottage Fresno will match your color scheme at all. It is lively and "fresh", not heavy or extemely "masculine". More Uni-sex.
Are both sides the same ?
Yes both sides are the same.
Yes, on the quilt, but not the shams. Note, this is not a "classic" quilt, but instead is striped fabric that has been "quilted" with lines in the direction of the strips. The backs of the shams are striped but not "quilted". Also, contrary to the photo, our quilt's lines run vertical head to toe vs. side-to-side. Shams run horizontal. Difference doesn't seem to be a distraction though. Beautiful colors -- more vibrant than photo -- and the natural feel of real cotton.
how much does it weigh?
We show a shipping weight of seven pounds, which is very close to the actual weight of the item.
Popular Types of Quilts
Out of all the bedding made, quilts may be the most diverse. Quilts are produced in all kinds of colors, patterns, sizes, styles and types. If you're looking for a quilt but don't know where to start, take a look at the popular types of quilts below to learn more about this beautiful kind of bedding. Amish quilts: These beautiful quilts reflect the Amish way of living and feature solid colors, deep hues, geometric patterns and very little embellishment. Amish quilts contain the highest quality of construction and stitching, and, sometimes, the wonderful stitch patterns (scrolls, feathers) contrast with the simple backgrounds of their quilts. Applique quilts: These quilts use a French needlework technique where fabric pieces are sewn onto another piece of material to create a design. Applique is used extensively in the quilting process and is not to be confused with patchwork. Patchwork pieces are joined together; applique is sewn on top of the whole piece. Baltimore album quilts: Baltimore album quilts came from Maryland in the early 1800s. Each block in the design of these quilts is appliqued differently, often in ornate floral patterns. Bangladeshi quilts: These quilts are made with layers of Saree cloth. Saree cloth is silk cloth used by women of India to wrap and fold around the body as a garment. The cloth is usually 40 to 60 inches wide by 6 yards long. These quilts are used as bedding or as decorative pieces. Bargello quilts: Bargello quilts are created with offset squares in an up-and-down geometric "V" pattern. The small squares of different fabrics and the colorful designs make these quilts true works of art. Hawaiian quilts: Hawaiian quilts are not pieced, and they usually showcase a large, symmetrical applique in the center of the quilt. Most often the background is white or another solid color. Patchwork quilts: Patchwork quilts are constructed of many small pieces of fabric which are put together in an improvised or irregular pattern. This is a well-known quilt style, and examples of historical patchwork quilts are found in many museums. Ralli quilts: Ralli quilts, sometimes known as rilli quilts, are traditional quilts made in India or Pakistan. There is an abundance of embroidery as well as applique on the patchwork patterns. Star quilts: Star quilts are created with a large star shape, or several star shapes, dominating the pattern. Wedding ring quilts: Wedding ring quilts are crafted in a design of interlocking rings. This pattern goes far back in history: in the fourth century it was used to decorate drinking cups in Rome. Wedding ring quilts are highly popular and make wonderful wedding gifts. If you're looking for a gift to please an engaged couple, you can't go wrong with a wedding quilt. Bedding always makes a significant gift for the bride and groom, and a quilt with coordinating Egyptian cotton sheets can be even better. View All Quilts Back to Guides Directory View All Quilts
