It's true that this duvet is not a "Swiss Dot" patttern, it's a tone on tone pattern of small squares (which I much prefer!) People typically think of a swiss dot as a raised soft round bump - this is much better. The fabric is excellent quality and it fit my queen bed perfectly. The shams are well made and large enough for slightly oversized pillows so the flap in the back does not pull - very very lux! Great quality for the price - has a very high-end look. I highly recommend this set.
I love this bedding. It is my favorite because it is easy to put on. The opening where the duvet goes in the duvet cover is wide enough to not have to stuff it in. The little square designs are pretty and are a nice detail. I think it brightens up my room and I get lots of compliments on it as well. I normally put it on my bed right out of the dryer, so it doesn't stay wrinkled for long.
Love this duvet. Nice material - no wrinkles out of the dryer! Comes out nicely after washing/drying in machine. Button closures and small openings on corners help duvet to stay in place. Nice pattern. Only drawback is the size, a little short for my king bed. If purchasing for a queen, buy the king if you want any hangover like a comforter/spread. Great replacement for a bedspread and is easily washable, just wish it was a little bigger. Agree with other reviews on the swiss dot being squares, but it is still pretty. First purchase from Overstock. Pleased with the service and delivery. Will definitely shop this site again.
Bought two for my mom and was so very happy to see what it looked like and felt like! Really pretty and stylish (elegant looking). Not one complaint. Would have bought more but they were out. My mom runs a bed a breakfast and we want to look, top notch. This is that, exactly!
Do not let the "swiss dot" fool you that it is feminine...not at all. The dots are squares which give it a very slight texture look. You feel like you have walked into a spa hotel bedroom in NYC. Very inviting and tranquil for my guest bedroom. Washed and dried to perfection. Cording detail is the finishing touch. I am using it with a plain black wood headboard with black sateen pillows tossed about....loving it!!!
Thanks to everyone who wrote reviews, they are what convinced me to buy this item. From you I learned to expect squares, not dots, and the size, texture, quality, were all documented here first. I am delighted with this purchase. Quality is everything. The only thing I have to add is that the crisp, yet soft fabric, very finely woven, also has a strong, subtle piping, or maybe it's called welting? It's the seam, not just stitched, but rolled in a fine rope-like seam. This was a happy surprise. If quality matters, and you were hoping to find it at a better price, this beautiful duvet cover keeps the promise.
This duvet is nice and a good value it is a square pattern rather than a dot but that was ok with me. It washes up well but it does need ironing to look its best. nice to have the shams that match.

As some other reviewers have mentioned, this duvet cover is not a true swiss dot with raised texture. The squares are also larger than I imagined (they are about 1/4" and I assumed they'd be much more subtle). When I saw it in the package I didn't think I would like it, but I tried it on my bed and changed my mind. It's bright white with a nice subtle sheen that bounces the light and is quite pleasant to look at in our bedroom. It's also very soft- good quality.

This is not traditional swiss dot fabric; rather it's just a cotton sateen with a small, subtle geometric pattern. Very good quality, especially for the price! Highly recommend it.

Whoever heard of paying $$$ for a 100% cotton 350-ct King Size duvet? You can't get it at that price at any of the big box bargain retailers or even at ***/***. This item came just as described, feels great, fits nicely and will hopefully stand up to years of washing.
This duvet is REALLY 350 thread count. So many time I have found that the thread count stated is a joke. Not really dotted Swiss, but little squares, which is fine for me. The size ia ample. I may purchase another one.

If you are not particular about the color, it is OK. It is also much heavier than 350 count. I have several of those and they are so light, this is quite heave. What I did not like, the beige is not a nice beige, it has a pink hue, which bothers me. I actually have returned the set and ordered one in white
I must say... This is a beautiful set. I really need a cover for my Duvet, but I didn't want to pay an (arm and leg) for one. After reading most of the reveiws, I decided to order one. I was quite surprised how beautiful it was when I got it. The only problem I have with it is, after washing it (per instructions) It did wrinkle pretty badly... after ironing it was just as beautiful again. Great value!! I highly reccomened it. Just be prepared to iron when it's washed
