Wow, what a topper. One of our bedrooms has a very cheap queen sized mattress. When I say cheap, I do mean really cheap. My mother visited and said it was awful and needed to sleep on the couch. My son admitted that it was bad, too. He said he could feel the springs. So I checked Overstock to see what they had, knowing that they have an abundance of bedding products. When I saw the price and the great reviews I was so sold. Once it arrived we let it air out on the mattress for 2 days. It had a slight odor, but nothing too strong like others have stated. We also had the windows open, so that probably helped. After the 2 days were up we made the bed and my son had a great night's rest. We just had family visiting who used the bed and they said they rested well, too I could not be more pleased with this purchase. Great comfort at a great price...you can't beat that!

We purchased this topper for our camper. The mattress we have in the camper is so cheap you could feel the springs. This did smell a bit, but aired it out for a few days & since it's been on the bed I can't smell it at all. It feels wonderful to sleep on, my husband is asking for one for our bed at home for a Father's day present.

My husband and I have been sleeping on this mattress topper for three weeks now. It has given life to a mattress that was quickly becoming one that needed to be replaced. This topper covers the entire mattress(king). We're very pleased! We rest better, sleep more soundly and wake up with fewer aches and soreness than before we made the purchase. We chose to go with the peaks side up to encourage air flow and we haven't noticed sleeping warmer as some toppers do. The only thing I found misleading is the hand print shown in the advertisement photo. This doesn't retain a shape and then slowly spring back up like true memory foam. But, that wasn't important to me with the comfort level we feel this topper has. If you want the memory foam effect, keep looking. We, though, are very satisfied.

I purchase this matres topper becouse i got a really cheap spring matress and after 3 month i was king of feeling the spring, I can not afford a new one and this look like a decent option. The matress topper arrived nicely packed, no marks or twist after I extend it, it smell when I open it but I let it have some air as they recomend and it was not so bad the first nigth. I am sleeping way better now, and if change to the other side of the bed there is not hole left behind it just come back to its normal position. There is only 2 problems: 1) it retain my body heat and this hot summer nigth it has been a bit too hot iven whith the Ac on. 2) i am sleeping so well that i do not whant to get up. Also i think that with 2-3 inches maybe was enough but so far so good

What a bargain! The mattress protector alone offers a wonderful pillow top for the mattress. I bought this for a few reasons; I have a ten year old mattress that I can't afford to replace but is like sleeping directly on springs. I saw the great reviews for this item, and the price was right so I decided "what the heck" and took the plunge. I haven't been disappointed. I was looking into a Memory Foam mattress because I have a bad back! Between the metal in my back and my knee, I don't sleep through the night - ever! Especially on a 10 year old, sagging mattress. I needed to do something and I'd heard that these types of mattresses are good for back pain sufferers. Guess what? It is! It's not too soft. I hate a soft mattress. But it's not so firm that it won't mold to my body, supporting key pressure points, relieving some of the pain of lying on my side which I haven't been able to do in ages. Being a side sleeper, the past two years of only being able to sleep on my back hasn't been relaxing, to say the least! The only problem that I have is that my mattress has increased in height to the point where I only have two sets of sheets that fit it. A good five or six inches in height was added. Fortunately, I didn't have a pillow top mattress but I don't know how people starting with a pillow top would be able to find sheets with deep enough pockets so that you weren't constantly tugging at them to keep them from sliding off. In that case, I guess you'd have to go with replacing the entire mattress. Not one of my better reviews written in a cohesive fashion but the short story is: a good expense and worth at least double what Overstock is currently charging. Notes: - Be sure to follow the directions on how to unwrap the mattress. Otherwise, there's a high risk of tearing the mattress in it's compressed state. - There is a slight odor to the foam and although it's slowly dissipating, it's still there two months later. Not unbearable though. A nice fabric softener used on the mattress protector really helps. It should be noted that I only aired it out for 24 hours before covering making the bed so if you have a place to let it rest completely unfolded, I'm sure that the odor could be reduced more quickly. Either way, it's not unbearable.

I bought two of these, a twin and a queen size for my mother's home where the mattresses are made of hard lumber. They definitely made the beds easier to sleep on. The 3-inch depth is large enough to increase the comfort level but not so big that you can't get a fitted sheet over the mattress. My only gripe is the out of the package smell. I do not know what the smell is, only that it is not natural and it is pungent enough that you can't sleep on these right out of the package. The twin pad did not smell as much as the queen. These are heavy mattress pads. When you buy them, you need to air them out with no sheets or covers over them for a week or so. We ended up putting these in the unoccupied guest room with the window cracked until the odor dissipated. When I bought these, it was cold enough that the windows were shut and the heat was on. These might have aired out quicker in the spring or summer.

Despite the picture, this foam is not actually a solid 3" of foam. Instead, it's about 1 1/2" solid foam and another 1 1/2" of eggshell foam. I had been hopping for a full 3" of foam, like the topper I have on my main mattress. Still, this topper does transform the bed: My roommate has one of the hardest beds in the world. (I probably could sleep on the floor and it would be better than her bed!) So, when I have to sleep in her room because we have guests, I am always miserable. I decided to spring for a foam topper for her -- and, my, what a difference! You sink into the bed. There is still a level of firmness beneath the foam, but the topper makes you forget all about it. Definitely worth the investment! And as for the smell, I simply let the topper air out for four days before putting it on the bed. Made all the difference in the world. The smell is barely noticeable.

Comfy and comfortable. Package very good and delivered promptly. Opened it up and let it air out and it springs up to shape nicely. Good fit for a queen bed.

Bought the king size comforter. Is is a rich vanilla toned color and looks exactly as shown in the picture. I am using it on a thick mattress and box spring and it is long and wide enough to just cover the box spring w/o a dust ruffle. I followed the directions to air out for 2 days then plumped it up. The slight odor on opening dissapeared in a day or so. It has a very slight sheen to it. I am using in a a aqua and dark grey room more on the casual side and it looks great. It could be fancied up if that is your style. The quality of stiching all around is great.

I like my beds soft, like "Princess and the Pea" soft (I'm a very light sleeper). Because so many "old-school" spring mattresses get worn out in the middle, I decided to buy an air mattress since it can be adjusted for softness and won't sag over time (you just inflate it, right?). However, if you buy a no-frills air mattress, they can get a little warm since you sleep close to the plastic/rubber mattress base and there's no breathable cushion to keep you cool. Of course, when you start pricing out the air-mattresses with the extra memory foam, latex toppings and fabric coverings, they can run several thousands of dollars. So I decided to "build my own" high-end mattress. I bought a basic air mattress (I bought an Aerobed for under $100 that has a hand-held remote for inflating), and then I covered it with this latex topper (about $100), a mattress pad and sheets. The latex topper has lots of little holes in it, so it's squishy-soft but still keeps me cool and comfy. Now, I have a great night's sleep! In summary, instead of spending $1500-$3000 on a new high-end sleep number-type air mattress, I've created my own by purchasing a simple air mattress with a remote and adding this latex topper, all for about $200! Regardless of your bed set up, I'd recommend this latex topper for anyone that wants a softer top to sleep on. Note: When I opened the box, there was a tiny bit of latex smell, but that dissipated within minutes.

This comforter is a rich red and gold paisley pattern and overstuffed just like the picture. The details on the comforter and the dust ruffle and the weight of the fabric make this look much more expensive than it is. Being able to just tack on the dust ruffle to the box spring was great, especially with a king size bed. The only thing I didn't like was the chemical smell when it arrived. I aired it out for a week before I could put it on the bed. I am very happy with my new set. I wish the decorative pillows were available as well.

This is the third "memory foam" product I have purchased from Overstock over the past 5 years. I am very disappointed in the quality of this topper. I would not call it memory foam but rather simple foam that is very, very soft and collapses under you (I am small at 5'5 and 125 lbs). The topper does not mold to your body and spring back like good memory foam toppers and mattresses do. It also does not limit the movement you feel from someone else in the bed. I purchased a similarly described 3 lb topper and 10" mattress (with 3" of 3lb) by Bodipedic in the past, and both were of high quality and came at excellent prices. I was amazed at how both items improved my sleep and comfort! I wanted another Bodipedic topper but the only one available on the site now has egg crate on one side, and I was afraid this feature would decrease the quality so I went with the similarly priced Comfort Dreams based on the description. I would NOT recommend anyone waste their money on this product. The pillows are also of poor quality compared to similar ones I have purchased at popular local stores. I wish I could return the set, but it is next to impossible to get it back in the box once expanded. I really wish that Overstock would indicate not just the density (3 lb, 4 lb, etc.) but the IDF of memory foam products, which tells you much more about the overall quality and firmness you can expect. The only things positive I can say about the Comfort Dreams set I received is that it arrived in a timely manner and aired out within two days.

I bought this mattress topper because I didn't want to buy a whole new set. Now I don't need a new set. This is like sleeping on air. I let it expand overnight as suggested and there was no chemical smell at all. It made my sheets fit the bed better and I can't say enough about how comfortable my bed is now. The last egg crate type topper I bought before getting new mattresses was hot. This memory foam one doesn't make your bed feel overheated and it relaxes your whole body. I'm sleeping better than I have in years. The support from the topper is like sleeping on a new set of box springs and mattress and I'm glad to have it.

I've ordered 2 of these and they are perfect. I use them year round in upstate NY. Not too heavy for spring or fall, perfect for winter and I even use it during the summer when the air conditioning is on. They wash well and hold up to heavy use.

Have a coil spring mattress 10 + years old that seemed to be causing body aches for my wife and I. We would wake up in the morning with hip pain, back pain etc. We figured it was time to look for another mattress but what to choose? Another coil spring (the only kind we ever had), memory foam or air mattress. After doing some research we decided we would give memory foam a chance. Instead of spending $1300 or more for a queen size memory foam mattress we decided to try the Bodipedic Essentials 3in Memory Foam Wave Mattress Topper for far much less and could'nt be happier. It is so comfortable we look forward to sleeping on our bed again. The unbelievable part was we didnt wake up with the body aches and pains, associated with our coil spring mattress (without the topper), after the very first night of sleeping on it. It has been a month or so since we got the topper and our opinion hasnt changed, we love it. Slight odor but goes away in about a week or two, no big deal. We were so impressed with it that we placed another order for two other family members going on our recommedation.

We have had this pad for approx. 6 months, I took it outside to air it out for spring & it fell apart. Very dissapointing, but I guess you get what you pay for.

I bought the mattress for my teenage son. At first we put it on top of his old matress. He complained it made his back hurt. Once we removed the old mattress and just put it on top of his box spring he hasnt complained since. The four inch height is great. I laid on the mattress to see how comfortable it was and it felt very comfortable. My only complaint would be the smell. It's been two week and the smell is still there. When we first got it we let it air out in our extra bedroom over night. In the morning we put it outside on our patio to air it out some more. I bought an enclosed casing for it and you can still smell the foam. Luckily the weather has been nice so I've been leaving my sons window open.

The ONLY reason I am not rating this an Excellent is because I have not yet washed it, so I don't know how well it holds up in the laundry. Otherwise, I am very happy with the weight and feel of this down-alternative comforter. I live in the PNW, so it is taking Spring/Summer awhile to show up. This keeps me plenty warm at night (I am usually on the colder side) and I stick my feet out from under for some air. I ordered the White and it is very white! I also purchased a King sized, even though I have a Queen bed and it is leaving extra to hang over to the box springs. ImaHappyGirl!!

I was very happy with the generous size of this comforter on our king size bed, however, the picture shown is very deceiving....it is not full and fluffy. I tried fluffing it up in the dryer on air but there is not much fill in each section to "fluff up". I considered returning it but decided it would be a good weight for the Spring. Actually, I put it over our existing comforter for extra warmth for this time of year..

I am very disappointed with this product. It was advertised as an "all season" comforter, but it is too hot even in the winter, although we keep our house cool during the night. I can't imagine using it in spring, summer or fall. Both my husband and I woke up wet from prespiration and I had to leave the bed open to air out during the day. I did not feel I could return it since I had used it.

After reading reviews on this product, I purchased this topper to extend the life of my mattress (could feel the springs!) until I am ready to invest in the Tempurpedic. The quality was more than I though possible for that price. I feel like I am sleeping on a new mattress. I noticed no smell at all, but did air it out for ~5 hours based on the recommendations here. I am so pleased with this topper.
