I am all about affordable luxury and to me luxury means well made and above average quality. These sheets, while out of this World soft and comfortable, do not hold up to daily wear. I purchased these sheets on July 6th and as of today, September 16th, I've had to discard one of the pillow cases because there was a large hole in it. It happened along a seam, however, it wasn't the seam that came apart it was the actual fabric that deteriorated. I consistently washed the sheets every two weeks in cold water, gentle cycle, and low heat in the dryer. The sheets started pilling within a week and they act as Velcro for lint. Every single time I've washed the sheets I've had to use a lint roller on them because the lint sticks so badly to the the sheets. The sheets are only two and half months old but they are in worse condition than the set of sheets that I had before these that I owned for 4 years.
1st off I ordered the color pearl because I wanted wanted off-white sheets and everywhere that sold ivory sheets were just to yellow. No yellowish tint to these at all and the sheen on these is just perfect & not too shiny. 2nd the weight of these is great. Not heavy and not thin but very durable and well constructed. Perfect for warmer months. 3rd the fitted sheet is deep enough to fit my 15" mattress & 3" fiberbed topper. And lastly these sheets are silky smooth and I'm sure will get even softer with continued use and proper care. Extra pillow cases are a bonus. Luxurious sheets without the luxury price tag. Will be purchasing the white sheets in the near future. Extremely happy with these sheets :-)
These sheets seemed like a good buy for supima cotton. I was disappointed when they arrived and were made in China. I thought supima cotton = USA. After about 6 months of use, the surface of the sheets has "pilled" and the texture is more like flannel than sateen. Don't buy these.
i have always had a great experience purchasing sheets from overstock, but these sheets are terrible. the tag says 600tc, but these sheets are thin, stretch out of shape, are covered in pills, and have faded. this has happened after 2 months of use. very disappointing.
When I first got them one of the pillow cases and the fitted sheet had huge strings coming out of the seams. For the price though, I let it slide, clipped the strings with a scissors and moved on. Initially they were soft and the color was good (though I got white, so that's hard to mess up). I've been using these sheets for almost a month now, and I'm increasingly disappointed. After only two washes they started to pill, and by the third they are rough. Also, they collect dirt horribly. I don't just mean because they are white it shows more. Because of the rough texture they've developed, debris just sticks to them (I live in an old house and my bed is under a window). I'm really unhappy with this purchase and plan on getting a different sheet set.
I was a bit bummed with these sheets. After a week of using them, the soft feeling was gone and was beginning to pill. I washed them and thought it would be ok, but they are still a bit rough... not the quality I would expect for the price I paid.
These sheets are just what I wanted, soft, silk-like, light weight (for the summer heat) but they are not color-fast! There is a patch on the bottom sheet where my face rests where the color is gone - I don't use harsh face creams or lotions, don't believe I have acid drool, nor do I perspire bleach - can't understand why this is happening. I'll continue to use these sheets but I'm not 100 percent happy with them.
I'm wildly disappointed with this sheet set. The color is gorgeous and the fabric was nice when I first opened the package, but after I washed it the sheet set had an unbelievable amount of static cling. It was annoying to make the bed, as the sheets would stick together and make it harder to re-position the flat sheet. I do use fabric softener, and I'm not about to blame that as the problem. I just washed my sheets a second time and noticed that lint clings to them like nobody's business. Now, I have a flokati rug and two cats so I need sheets that won't attract lint. After I pulled them out of the dryer and started making my bed, I was pulling lint and hair off of the sheets. Of course, one of the reasons that I wash my bedding every week is because I have a rug and two cats that all shed. After struggling with getting my flat sheet relatively wrinkle-free on top of the fitted (cling problem), I noticed there was a tiny hole in the flat sheet already. What a waste of money, as these will not last and are irritating to wash.
I was looking for a sheet set to replace my current 520 thread count cotton sheets. They lasted 5 years in a busy lodge operation and were washed often. I choose to replace with these as they are 600 thread count and so I thought they would have weight to them and they had extra pillowcases. They are very lightweight and silky, they come out of the washing machine very wrinkled, they feel cheap and do not look like they will stand up to any snags. I will be amazed if they last more than six months. On the positive side, the colour is as expected and the pin tucks are nice, they were delivered quickly.
These tore after a comparatively short time, even though I laundered correctly and took care of them. When buying sheets don't look at the thread count until you're first sure the sheets are 100% Egyptian cotton. then check the thread count. Polyester sheets don't have staying power, but you get what you pay for.
I ordered these for a shower gift for my nephew and his finance. They loved them! The only problem is that I've likely spoiled them. I'm certain neither had ever had 600-thread count sheets so now they'll know what they've been missing if they won't buy that quality in the future.
I bought my first supima cotton sheets from Costco. These are every bit as good at a slightly lower price plus you get 2 extra pillow cases. They have a cool feel to them so if you have a problem with hot flashes etc. these are the sheets for you.
