Finally a pillow that is both firm and soft at the same time. We ordered 2. My husband and I found this pillow to be the BEST pillow we've ever used. We have about 12 pillows between the two of us because we could never get comfortable. Happy to say we threw the other pillows in another room and only need this one!! Great for migranes, sinus problems, back problems...etc. because the pillow keeps it support and doesn't feel heated after laying on it. It keeps an even temperature. Sleep is so important and this pillow was the best buy for our money!

First of all, I'd like to address the person who said this pillow is incredibly hard. While I will agree, it seemed that way to me the first night, the fabric cover does loosen with wear, so it starts to conform to your head and neck. I'v been using my pillow now for 3+ weeks, and I've got to say, this is the best pillow I've ever had! I have very severe neck problems and approximately 2 years ago my chiropractor urged me to get a pillow that would conform to my head and neck. I've been looking for something like that ever since. It does take a couple of days to get used to the different feel of this pillow, especially if you are used to a very fluffy pillow, however, it is definitely worth it! After sleeping on this pillow for the past 3+ weeks, my neck has consistently adjusted better when I've seen my doctor than it has prior to this time. The only change could be my new pillow! I would highly recommend this pillow to anyone, especially if you suffer from neck problems or headaches. This is the one for me, that's for sure!! A+++

There were mixed reviews on this pillow that I almost did not buy it. But, I did anyway. Now I am not a "firm", "memory foam" pillow person which is what I thought this one would be like. MY hubby had a U neck snow bean pillow which needed to be replaced so I went ahead and bought (2) one for now and one for later. WOW I mean it is NICE. It conforms to your head very nicely and cradles your neck and shoulders. The middle is slightly lower than the sides which gives it a cradle effect. I slept like a baby and did not have to move to "flump" my pillow. Needless to say the later pillow is now mine. Go ahead get this pillow, I think you will be pleasantly surprised. I was

I was cautious so I bought only one for myself to see if I liked it. I loved it. So I bought one for my husband, and as skeptical as he is, he liked it, too. Our grandchildren stayed over our house and slept with our bean pillows, and now I am ordering 3 more. One word of caution: you cannot put the pillows in a regular cotton pillowcase. They need to move and/or expand. I made pillowcases out of jersey-like fabric and they are great. Great value!!

This is by far the best pillow I have used. In the past i have used buckwheat hull [pillows with some success to alleviate neck & shoulder pain. They had deteriorated to the point that they were no longer effective & I ran across this Snow Bean Pillow in my search for some type of replacement. Now I had never heard of "snow beans" & at first the idea of polystyrene pellets wasn't exactly thrilling... beanbag chairs came to mind, but then i read ALL of the reviews & started to think this might work. I came to the conclusion that most folks who complained about it probably hadn't taken the time to find a big enough pillow case for it, whilst the people who liked it REALLY liked it! I have had the pillow for nearly a month, in fact due to a death in the family I didn't get to use it to sleep in my own bed for several weeks. First off, the texture of it is amazing, the pellets are so tiny they really do have a wonderful snowy texture. compared to the buckwheat hulls, they offer similar support without the crunchiness. sleeping in a series of strange beds, this pillow worked like a charm. I did modify a ultra-suede sham by removing the row of stitching around the edges to create a pillowcase that is both large enough & has some give, which is the secret to this pillow. In order for it to function at it's best, it cannot be confined by too small of a case. The sectioning creates a slight valley to nest my head & neck and I have decreased my arm & shoulder pain drastically as a result of sleeping with the Snow Bean pillow.I was also concerned that it might be too warm, i tend towards more natural fibers & am at an age where it is very easy to become hot & overheated. I am happy to say that this is not the case, there is plenty of air circulation & I an blissfully comfy over the course of the night, even when the rest of the bed gets to feeling too warm & I kick the covers off... just one less hassle to deal with. I am no longer tossing & turning in agony all night long. I seem to fall asleep the moment my head hits this pillow & while I may change position once or twice during the night, it is always with a sense of pleasure that I have found a reliable source of comfort finally. When I told my husband I had ordered another pillow he almost flipped. Over the years I have ordered countless pillows seeking a restful nights sleep. My neck needs to be stable and supported, this one does the job without me constantly waking up to adjust my pillow, I just get comfy and that's it. It's firm so if you want a soft pillow I would tell you that you may be dissapointed, but if you need firm support and feeling like your head is being held in place this one is it. It looks weird beside my husbands big fluffy one but for me it's the best. I enjoy to going to bed and knowing I will sleep in comfort.

I haven't used this pillow yet and I've had it over a week and a half. I'm airing it out before using it. The unusual chemical smell is quite strong. I've had it outside in the sunshine and it is getting better. I have a couple of the small squishy pillows that I use and I think if the smell ever goes away, this will be a fantastic pillow. If the smell does not diminish, I wil send it back. The shipping on this item was very slow. I ordered two items and the other item arrived within 3 days. This item took a lot longer, which is very unusual for Overstock.

I loved the little squish pillows, but barely big enough to sleep on and would squish too much, and my cat wanted to share it also. So came the search for the full sized beaded pillow.This pillow is sectioned so it doesn't empty under your head, never need a second pillow to read in bed and big enough for me and my cat! Now if I could just find a mattress made out of it! I have neck and shoulder problems and this pillow allows me to sleep more comfortable at night.

Expected a pillow with more "ump" I kept to use on the sofa instead of using for the bed. Very disappointed!

I am a side sleeper. I have been looking for a microbean pillow to hug. I thought this might be the perfect pillow...it certainly is the right price but the size is a little too big. I slept on it last night and was very pleased. I will keep searching for a smaller bean pillow but will use this one to rest my head on at night. One big drawback on this pillow....The Smell. If you are at all sensative to plastic smells, this might drive you nuts or give you a headache. Other than the smell I would have rated it 5 stars overall.

This is perfect for my bad neck. It conforms itself without me having to constantly plump and adjust. My daughter loves it and she has just ordered one for herself.

I purchased the Snow Bean Pillow because I have another Microbead pillow called the Micropedic Pillow by Tony Little/Homedics and love it. This pillow is much firmer and almost a little over-stuffed. However, I do like the pillow. I use my Micropedic pillow most of the time but go to the Snow Bean Pillow when my neck is stiff. It cradles my head a little better and provides better neck support. If you're the type of person who likes your pillow to come up on the sides and touch your face, then you'll probably like this pillow. You need to use a jersey knit pillow case with this type of pillow or it will feel way too firm.

I wasn't sure I was going to like the pillow when I got it. I've tried everything, including the very expensive tempurpedic pillow. I've spent thousands at the chiropractor... till I bought the snow bean pillow. You can mash it up into your neck for support and it stays... form it however you want it. For me, it works great. But, make sure you like a thicker pillow. My husband likes thin pillows, so this isn't one that works for him.

I just purchased your Snow Bean Pillow. I have had cervical problems for years and have Fibromyalgia. Sleeping well is a rarity. However, since I have gotten this pillow, I wake up without my neck or head hurting for the first time in years. From the first night, there was no pain. Only one problem, I do not want to get up in the moring and leave my pillow. Thank you Overstock.com. I would have never found this pillow if not for you. All my other pillows have been thrown out.

I have been searching for the perfect pillow for a very long time and have been dissapointed many times till now I have had this wonderful pillow for a few months now and I really love it , love it love it ! It is so comfortable it moves with me to mold my head and neck, I don't have to keep punching my pillow into shape anymore , the only draw back is it can not be put into a tight pillow case so I have it in an over sized one untill I can find one that stretches, it needs to be loose so it can move freely, Or till I make one for it. The price is very good also.

This is the best pillow I've ever had. You can shape it however you want by shifting the beads and it stays that way firmly. Adapts to however I want to sleep. I recommend a soft, stretchable pillow case such as the kind made out of t-shirt material - they sell sheet sets at most stores (I forget what the material is called). This allows the pillow to stretch out. I think people who found the pillow too hard simply have it in a restrictive case - it needs to expand. It is a firm pillow, but very shapeable. I previously used a Pillo-Pedic foam pillow, and I liked that but the foam wears out too quickly which makes it $$$. I tried memory foam but found it wasn't supportive or soft. This one is perfect.

I have purchased down, feather, buckwheat hulls (which killed my ears), foam rubber, memory foam, synthetic pillows. You name it I have tried them. This is the first pillow which actually cradles my neck and head. I put it in a pillow case which made it too firm. It needs to stretch and move around. I LOVE THIS PILLOW!!!!!! I find it works better without a case unless it is a stretchey one. I have not had a stiff neck since purchasing it about a month ago. Very comfortable.

I slept on eggshell pillows for many years, and I switched after recommendation from chiropractor. The first night I slept like a log. I didn't have aches whatsoever in my neck or shoulder. I couldn't believe it! I so thoroughly enjoyed this product, I bought 3 more! I can control the stiffness by using a 'tigher' fitting pillow case. I take this pillow with me whenever I travel.

I really enjoy this pillow. It is very comfortable. I am always on the hunt for the perfect pillow and this wasclose. It was a bit hot is the only reason it did not get a 5 rating. I would have given a 4.5 if I could have.
