These are the nicest of all the high TC sheets I have ever found. They are thick but soft after washing and only one dryer cycle. Not at all canvas like as one reviewer observed. I have used 1200 tc sheets for years and wanted to try these to see if there was a significant difference in quality for the price and there is. I like them a lot. It is true they are not as white as I expected but a long way from ivory.Read More
To me, they are perfect, if you like heavy sheets, like I do, these are for you. They do not rankle easily, the color stays like new, and they have a nice shine and silky feeling.Read More
If you are looking for a sheet with the look and feel of a canvas dropcloth, this one is for you! What it lacks in a sateen comfort finish it makes up for with shrinkage so it no longer fits the bed. I cannot recommend this product.Read More
These sheets are amazing, thicker than 1000 count, but smooth and luxuious to sleep on. they will be extremely durable!!! Be aware they are not soft and silky.out of the package......but heavy and dense. Typical of high count sheets......they soften as they are used and washed. I have always bought at least 1000 ct sheets, and decided to try these 1500 count....I am very pleased and will buy another set right away.....the fit is very good and they are dreamy to sleep on!!!Read More
...after several wash cycles, these sheets are so smooth and soft that nothing compares. This is the second set we've ordered. The last set lasted over seven years of daily use before they finally wore out at the seams and folded edges. We had purchased an alternate set of 800-count, but they were only used eight or ten times because they weren't as soft. I had checked overstock from time-to-time and they don't always seem to have these in stock. We were literally despondent that we might not be able to replace our old, fraying 1500-thread count sheets. Needless to say, I was thrilled to find them back in stock in time for Christmas. I have recommended these sheets to several skeptical friends who ordered a set of their own. All made a point to comment later what great advice it was to purchase these sheets. Pretty much everyone now agrees they are so spoiled that a night at a Four Seasons, or similar, just isn't the same as sleeping in your own bedding. Assuming you like your mattress, for far, far less than a single night's stay at a high-end hotel, these sheets will, literally, transform your own bed into one of the most comfortable places you will ever sleep. This one is a no-brainer.Read More
Even as much as I paid for these sheets, I should have known when it said "fits up to 18" deep" that it would't be true. I have a 17" mattress, I did wash the sheets before use, and the bottom sheet fights to stay on the mattress. This is very irritating because the reason I went with a higher dollar sheet set was in hopes of getting sheets that didn't shrink and didn't slip off the bottom mattress. That being said, since we are going to buy a new mattress set in January and we will never have another 18" deep mattress, the sheets should fit fine at that time. They are, as others have said, VERY heavy (hubby likened them to canvas) but are soft. I think we will be glad of the heaviness in the winter but hope by summer they will have softened up in the wash. I am of two minds on the sheets - on the one hand, they are very well made, very silky to the touch, are obviously not a cheap set, and they are a beautiful dark color. On the other hand, I battle the bottom sheet, trying to keep it on the mattress. Would I buy them again - maybe. I won't know until I see if they soften up in the wash and see if they shrink more. Do I like them? Yes, very much. But probably not enough to buy again.Read More
I was surprised by the thickness of these sheets has have never purchased such a high thread count. Before washing them I considered sending them back, but I am glad I didn't. I really enjoy the weigh and strength of them with my down comforter. The only concern I have is that the white isn't as white as I expected them to be. I held them up against my old white sheets, and they are a little beiger then I thought they should be.Read More

Bed Sheet Thread Count Fact Sheet
The thread count of bed sheets refers to the number of threads per square inch of fabric. For example, if a square inch of fabric in a 300-thread count sheet with a standard weave were examined closely, 150 vertical threads and 150 horizontal threads would be counted, for a sum total of 300. The higher the thread count, the softer and smoother the sheets will be. Thread count is an important consideration to take when choosing a new set of sheets, but it should not be used as a sole indicator of quality. Equally important in choosing a bed sheet is the type and quality of the materials used as well as the fabric's weave.
