Bottom sheet tore at seam as it did not quite fit the mattress length. Liked the silky feel of 800 count.Read More

The fitted sheet was easy to put on without much effort. I think I could add another mattress pad to bed and the fitted sheet would still fit with room to spare. Did wash before putting on bed. The onhly down side was in the product specs, it said that the pillow cases were 21" X 32" and the packaging states 20" X 30" , and since I have queen size pillows do not fit as I would have liked.Read More
Love these sheets! Soft and thick so I know they will last many washes. Perfect for both Summer and Winter. If you are a freak about wrinkles, remove them straight from a hot dryer and make the bed immediately. Color was true to picture. I will be buying these again in a few months.Read More
Not as soft as other Egyptian Cotton sheets I have.Read More
This is our 2nd time we've purchased 800+tc sheet sets from Overstock and have had bad luck. Our purchase last year included a flat sheet with a 3 inch torn in the corner. This time, we found a red thin visible line on the white pillow case. We don't understand why Overstock would sell defective products. As far as the descriptions given for the item, these sheets are NOT "incredibly" soft sheets. They are "average" and have a sateen finish. They have more of a "crispy" texture than soft, even after 2 washes with softener. The sheets are not thick nor "heavy" because we can clearly see our cream-colored mattress under the fitted sheet. They are thin but a tad bit heavier than 300tc sheet sets. The most disappointing thing about these high dollar sheets is that they come out of the dryer EXTREMELY wrinkled. Even after ironing them for 10+ minutes, plus steaming them, the crease marks are still visible and the wrinkles refuse to flatten out. It's not very appealing on our bed.Read More
This sheet set is thick, smooth, posesses a little sheen. After washing and drying no loss in density or shape. I ironed my sheets but it was not really nessecary. They are a treasure for any bedroom and linen closet. I will be ordering several more sets for our other bedrooms.Read More

Bed Sheet Thread Count Fact Sheet
The thread count of bed sheets refers to the number of threads per square inch of fabric. For example, if a square inch of fabric in a 300-thread count sheet with a standard weave were examined closely, 150 vertical threads and 150 horizontal threads would be counted, for a sum total of 300. The higher the thread count, the softer and smoother the sheets will be. Thread count is an important consideration to take when choosing a new set of sheets, but it should not be used as a sole indicator of quality. Equally important in choosing a bed sheet is the type and quality of the materials used as well as the fabric's weave.

Sateen sheets are soft to the touch and allow skin to slide smoothly into bed. Sateen sheets are available in very high thread counts, and as such, are quite durable.
