This was my first time buying sheets online. Reading all the reviews of different sheets, I thought that the unhappy reviewers must just be very picky people, since I have never had a problem with my sheets. When these sheets arrived I was thrilled, they were so soft thick and luscious, and the color so beautiful. I was happy at first, but they soon developed fine pills on the bottom sheet that became hard, so now they feel like sleeping on sandpaper. So disappointed (sigh)... into the garbage they go.
I bought these sheets in April 2012 and use them every other week. I haven't had any pilling at all and they are still soft to the touch. My husband just commented the other day that he really liked these sheets and its the first time in our 43 years of marriage that he has ever commented on our bedsheets. One never knows how the top sheet is going to fit your bed anymore. They are either short on the sides and long at the bottom or long on the sides and short on the bottom. These sheets tend to be longer on the sides and a little short on the bottom but you don't have to pull your top sheet down much to have enough fabric to tuck the bottom under. I bought the plum colored ones and the color is a deep plum and I really like it. I think you'd be happy if you bought these sheets.
As much time as is spent "between the sheets," their quality is obviously important. I've become knowledgable over the years as to with what they're made, thread count, and the like. The last set were purchased at a discount retail store. I searched online for these. Frankly, some comments from previous purchasaers were quite negative, but I decided to take a chance. I'm glad I did. These sheets are excellent in every way: smoothly luxurious, consistent color (light blue) and very good fit. I suspect that the negative buyers did not know just how to wash and care for their sheets, and couldnot/would not follow the washing/care instructions. Just wash in cold water, delicate cycle, promptly cool dry, and again promptly install on the bed. No "pills," no wrinkles, no problemo!
Great value for the money.I got the cal king and they are extra deep. Really silky and light. Nice feel to them.
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Perrfect, Ivory
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. Great for the money
- How accurate was the on site description of the product? Pretty accurate
The sheets feel comfortable and so far have washed well. BUT the ivory color that I purchased is nothing like the photo - instead of a creamy white it is the shade of yellowed newspaper. Very disappointing and I ended up using the sheet as a temporary slipcover for my sofa. A waste of money for me.
I didn't take the sheets out of the package, so I can't comment on their quality. The color is NOT light blue - not by any stretch. It is a muted aqua, which is pretty but it's not a true blue AT ALL if you're trying to match or coordinate other things. I'm very bummed.
Ordered Plum in Queen size. Color is great, but barely fits mattress after second washing. It's on all four corners, but it doesn't cover the sides of the mattress. Mattress is less than six months new - (14 - 15 inches in height). Wish I could return.
The color is rich deep wine color purple. I do like the sheets. My only complaint which is minor is the fitted sheet. I have a regular mattress, but these will also fit mattresses that are more plush and higher. Because of that the fitted sheet does not fit snuggly. They don't come off by any means, but there is some play in the fabric.
I purchased these sheets for my roommate's bed when I realized what he was sleeping on. After I finally got him to put them on his bed, he just never realized how great quality sheets could be! I chose these for him because they are single ply, great Egyptian cotton and the color was perfect... Exactly as described. They fit his cal king perfectly, the elastic goes all the way around, he moves around quite a bit when sleeping, but the fitted sheet stays nice and snug, no bunching.. and he is very happy with them. They wash well, not a lot lost in lint He couldn't believe how much softer they get with every wash. Another person hooked on luxury linens.
I first bought these sheets in 2012 and use they continuously for over 2 years. Washing them once a week. The were the best sheets I had ever had. So when it came time for new sheets of coarse I went right back to Overstock to get more, they looked like the same sheets. But after 2 washes they had pilled so bad it was hard to get a good nights sleep. Needless to say I won't be buying anymore of these. In all honesty It was only the bottom sheet that pilled. I wish I could get only a bottom sheet thet matched my old ones.
The 100% cotton sheets could only be laundered in COLD water and dried at LOW (if any heat) setting. The sheets are difficult to fold with out appearing to be rumpled. The product looked like it was poorly suited for its purpose. The sheets looked "slept-in" after putting them back on the bed. If one is to sell 100%, high-count bed sheets, then consumer is expecting freshly laundered sheets to look better than rumpled sheets. I would caution all to avoid Indian cotton sheets. They presumably are not manufactured using a textile process that results in a finish product that will look like a finished sheet after its first laundering..
