My husband and I have been trying to sleep comfortably on a foam bed (too hard) for the past couple of years. I even added a foam "egg crate" pad, but that made sleeping too hot. When we read that another reviewer has the same kind of bed and was pleased with the difference this pad made, we decided to purchase one. When we took it out of the bag, we didn't think it would be thick enough. To our surprise, it has made a world of difference! Our bed is finally comfortable to sleep on, and the nice cotton fabric makes sleeping cooler than it was before. It stays put, too. I think we made the right choice.

Bought two of these, one king and one queen, based on favorable star ratings and comments. Though the top of the mattress pad appears to be comfortable and of good quality, the sides are made of very thin, paper-like material with elastics running thru them. When putting the queen on mattress, one of the elastic corners ripped right away. Called customer service and was emailed return shipping labels promptly for both pads for full refunds. I use Overstock.com regularly for many reasons; the products reviews are helpful (tho not in this case), prices are reasonabale and sometimes great deals are found, shipping is fast and convenient, and customer service has been great. I have had defective products in the past but have never had any trouble returning them.

Because of its placement on Overstocks web page and the verbiage used to describe the product I was under the opinion I was ordering a heated mattress pad. I was disappointed when I first opened the awaited delivery. But rather than go through the problem of returning it I put it on my aging pillow top mattress. I was quite frankly very surprised at the difference it made in my comfort. And now find myself happy with the error.

The picture and description suggests it's thicker and does provide back support. It is just slightly better quality than the cheapest one's you purchase to to cover the mattress. I did not find any upgrade in terms of comfort or adding a plush thick layer.

The surface of the mattress cover area is only 58 inches wide and 78 inches long. Because of this, the fit is not good and I see the sides of cover for one inch around my regular queen mattress (not oversized). Because I like to make a neat bed, this did not sit well with me. Did not return as the package was opend and discarded the bag. The comfort seems fine if I sleep in the middle of the mattress. The manufacturer should know that quilting will shrink the size and cut the fabric so it will turn out to be the size of the mattress. A disappointing purchase.

The elastic is already giving way. The sides are made of that cheap, paper-like material which slides right off any kind of sateen-like mattress. What a crock the other reviews are! This is a CHEAP pad with a super over-inflated price. I will never read and believe another review on here. I want it clearly stated that it is a PAPER sided mattress pad. I don't know about some of you but I buy a lot of things based on reviews......I will be paying more attention and calling before I make any other orders on Overstock because most of the reviews are off-target!

This is a great mattress pad for the price. I did shop around first. The pad has made a nice difference in comfort on our bed, but probably because our old mattress pad had gotten quite flat. The Cal-King size fit our thicker Cal-King mattress without struggle, as there was no noticeable shrinkage after the first washing. However, I always wash cotton bed linens in cold water ONLY (with a few drops of bleach for sanitation purposes). I'm not sure how much shrinkage would have occurred with a warm-water washing instead. The only thing I found a bit dissatisfying was the fabric used for the sides of the mattress pad. It's that cheapy paper-like filament fiber stuff. The kind you can easily put a thumb through if you're not careful. Why can't they just use the same cotton fabric, for the sides, that they use on the top? Other then that, it's been a great mattress pad for the price I paid.

Recently began a bed "make over" upgraded everything associated with my bed. The mattress pad was the final phrase, and I made a wonderful choice. Everything was purchase from overstock and the mattress pad was such an important part, I saved it for last. My simmons mattress pad was exactly what it promised and I will buy another for my daughter who is a freshman in college, she too needs some comfort away from home..simmons is the way to go.

Very comfortable; fits mattress extremely well. The extra padding in the low back area is very supportive, especially for someone who experiences low back pain (I do). The extra stitching and contours of the mattress pad add extra strength and durability to this product. We are very impressed with the quality of this product and, in our opinion, is an excellent purchase for a very reasonable price.

I bought this as a cover I had a stain on my mattress & I want to cover it but it turned out to be pretty cumfy as well! The side material isn't that great of quality but it works for what I need it for great price & can't beat $1 shipping

I bought this before the 4/11 review was posted and read it the day before this item was delivered. I was a bit apprehensive about the purchase at that point, and inspected it thoroughly when it came in. Nope - it doesn't look exactly like the picture. The zones are not demarcated by different stitching, but there are very clearly different levels of fill in each zone and there are 5. I can't say that there's much need for fill under the pillow area of your bed, so I wouldn't expect that area to be as plush as the mid/lower back area of the pad - which is quite plush. The top is 500 tc but the back and sides are made from that odd-fiber fabric. I've had it rip with other pads, but this seems like it's a bit sturdier. I washed it before putting it on the bed, so there was no odd odor as referenced in other posts. It went into a regular large capacity home washing machine, and then into the dryer. It took 2 cycles on delicate to dry. I've slept on it for a few nights now and can honestly say it's the nicest mattress pad I've ever used. I've awakened well before the alarm for several days in a row, feeling rested, which hasn't happened in quite some time. Even my ankles are well supported with this pad. My back doesn't hurt too much anymore either. We need a new mattress, but this has bought us some time.

Neither the item pictured online nor the item pictured with the mattress pad depict the actual pad shipped. I am quite disappointed. The pad I got is symmetrical, there is no difference between the top and bottom sections, unlike pictured. The "patented expand-a-grip" is more like paper than fabric--I pierced it with a (short) fingernail while placing it on the bed. Based on other reviews, I did not expect anything plush, but there is definitely no difference between the barely-there padding in the "central zone" and any other part of the pad. The item itself is comparable to lower-priced items at local stores rather than the above-average quality I have come to expect from Overstock.
