This really reminds me of an old west blanket. With a lambs skin or some animal on one side and a rough fur on the other. I was looking for a soft cuddly sherpa but this blanket was not it!!! I think I remember someone in a review stating something simular but I didn't pay attention enough and wish I would have. Don't get me wrong!!! This is a wonderful product... just not what I was looking for. On the plus side it is nice and heavy and wonderful lap blanket for winter!! That is why I have given it a GOOD rating...

I bought this to cover the back and top of my new black leather sofa, as my kitties like to jump up there and I didn't want the leather getting scratched. It is a beautiful product and well-made. I have not tired to wash it yet; I have only vacuumed it (kitty fur!), and it looks like new when I do that. It is a very heavy throw, so I wouldn't personally use it for myself as I watch TV, for example. I like something more "drape-y" and this throw, because of its quality, is too stiff and heavy to use for that purpose. All in all, I am very happy with my purchase and would definitely buy another one.

it's a good size throw but not as soft as it's described. I've purchased a sherpa throw before and this one doesn't nearly come close to softness

I got this for my father as a Christmas gift. He was reluctant to give up his old plaid wool throw but finally tried this one out and called especially to tell me how much he loved it. He's worried about whether to dry clean or machine wash but I noticed a review above that said they had machine washed theirs and it came out perfectly. If anyone else has washed theirs and if it turned out okay please reply. I'm thinking about buying one for myself now!

This is a GREAT throw! Large enough to curl up with on a cool (or COLD) evening, and stay nice and warm. It is very soft, (on both sides), and since I am all in to comfort, that is wonderful for me!!! If you have pets or small children, don't worry. This states that it is dry clean only, but I washed it and dried it, and it came out PERFECT! We have had a similar throw for many years and everyone was always fighting over it. Hopefully this one will become another favorite, and will last for many years as well!!! Thanks for another GREAT item Overstock!!!

Bought this for my ski condo up in the mountains....love it! Looks great, and is soft and warm. Wanted something to throw over a recliner but it's actually too nice for that. It will be wrapped around me all winter! Thanks Overstock.

I purchased this for our northwoods vaca home. Saw a similar item in a high-end retailer's catalog for much, much more. This throw is beautiful and appears to be similar to what the high-end retailer offered. It is cozy and suprisingly lightweight. Workmanship is excellent. It looks great draped over the sofa when not in use. My husband liked it so much he claimed it for his very own. I ordered the Mocha throw, which looks brown to me but the sherpa side is creme. Very nice!
