It's amazing how quickly this foam "decompresses" when you unwrap it. My kids watched it like a magic show. Then they played and jumped on it until my 5-year old came down an said there was a piece broken off. He claimed he was jumping and one of the "bumps" broke off, and solemnly said, "I would never bite it. I would never do something like that!" However, when I picked up the broken-off bump, it was wet, and I asked him why is it all spitty? He said he had drooled on it, I told him it's better to get in trouble for doing something wrong than to lie about it, and he said, "When something is so soft and mushy, I JUST HAVE TO BITE IT! I'm sorry Mommy, I bit it." Luckily there are a million other "bumps" on it, and it's like sleeping in a cloud. It smelled a bit like wet paint for a few hours, but that goes away. Great value, superb quality, another fabulous find at Overstock.com.

I have been looking for a bed foam topper for some time. I ran across this online and could not believe the price and what you were getting. I was leary about the purchase but figured heard good stuff about overstock.com and the purchasee was a Serta and that's a name that you can trust. I recieved it, let it rolled it out, no smell, put in on the bed, fits great, and cannot tell you how wonderfully I slept. I just bought a new mattress and I liked it in the showroom, but now love it. I have not slept this good in a long time. I'm a side sleeper so this eliminated the pain I was experiencing in my shoulders and hips. I simply love, it feels soft, yet supportive. I feel like I have found something good and it was very,very reasonably priced. The icing on the cake, it only cost me a dollar to ship. Buy one for yourself, you deserve the sleep! Thank you overstocks!

I am disappointed in this product as the queen size I ordered will not cover a queen size mattress. The measurements are not the same. The return shipping is over $20.00 so I will end up keeping it.

I've had this topper for two days now and so far the only thing I am unhappy about that is has a very strong smell to it. I guess it's the material. I used it the first night and the smell was unbearable. I am going to air it out for a few days, hoping it will die down. Very comfortable though!

I bought this Serta 3" topper about 9 months ago and can't say enough good things about it! It arrived in 3 days and I did as suggested and let it rest opened for about 5 hrs. before making up the bed. The smell was totally gone by then. It was about 1" short of each edge of the queen mattress but that didn't matter to us all. I put a flat sheet between the topper and mattress, which was also new, in case the foam should discolor or crumble, but there has been no sign of that so far. I also put a fitted mattress cover over the topper. My only comment about that would be that the mattress still looks lumpy from the egg crate design even with the mattress cover, fitted sheet and top sheet. That's a small price to pay for the heavenly support of my achey back and shoulders without the foam getting too hot. My comforter disguises that lumpy look anyway.So here I am back to buy another one of these for our guest bed for Thanksgiving, and darn if it's out of stock! I'm not surprised since the price was even lower. I settled for another and hope it will work as well.

I love, love, love my Serta topper. It's money well spent. I've had it for a few weeks and so far it's the best night sleep I've had in months.

My boyfriend had started to complain that my 3-year-old mattress (which is a very nice pillow top) was "uncomfortable" and that he was having trouble sleeping. So, I suggested that we get a mattress topper. I couldn't believe the huge discount and after reading all the reviews, I went ahead and purchased it. Since this was my first purchase from Overstock, I had no idea what to expect. The topper arrived in a week! After letting it air out for a day, we put it on the bed and have been sleeping sooo much better ever since! it is such a difference. I used to wake up 2 or 3 times a night but not anymore. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to make their mattress bigger and better :)The only negative that I can think of is how soft it really is. Be very careful when opening it and rolling it out. It is so soft that it can rip very easily if you are not careful. My boyfriend ripped a little piece of the corner off doing that! Nothing major though. And if you are going to move the topper once it has been rolled out, even carrying it wrong could possibly damage it.

This product saved my back and gave me a great night's sleep for the first time in ages. It takes about 24 hours to relax and obtain it's full shape--no odor at all. I highly reccomend this.

This was a wedding gift and the couple raved about the comfort and quality of the mattress pad. They said it made it hard to get out of bed in the morning!

Bought for my brother who has a very old mattress and could not afford a new one. He raved so much so I bought one for myself. I have a very good expensive mattress and thought it may not be so dramatic a change for me. But yes it was and I love love love this topper.

At my sister-in-law's recommendation (she has one), I purchased this and the alternative down cover. It's made such a difference--I can't believe it. No more stiff joints when I get up in the morning. I would hightly recommend it to anyone who suffers from morning stiffness.

Read reviews before puchashing a queen & full size toppers. I also followed directions from other reviews IE; let topper unfod itself & put eggshell towards mattress, easier to get out of bed. Love the toppers, sleep much better, I don't wake up with aches or pains. Discovered new problem, need new bed.

About 2 years ago, I purchased the Serta 1.5 inch memory foam that also came with 2 pillows that was only 69.99. I was MORE than THRILLED with this topper. It was like sleeping on a marshmallow and my husband and I got very restful slumbers. I figured that I would upgrade to a 3-inch from the same company even though the design varied a little. However, now that I compare the two I see a big difference as to why this one is lacking in support and comfort. The 1.5 inch is made with High density 3-lb solid Visco Elastic memory foam. While this one is crafted of 100-percent polyurethane foam and it tears VERY easy. If you want to feel like you are on a marshmallow feeling both cradled and supported, go with Visco Elastic Memory Foam, the description usually references "NASA" as well. I'd love to return it for the original one I bought but I cannot imagine how the heck to repackage it the same way it came and whether or not I still can return it?? I'll look that up next....

Our new guest bed mattress was just too firm. This Serta Memory Foam matress topper was the perfect solution. It took about a week of "airing" for the chemical odor to dissipate. Now, no trace of it whatsoever. It fit the bed perfectly, and the comfort level is up 100%! My husband and I are delighted with the product, the economy of price, and the prompt delivery. We recommend it highly.

The odor that everyone warns about is definitely true, but it went away after 2 days of airing out over a chair. It made a huge difference in the comfort of our bed. I am a physical therapist and before I got the mattriess pad, I often had back pain in the morning and my hips would feel numb when I layed on my side. Not anymore! Great purchase. The only thing that would make Overstock better is if they shipped to PO boxes.

Toppers are great. I have (2) at home and these (2) were purchased and drop shipped to my fishing retreat in Northern Minnesota. My friends there think it is so great that all of the packages are arriving ahead of my trip. Most from Overstock...and they will be left so that all I need is to catch a plane and think of fishing. You may ask what this has to do with the memory foam toppers and Overstock. Well I enjoy a certain level of comfort at home due in large part to Overstock and I certainly want nothing but fishing, friends and God's beautiful creation to be on my mind while on retreat. Face it...none of us have the opportunity to get away as often as we would like or need. I trust Overstock to assist in making things as seamless as possible.

I've had a memory foam topper for the past 6 years before that I had a standard foam egg crate topper. This product is a nice balance between the two. My complaints with the solid topper is that it held in heat and your sunk into it. My complaint with a standard egg crate is that it wasn't firm enough and didn't provide support. This egg crate memory foam topper doesn't hold in heat and it is soft but firm enough that you don't sink in to it. If you are looking for a little added cushion that isn't squishy this is the product.

This was sweet. My wife and I took an old mattress that we were going to have to throw away and saved it with this topper. It is awesome. My wife keeps telling me thanks you and that now she gets a good nights sleep and doesn't toss and turn so much. I know it is true. She used to get up twice a night to drink warm milk before being able to get back to sleep. Now she sleeps the whole night through. I have a bad knee and back and it has made those conditions far less noticeable in my sleep. Overstock did a great job getting it to me quickly. When you get it , open it up , then let the roll unroll by itself. If you try to force it you will risk ripping chunks out of your topper. Once the roll unrolls fully , gently lift the two sides and lay flat.. Then just wait for a day , and put it on your bed. If you don't like the points , just reverse it to the smooth side. ENJOY!!!!!!!!

I bought this mattress topper to trim down and add as a topper to my arthritic dogs bed. I can't believe how rich and dense the material is. So soft so giving - and so slow to recover - just the way memory foam is meant to be. my dog will be in heaven when she makes it back home and plops down on her new topper. I took the remaining piece of foam and stuffed it in my pillow - for a little sleep comfort of my own. Yes - it's just that soft and comfortable. I ordered a thicker topper after this one - but it was a hiloft one from Overstock and I was sorely disappointed. : (((((( I should have stuck with this Serta Supreme. The Serta Supreme topper is just awesome.

After getting one for my husband and me, my sons wanted one, too. So I got a California King and cut it in half for the two twin beds. I also took someone's advice and got another one and cut it up into pillows. We all like different configurations. Hubby and I like just one layer in a separate pillowcase on top of our regular pillows. My one son has his layer inside the pillowcover with his pillow. And my other son likes two layers of the foam in a pillowcover. It was so economical and the memory foam is wonderful both as a topper and pillows. I also was able to cut out two "travel" foams that are just big enough to put under us in a motel and roll up to carry.
