Good fix!
Pardon the screen name. I don't know how to change it. I didn't realize it was to be displayed publicly. Anyway, I hope Overstock will go ahead and post this anyway. I think it will be helpful. After much research, I crossed my fingers and ordered this thing with the hope it would cure my ills,and fix my overly firm mattress. Memory foam does not provide the solid resistance to cushion pressure points like the latex. Some people think the memory foam feels better initially, but it won't do as well, inch for inch as latex. I placed this topper on a very firm mattress that sits on slats with no box spring. It is a very comfortable combination, not too soft, and not too firm, just right. If you like a very cushy mattress it might not be for you but if you like a somewhat soft yet firm feel I would highly recommend this topper. It has the feel of a very expensive mattress. Not Worth It
I already have a latex mattress and another latex mattress topper -- a 3 incher. So, I am familiar with latex. Good latex is relatively resistant to taking body impressions. It gives under pressure and bounces back into shape when the pressure is off. That's one of the reasons I like it. My 3 inch topper has been slept on almost every night for 6 years and still does not show body impressions. Unfortunately, my husband and I slept on the E.C.O. 2-inch Luxury Latex King Mattress Topper for three nights and there were "valleys" where we slept and a noticeable "hill" in the middle of the bed. My husband and I are not large people -- probably a bit smaller than average. So this was both surprising and disappointing. I bought this topper because the other reviews were uniformly great. Now I wonder whether I got a defective topper or whether the other reviewers just didn't know what to expect from quality latex.

E.c.o. Luxury latex mattress topper
Love topper. Very comfortable. You don't sink in like in memory foam but it is really soft and comfy. Very slight odor but it went away quickly. I have had memory foam toppers that never lose the odor. I put this topper under a fitted mattress pad and it stays in place wonderfully. Highly recommend.

ECO 2" Latex topper
Fabulous, wonderful, and I didn't experience any weird smells. It is so comfortable, I have a foam mattress under it from Overstock as well that is firmer and not as thick as advertised but this topper more than makes up for it. Yes it could rip, be careful, it is hot so I plan to put a really thick mattress cover on it, but the comfort! No more inner spring mattress for me ever! I have had it for months and it looks and feels brand new. Excellent quality.

Sleeping Better
I have scoliosis and alternate between side and back sleeping. I usually wake up 1-2 times per night and have a stiff lower back in the morning in addition to tight upper back muscles where my scoliosis is. I did some research and scoliosis treatment experts recommend a latex mattress topper and/or latex pillows. This made a tremendous difference and improvement immediately. I fell asleep quickly, did not wake up in the middle of the night and now wake up without the lower back stiffness and excessive upper back tightness. The latex mattress topper was a quick fix and more economical than going out and purchasing a new mattress. I also purchased a deeper mattress pad cover that was deep enough to cover the latex mattress topper and my pillow top mattress. The latex mattress pad topper is not hot; I do not have night sweats or get hot from it (the mattress pad cover that comes with the latex cover plus the quilted mattress pad cover keeps the heat away). The latex mattress pad topper did not smell; I opened the package and took it out and let it sit for about an hour and then placed it on the bed immediately. There was no odor whatsoever. The product appeared exactly like it looked in the photo and the quality so far is excellent. I have no complaints. Overstock has excellent pricing and the free shipping even made things better (since this is quite heavy). I highly recommend. I am now looking into getting some latex pillows since the latex mattress topper was such an improvement and success.

latex topper
We bought a new mattress to replace our 15 year old one. Due to an aching back, especially at night, we purchased a firm mattress. It did indeed solve my back ache, but my joints, especially my shoulders started aching on the firmer bed (I am a side/stomach sleeper usually). The latex topper has made a huge difference. While it is still firmer than our old bed, I am sleeping much better with the addition of the topper. My shoulder still aches a bit, but not nearly as badly. my back is still happy too. I chose latex because of the reviews saying that it would not compress over time. Having just invested in a new mattress, I wanted a topper that would last as well. We almost need a step stool to get into bed, with such a thick mattress and now another 2 inches with the topper! And our deep pocket sheets just barely fit with it. Sometimes a corner slips off. I did not find the odor to be a problem. yes, it had an odor...I aired it out for a day before using it, and now, with a mattress pad and sheets on it, I cannot smell it at all unless I put my nose right on top of it when the sheets and pad are off of it. It is heavy and difficult to put on...you need two people for a king size at least. It has a good cover, and once placed, it seems to stay put.

Bought two of these a few months apart. This 2 inch latex pad is covered. Latex appears to be good quality. Are relatively heavy vs other type of foam pads. The covers differed on the two products. Both covers were okay and had straps on corners to secure to mattress. Covers help when moving pads around because latex tends to be somewhat fragile. Have a very firm mattress and wanted some additional cushioning. Chose latex because of its spring-back properties and generally not holding heat vs regular foam which tends to eventally hold body compressions and memory foam which is too hot for me and don't like the sleeping in a hole effect. The two inches with this latex pad wasn't enough comfort for me as a side sleeper experiencing some hip pain. Might be okay for person who sleeps in a different position or who is very light in weight. Much more comfort with two of these pads (4") for me.

Saved my back
We bough a new mattress that was way too firm. For months I suffered thinking I just needed to break in the mattress. But no luck. Every morning when I got out of bed, I felt like a truck had hit me. This pad is just right. The cushioning supports my side-slipping, it bounces back to shape easily and is not hot. I love that it has a cover even though I placed a mattress pad on top. There is a light smell but it's not offensive and I think it will dissipate in time. So go for it! And thanks to all the great reviews posted which helped me decide on ordering this particular type of pad.

Great top
I bought a mattress which was way too firm/hard and needed something to soften it, but not make it mushy. This was the perfect answer. No odor, easy to unroll and put on the bed. Wish it were the exact size of the mattress since it tends to move down from the top making the pillow sag down to the mattress. But, no real complaints, good service and good product for a great price.

Good for the back
I have a very BAD BACK. I suffer from sciatica. I got a sleep number bed. which greatly improved my sleeping. however, it was missing something. so I got this, WOW what a diff. I love it! doesn't smell!. but you'll need extra deep sheets
