I replaced a "dry clean only" comforter and opted to buy a quilt with intention to use it for sleeping, warmth, and for ease of laundering. This quilt is machine washable. It is warm enough with a microfiber blanket also. I still take it to the huge washers at the laundromat, and it tumbles dry very well in my home dryer. I have a queen bed and it doesn't go to the floor as shown in the picture but that one may be on a full size bed. It still looks nice on my bed though. The colors are true to what the picture shows (on my computer anyway)Read More
We are in love with our new bedspread. It's not exactly a quilt- it's only been stitched to look like one. But it's exactly what I wanted. Very durable and lightweight for warmer months. We have a queen bed and bought the F/Q size. It doesn't reach the floor, but it covers the box springs. I wanted something for our master bedroom that was neither too feminine, nor too masculine. This one is perfect. The muted shades of green/grey/cream balance beautifully with the soft floral pattern. I have never been happier with a bedding set. (note: our bedroom walls are grey, but this quilt will go with so many other colors.)Read More
I bought one of these a year ago for my son's rental home. It is so beautiful and of such good quality (after several washings) I bought one for me and 2 more for some bunk beds. I love the pattern and colors and scalloped edges. It feels like a handmade quilt.Read More
It looks every better than the picture on site - the quality is the best, I couldn't have picked out a better one in any store, I am very pleased with this purchase as I am with all I have ordered from Overstock in the past month - never a disappointment with Overstock - ease in ordering good details and fast shipping - Thank you OverstockRead More
Very nice quality, soft colors, mostly shades of sage and moss greens with touches of beige, brown, terra cotta and blue. Reverse side is a beige and tan tweedy color. I haven't washed it yet so can't comment but is well made and I think it will hold up nicely.Read More
Although the colors appeared mauve and blue, they were not at all. More like orange/rust, greenish and VERY MUTED. Unfortunately I ordered two so I could make valances out of the second so I'm now stuck with about $** in return shipping fees. Guess that's my penance for living VERY rural.Read More
This set arrived on time and well packaged. It fits nicely on my latest guest bed for the holidays.Read More
Quilt set is very well made. Did not skimp on material. Covers the side of our queen size bed just perfect. Would definitely recommend this quilt set. Priced resonable.Read More
This quilt is exactly what I was looking for! I wanted one that was larger than normal to cover the sides of my king side bed. This quilt covers my Temperpedic mattress and box spring like a bedspread. It did not shrink when I washed it and the quality and weight of the fabric is excellent! Great buy!Read More

Hello rguntner, this quilt does not have grey in it. It does feature a tan color that looks similar to grey. Thank you for shopping with us!
No, it looks that way in the photo but it's a soft olive green with beige and cream. This quilt is lovely. I wash it every month because the dog loves it, too. It hasn't faded and looks as great as the day I purchased it.

It is perfect for summer. and light enough so that it is easy to make the bed. I have another one that is so heavy I have a hard time making the bed.
It's appropriate for year round use but I would add a blanket under it in the Winter.

Yes, in the flowers but very minimal. It has much more sage or moss green which is the predominate color and touches of terra cotta

How to Display a Quilt
Quilts are more than just bedding: They're also gorgeous pieces of art that can be used to decorate your home. A quilt makes a space seem warm and homey, and it's not hard to learn how to display quilts. By following these steps, you'll be showing off your quilts in no time.
Popular Types of Quilts
Out of all the bedding made, quilts may be the most diverse. Quilts are produced in all kinds of colors, patterns, sizes, styles and types. If you're looking for a quilt but don't know where to start, take a look at the popular types of quilts below to learn more about this beautiful kind of bedding. Amish quilts: These beautiful quilts reflect the Amish way of living and feature solid colors, deep hues, geometric patterns and very little embellishment. Amish quilts contain the highest quality of construction and stitching, and, sometimes, the wonderful stitch patterns (scrolls, feathers) contrast with the simple backgrounds of their quilts. Applique quilts: These quilts use a French needlework technique where fabric pieces are sewn onto another piece of material to create a design. Applique is used extensively in the quilting process and is not to be confused with patchwork. Patchwork pieces are joined together; applique is sewn on top of the whole piece. Baltimore album quilts: Baltimore album quilts came from Maryland in the early 1800s. Each block in the design of these quilts is appliqued differently, often in ornate floral patterns. Bangladeshi quilts: These quilts are made with layers of Saree cloth. Saree cloth is silk cloth used by women of India to wrap and fold around the body as a garment. The cloth is usually 40 to 60 inches wide by 6 yards long. These quilts are used as bedding or as decorative pieces. Bargello quilts: Bargello quilts are created with offset squares in an up-and-down geometric "V" pattern. The small squares of different fabrics and the colorful designs make these quilts true works of art. Hawaiian quilts: Hawaiian quilts are not pieced, and they usually showcase a large, symmetrical applique in the center of the quilt. Most often the background is white or another solid color. Patchwork quilts: Patchwork quilts are constructed of many small pieces of fabric which are put together in an improvised or irregular pattern. This is a well-known quilt style, and examples of historical patchwork quilts are found in many museums. Ralli quilts: Ralli quilts, sometimes known as rilli quilts, are traditional quilts made in India or Pakistan. There is an abundance of embroidery as well as applique on the patchwork patterns. Star quilts: Star quilts are created with a large star shape, or several star shapes, dominating the pattern. Wedding ring quilts: Wedding ring quilts are crafted in a design of interlocking rings. This pattern goes far back in history: in the fourth century it was used to decorate drinking cups in Rome. Wedding ring quilts are highly popular and make wonderful wedding gifts. If you're looking for a gift to please an engaged couple, you can't go wrong with a wedding quilt. Bedding always makes a significant gift for the bride and groom, and a quilt with coordinating Egyptian cotton sheets can be even better. View All Quilts Back to Guides Directory View All Quilts
