I had been eyeing this quilt for some time on O, so when I came across it on a flash-sale site for substantially less I snapped it up. Now I wish I had gotten several at that price to give as gifts, but it's still worth the Overstock price. Since there weren't many reviews of the throw I had been reading the reviews of the quilt set, and so I'd like to address some of the issues that other reviewers mentioned. I will agree with others that this is very well made, and that once washed and dried it's quite soft and cozy. Some other reviewers expressed disappointment in the variation of blues, and I was a little worried before I received mine, but I find that there is plenty of variation to make this visually interesting. The shades range from a dark indigo (like your darkest dark jeans) to a slightly faded indigo, to a grayish chambray, to a cornflower chambray, to white. There is no actual gray, and no ivory at all as the stock description states. There are six different patterns in all, and the reverse side is all the missoni zigzag pattern. On the patchwork side I don't feel that any one pattern dominates, but on close inspection and counting the pattern repetition I will admit that the floral pattern is the most repetitious. Someone stated that they were hoping for an exotic feel to the quilt and felt that it gives off the impression of "country" instead. For me I would say that a more accurate description of the overall feel would be "Americana." The whole thing has a worn-in faded favorite blue-jeans kind of feel. The colors give the impression that it has been washed and hung out to dry on a clothesline in the summer sunshine 20 times. I absolutely love it!
