I am very disappointed with this quilt. It is not as pictured and the shams are NOT available ANYWHERE. Impossible to match this with anything.Read More
Wasn't exactly thrilled with the way it really looks...is smaller than it looks also...shams did not come with it and can't find a way to order them.Read More
It is in my Guest room and have gotten several compliments on it.Read More
Got this quilt and shams in King. They arrived within 4 days. Very high quality. Fits perfectly on my king bed, has plenty of drop on both sides. The colors are exactly as they appear in the photos. I used a white bedskirt and my accent colors are ocean blue and muted lime green. I wish you could see how beautiful the room/bed looks.Read More
I loved this set. There was only one problem. The queen size quilt is a full/queen and really was not long enough on the sides. It did not come nearly as far down as the picture shows. A regular Queen would have been much better. A king would have been too large. Just needed to be more generous with size. I was doing the room in the "shabby chic" style and it was just perfect in style. JP12Read More
The brown fabric is like a cheese cloth and feels like it will quickly wear out. Without lots of pillows and accents it is a very plain look quilt.Read More
I received my order of Roslyn Quilt and 2 standard Shams. They look beautiful, they are made mostly of cotton (with the tan being linnen / cotton). I saw them in a local department store labeled Sanibel quilt. They were very expensive but as usual Overstock had them at a great price. I have not had to wash them yet, but with the cotton / linen natural materials it should go well. The white is a satin-y shiny cotton. I put it in a contemporary coastal design (I do decorating and staging) and it looks fantastic.Read More
nice design, feels wonderful. I will have to exchange the full/queen for a king size, however since my pattres is so thick and the full/queen does ot fully cover mattress.Read More
I was looking for shabby chic bedding that had a unique look to it. I thought that this quilt was perfect, but it turns out that it looks a lot plainer than I expected. The white center dominates the quilt and the tan was hardly noticable. In the picture it makes it seem that entire side is of the bedding is tan, but the white extended over the sides of my Cal King bed. If the pillow shams were available it may have worked, but it is just too plain without them.Read More

How to Display a Quilt
Quilts are more than just bedding: They're also gorgeous pieces of art that can be used to decorate your home. A quilt makes a space seem warm and homey, and it's not hard to learn how to display quilts. By following these steps, you'll be showing off your quilts in no time.
Popular Types of Quilts
Out of all the bedding made, quilts may be the most diverse. Quilts are produced in all kinds of colors, patterns, sizes, styles and types. If you're looking for a quilt but don't know where to start, take a look at the popular types of quilts below to learn more about this beautiful kind of bedding. Amish quilts: These beautiful quilts reflect the Amish way of living and feature solid colors, deep hues, geometric patterns and very little embellishment. Amish quilts contain the highest quality of construction and stitching, and, sometimes, the wonderful stitch patterns (scrolls, feathers) contrast with the simple backgrounds of their quilts. Applique quilts: These quilts use a French needlework technique where fabric pieces are sewn onto another piece of material to create a design. Applique is used extensively in the quilting process and is not to be confused with patchwork. Patchwork pieces are joined together; applique is sewn on top of the whole piece. Baltimore album quilts: Baltimore album quilts came from Maryland in the early 1800s. Each block in the design of these quilts is appliqued differently, often in ornate floral patterns. Bangladeshi quilts: These quilts are made with layers of Saree cloth. Saree cloth is silk cloth used by women of India to wrap and fold around the body as a garment. The cloth is usually 40 to 60 inches wide by 6 yards long. These quilts are used as bedding or as decorative pieces. Bargello quilts: Bargello quilts are created with offset squares in an up-and-down geometric "V" pattern. The small squares of different fabrics and the colorful designs make these quilts true works of art. Hawaiian quilts: Hawaiian quilts are not pieced, and they usually showcase a large, symmetrical applique in the center of the quilt. Most often the background is white or another solid color. Patchwork quilts: Patchwork quilts are constructed of many small pieces of fabric which are put together in an improvised or irregular pattern. This is a well-known quilt style, and examples of historical patchwork quilts are found in many museums. Ralli quilts: Ralli quilts, sometimes known as rilli quilts, are traditional quilts made in India or Pakistan. There is an abundance of embroidery as well as applique on the patchwork patterns. Star quilts: Star quilts are created with a large star shape, or several star shapes, dominating the pattern. Wedding ring quilts: Wedding ring quilts are crafted in a design of interlocking rings. This pattern goes far back in history: in the fourth century it was used to decorate drinking cups in Rome. Wedding ring quilts are highly popular and make wonderful wedding gifts. If you're looking for a gift to please an engaged couple, you can't go wrong with a wedding quilt. Bedding always makes a significant gift for the bride and groom, and a quilt with coordinating Egyptian cotton sheets can be even better. View All Quilts Back to Guides Directory View All Quilts
