Rest-A-Sure Mattress Protector

I ordered the Rest-A-Sure Mattress Protector after I bought a new mattress and purchased the protector they recommended. It was nice but pricey and I decided to check Overstock.Com to find something similar to go on the other three beds in the house. This mattress protector seems to be identical in features and quality at almost a quarter of the price that I paid for the orginal. I'm very pleased with the protector, we have puppies in the house and one of them christened it almost right away. I was very pleased to note that the mattress itself stayed completely dry and the protector came out of the washer and dryer looking brand new. It has extremely deep pockets and fits easily over the thickest mattresses so that it holds securely in place. I would definitely recommend this mattress protector since I've been able to compare it to a more expensive brand and just can't see why you would pay the extra cost for the same benefits.

My husband and I do not have babies and I am not pregnant, so I wasn't looking for those thick plastic water proof mattress covers. All I wanted was something thin and breathable that is comfortable to sleep on but provides a little bit of water-proofing for my husband who has a tendency to sweat a lot in his sleep. I didn't want to have to worry about our mattress getting gross and stained with sweat, but I didn't want him to be even hotter by the non-breathable kind of protectors. This one served just the purpose! When it arrived I was a bit skeptical. But when I put it over our mattress, and topped it with our usual sheets, I was happy that I didn't feel hot, and it wasn't making any uncomfortable plasticy sounds when we move on the bed. My mind is at ease to feel that the next time he ends up sweating in his sleep, I can just snatch all the bedding along with this mattress protector and wash them all! Now that issue is out of the picture, I am off to hunting for moisture-wicking sheets : )

This is a very nice mattress protector for the price. I chose this over other that are twice the price and I must say that I am completely satisfied.

I take care of a mid-90 year old couple and she experiences some incontinence problems. Her family and I have tried to talk her husband into letting us get adult diapers for her but he has fought this tooth and nail. She was recently hospitalized for pneumonia and after returning home, she wet the bed 4 times in the first 24 hour period. I ordered this mattress pad the very next day and picked up a pack of diapers that day as well. They have a 4 inch foam mattress (also purchased through overstock-another great product) and getting the urine out of it, not to mention the endless washing I had to do, precipitated those purchases. The mattress pad is great with very deep pockets which went right over the mattress and the foam pad with ease. As far as the protection aspect of this product, we may never know because once we put her in the diapers, her husband decided they WERE a great idea after all. It is great to know though we have the protection if needed. Who knows he is 95 and may face the same incontinence problems as well someday. And I'll be prepared!
