Negative Thread Count
from Fillmore, CA,  Aug 16, 2008

I got these towels for a few reasons, 'greenness', color, softness, durability....well, unfortunately they aren't so durable. My bad, I suppose, that I didn't read the washing instructions, they are towels after all. They are supposed to be washed on GENTLE, not in the Towel cycle on my machine! I bought 6 sets and all of the bath towels came out of the dryer frayed in at least one place. Just getting them out of the package, I snagged a couple with my ring. They are pretty loosely woven which is disappointing. My grandson took his bath and his washcloth was left in the tub for about an hour. When I went to wring it out, the color of the washcloth spewed all over the place. They are super absorbent though. I wring my wet washcloth out, pat it on my hair and it collects a ton of water. Wring it a few more times, pat again and my hair is not dripping when I get out of the shower. I like that. They are soft and getting softer. I think I'll try the cotton/bamboo mixture next time.

Thirsty Towel
from Los Angeles, CA,  Jun 5, 2008

I bought the towel mostly because it has the super vibrant yellow I can't find elsewhere. This bamboo towel is so much more absorbent than my egyptian cotton towel and drys extremely fast. It's now hard to to go back to cotton. I am addicted to bamboo towel!

NJTweety
from Savannah, GA,  Jan 13, 2009

Beware -- this set is one bath towel, one hand towel and one washcloth. "Three sumptuously soft bath linens" implies three bath towels, and the picture is misleading. These are nice, and absorbent, but not very fluffy. Not a great value for the money.

Beautiful Towels
from Hoboken, NJ,  Sep 10, 2008

I haven't used them since I bought them as a gift for a friend, but I can tell you that they feel softer than cotton. I was a little apprehensive about the blue color being too loud and bright, but I was pleasantly surprised that it was just right -- vibrant and cheery. (I bought the aqua/turquoise-like blue.) I would not hesitate to buy more.

Be sure to carefully read description! Very soft!
from North Carolina,  May 9, 2008

**Be sure to carefully read the description not just the heading** This is for a towel set, meaning towel, hand towel and washcloth, Not, as I had misread the title to be, 3 towels :( My error. BUT, once past that issue this is an amazingly soft towel set that I'm sure I will enjoy! Not real thick, but doesn't have to be to feel like cashmere. Nice rich colors, (I bought the blue set). Enjoy!

Towel trim shrank to bunch up at hem
from San Francisco, CA,  Jan 16, 2011

These bamboo towels and washcloths are not more absorbent than cotton (contrary to the claim on the product page), nor do they dry faster. The trim near the hem shrank so much on all of the towels and washcloths so they are pinched and bunchy. They are thin and cheap looking and feeling. People have actually made unsolicited comments about the poor quality of these towels. Also, the thread loops pull out across the towels, so there are multiple "tracks" where the stitching has fallen out. Strongly recommend against purchasing these towels.

Bamboo Solid Towel Set
from Northern CA,  Nov 8, 2009

Actuallty, I was disappointed. My friend recommended these towels based on an article about bamboo towels being mildew resistant. I think they are cold to touch even when they are dry. The towels are longer and narrower than most and I don't particularly like that. They do dry quickly, because they are thinner than a regular towel. I don't enjoy enjoy them much and probably won't buy bamboo towels again.

No Stink
from San Luis Obispo, CA,  Aug 26, 2009

I bought these towels to take to Africa with me. Cotton ones stink after a while (even with washing) because they never really dry in the humidity. Well over 2 weeks and I didn't get to wash them (I know that sounds yucky) and it was raining constantly so drying was not something that happened completely, but the towels did not stink!!!! (and were absorbent too). I will recommend to all the volunteers on the future teams to take Bamboo towels.

Expensive luxury item!
from Ann Arbor, MI,  Apr 8, 2009

I like these towels, but they are silky and thin, not thick & robust like cotton. My husband prefers a thicker towel. T$he weight of hese is perfect4 for me, though; I have weak arms. They are very absorbent. They also are VERY costly. I found the description to be a bit misleading. It should have said: 3-piece set, 1 face cloth, 1 hand towel, 1 bath towel. Had I read carefully and realized the true cost, I would not have purchased these, and I'm not sure they're worth the price. Overstock's values are usually so good that I overlooked this one.

Will never use cotton again
from Las Vegas, NV,  Sep 15, 2008

Absolutely AMAZING! The picture does not do this product justice. Softest towels I have EVER felt yet alone owned. Absorption is complete with little effort and even when submerged, stays fluffy and soft. I can honestly say stay away from this product so there are more for me =)

Super soft
 from Michigan,  Sep 12, 2008

I liked these towels so well that I ordered three other sets. They are very absorbent and light so they are easy to handle. I waited to wash them before I ordered more and they came out of the dryer better than before. IF you are looking for somewhat thin towels that are very absorbent I would reccommend them. If you are looking for very plush heavy towels you will be better with something else.

Decent Towel
from Miami, FL,  Aug 7, 2008

I got these towel for my new apartment because I used to have these cheapy cotton towel. And I want to give bamboo a try. My old cotton towel used to have a lot of lints on the towel. I realize how much of these lints I was breathing in when wiping my face. I tossed them away. All and all, I am pleased with this product. They are really really absorbent & super soft. The bath towel is a good size, it's sort of in between a bath towel and bath sheet.

bamboo towels
 from California,  Aug 4, 2008

These towels are great. After trying so many others, its good to finally find one I like. The fibers are nice & tight so they don't get lint all over my body after showering, plus they're soft too. I will definitely be reordering these.

Best Towels I've Ever Owned
from Milwaukee, WI,  Aug 2, 2008

These towels are so soft and so absorbent, I won't ever go back to using cotton towels again. I can actually use the washcloths on my face without feeling dry and scratchy. My hands feel softer after using these towels than before I washed them. I read someone's review saying that these towels feel like cashmere, and I have to agree. I didn't know a towel could feel this soft. I am going to recommend these towels to everyone I know. What a great deal!

Bamboo Towels
from St. Louis, MO,  Jul 18, 2008

I don't know how it is at your house, but I notice an unpleasant odor with cotton towels - and washing them doesn't help! I have used these bamboo towels for two months now. They are always soft and absorbent, dry quickly, and do not have that unwanted scent. Only problem is no bath sheet size available!

towels
 from PA,  Jun 19, 2008

The only thing wrong is I misread it and thought I was going to get 3 large bath towels. My mistake. The towels are really nice. next time I will read better, but they were still a great bargain and good quality. Thanks.
