Overall the quilt set is great and it's beginning to become one of my favorite bedsets/coverlets we have. It's cozy but still has a modern feel and the luxuriousness of quality hotel bedding. The reason I docked one star is that the picture isn't really accurate. In person, the squares are smaller, the border is thinner and has a pattern to it that doesn't show up in the photo. In the photo I thought it was a plain/patternless border which adds to the contemporary look. The fabric is also thinner than I expected. Despite that, I'm still satisfied with the set considering it gives us just the right amount of warmth in the summer months since we just use the quilt and a flat sheet.

Just received the quilt in the mail. And, I LOVE it. I think it will be the perfect thickness for all the seasons since we will have a sheet and warm blanket on the bed too. It's BEAUTIFUL. So happy that I found this!

The multicolored ruffled quilt was perfect for me. I recently painted the bedroom a more neutral shade of taupe, and it needed some color. The ruffles are in muted shades which makes it easy to add accents of color in pillows or wall decor. I appreciate that the quilt is oversized. The sheets and blankets don't peek out beneath the quilt on the sides, and it provides just the right amount of drop on either side of my queen-sized bed so that I can access the drawers beneath the deck. It's easy to make up since you can "line up the stripes" to get it straight. I'm also glad you can machine wash and dry it.

The color is a bit of a dustier blue than that shown, more of a Williamsburg blue. But beautiful! I ordered a king size quilt for my California king mattress. It works great if you don't plan on turning back the pillow part. I have my sheets turned back over the top of the quilt. The shams are for standard size pillows, not king. That works fine for me since I have several pillows grouped together. I pre-washed and machine-dried the quilt before using. It became and instant classic, shabby chic-like. I love it!

I was surprised to still see this available for sale by Overstock. My quilt is three years old. I've washed it at least 20 times, and it has really passed the test of time....It has shrunk a little bit, but seems so much softer and loftier. Just like a vintage quilt that was handed down to me. It has so many colors in it, so many different colors of sheets coordinate with this. Although, I think white sheets look the best. It was also great to see that the price has not changed much in the three years. Excellent value for the money.

Subdued colors add depth and elegance to a simple, yet detailed design. The lack of ruffles and bold color create a classic, clean quilt that is understated and elegant. The striped back side adds interest and punch. I paired it with sage sheets, a cream bedskirt, extra king-size shams and an accent roll pillow. On a Rice bed, the effect is simply beautiful. .

i would recommend to a friend, one problem, did not measure what the manufacturer proclaimed, it was not as wide as it should have been, i bought a king to go on a queen and the drop on the sides were not right. I even tried turning it around but that didn't work either, i made it work by putting same colored sheet on my box springs, if the quilt shifts a little we have a problem... the quality of the quilt is wonderful though

I am very pleased with the bedspread. The color is perfect for my room, but because it states the color "Brick" I hestitated to order. It is definately Burgundy because it matches my burgundy sheets, bedskirt and curtains . The stitching is even, it is holding it's shape, and the quilt is well constucted. It is a beautiful addition to my bedroom and I would recommend it to anyone.

This is truly an oversized quilt and fits my deep mattress very well. The dimensions are 108 x 98 and gives me the extra length and width to hang below the bed frame about 2" on the sides. I can use at least 5 colors of sheets with it and it is a good weight for year around use. . Please don't hesitate to buy this quilt AND the shams come with it - a true bonus!!

Love the rich colors in this quilt. It's light weight and soft which is great. Wish there was a matching blanket and or sheets to go with it.

I love this quilt. I wish it were a little larger in size so that is covers both matress and platform. This is a great light-weight idea for winter. I often get too hot at night. With this quilt I still get to enjoy flannel sheets and a blanket for snuggling but without weight and unneeded warmth.

The colors aren't as vibrant as the picture, but this quilt is perfect for me. I have a sleigh bed and purchased the king quilt and it fall perfectly. I put a sheet and a comforter or blanket and I am warm for these 17 degree nights. It has an old-fashioned appeal for me. I am very happy with this purchase. The quality is very good.

This is exactly what I was looking for! It is a very well constructed plaid quilt. It has a nice country look to it with all the modern look you'd want! My husband and I redecorted our room a few years ago when burgundy and gold was all the rage. A few years later and I am getting tired of the "hotel look" but didn't want to re-do the entire walls, drapes, etc. This quilt puts everything back in perspective to our country home! I will have to tell you that it is on the thing side, so don't expect to be kept toasty with it. However with a nice flannel sheet set and a warm blanket this just tops it off perfectly without feeling weighted down. I am so very pleased with this quilt!

The colors in this quilt set are magnificent! My bedroom décor is neutral, with light peach/rose colored walls and a brown/beige rug. Since this room gets very little light (which is a plus in Florida), I was hesitant about ordering a dark colored quilt. The colors are so bright it works well with my décor and limited light. The back of the quilt is definitely more red than orange. My furniture is a washed pine color. I also have 2 Golden Retrievers who are allowed on the bed; I usually put a sheet over my bedspread (light peach) to protect it. I won't need to cover this one. Of course, dog hair is a given, but that's what washing machines and lint rollers are for. I don't like bedskirts so I bought the King Size for my Queen Size bed. It fits perfectly as a bedspread. Curtain color possibilities are endless; wish they made matching curtains. I ordered a second quilt (since the price was so good) and will make a valance out of it to go over sheers. Will use the extra fabric to make some decorative pillows and a small wall hanging. I searched every website out there, and there were many carrying this particular quilt. Overstock had the best price, which allowed me to order the extra quilt, enabling me to make a bed, curtain, décor ensemble for under $$$$$. Very Satisfied.

It's soft and it's a quilt, very thin but good thin. Great for summer and it's both masc and fem. I'm really happy with it. Hard to buy sheets and covers online.

The paisley sheets I got matches the patchwork 3-piece quilt set perfectly. I could not have found a better match.

I wanted something light but still substantial for a summer quilt and I got exactly what I needed! Great colors go with all my sheets and fits perfectly on my queen bed without any cover wars. The only thing, which isn't a big deal, is you have to use a flat sheet because it isn't very sofy, but I never really use a flat sheet so that is probably only an issue for me. Anyway it is great to wrap myself up in at night but still light enough that I don't wake up all sweaty. I highly recommend.

The colors are really pretty, you could use almost any color sheets with this making it very versatile. The stitching is very good also and the quilt is not overly heavy.

If you require deep pocket fitted sheets for your mattress, this is a value you may need to pass up ... Love the colors and weight if this quilt - it's perfect for us here in Florida. My only complaint - I wish it was larger. We have a low profile mattress, and the quilt just barely covers, letting my sheets peak-a-boo from underneath. Still wouldn't return - such a great value for King sized bedding !

This set looks nice on our king size bed with a picket fence headboard that my hubby made. I wish that the quilt was a little larger because I have to hang it longer on the visible side, but, it is still looks nice. Curtains to match would be a plus!! A set of sheets tp match would be great too. Overall - I am pleased with this purchase.

Out of all the bedding made, quilts may be the most diverse. Quilts are produced in all kinds of colors, patterns, sizes, styles and types. If you're looking for a quilt but don't know where to start, take a look at the popular types of quilts below to learn more about this beautiful kind of bedding. Amish quilts: These beautiful quilts reflect the Amish way of living and feature solid colors, deep hues, geometric patterns and very little embellishment. Amish quilts contain the highest quality of construction and stitching, and, sometimes, the wonderful stitch patterns (scrolls, feathers) contrast with the simple backgrounds of their quilts. Applique quilts: These quilts use a French needlework technique where fabric pieces are sewn onto another piece of material to create a design. Applique is used extensively in the quilting process and is not to be confused with patchwork. Patchwork pieces are joined together; applique is sewn on top of the whole piece. Baltimore album quilts: Baltimore album quilts came from Maryland in the early 1800s. Each block in the design of these quilts is appliqued differently, often in ornate floral patterns. Bangladeshi quilts: These quilts are made with layers of Saree cloth. Saree cloth is silk cloth used by women of India to wrap and fold around the body as a garment. The cloth is usually 40 to 60 inches wide by 6 yards long. These quilts are used as bedding or as decorative pieces. Bargello quilts: Bargello quilts are created with offset squares in an up-and-down geometric "V" pattern. The small squares of different fabrics and the colorful designs make these quilts true works of art. Hawaiian quilts: Hawaiian quilts are not pieced, and they usually showcase a large, symmetrical applique in the center of the quilt. Most often the background is white or another solid color. Patchwork quilts: Patchwork quilts are constructed of many small pieces of fabric which are put together in an improvised or irregular pattern. This is a well-known quilt style, and examples of historical patchwork quilts are found in many museums. Ralli quilts: Ralli quilts, sometimes known as rilli quilts, are traditional quilts made in India or Pakistan. There is an abundance of embroidery as well as applique on the patchwork patterns. Star quilts: Star quilts are created with a large star shape, or several star shapes, dominating the pattern. Wedding ring quilts: Wedding ring quilts are crafted in a design of interlocking rings. This pattern goes far back in history: in the fourth century it was used to decorate drinking cups in Rome. Wedding ring quilts are highly popular and make wonderful wedding gifts. If you're looking for a gift to please an engaged couple, you can't go wrong with a wedding quilt. Bedding always makes a significant gift for the bride and groom, and a quilt with coordinating Egyptian cotton sheets can be even better. View All Quilts Back to Guides Directory View All Quilts
