Quilted 5-inch Featherbed Cover with 18-inch Skirt

The 5" quilted cover with skirt seems to be very well-made. The description says 100 cotton, but it has the look and feel of plasticky paper, noisy and stiff, sort of like granny's old-fashioned highly starched damask sheets. It seems to be water-proof although I did not check. I wonder what a good soak or two would do to it. But for now, in part to sentimental reasons and fond memories, it gets a thumbs-up. The only negative (hence the 4 star only) is the zipper on only one side which makes it rather difficult to stuff whatever you need covered. I got mine for a king size memory foam pad, which kept sliding off the bed. The skirt took care of that. I only wish the cover would come in a queen size as well so I could get them for the rest of my beds, because I think the cover is a very good value for the low price, it accomplishes the job and seems to be of good quality (which only time will tell).
