We recently bought a latex pillow top mattress and wanted to protect the bamboo quilted pillow top and mattress with a waterproof cover. Since my pillow top is very plush, I did not need a quilted waterproof cover, just a nice cover to protect my mattress. Several waterproof covers on the market are treated with a ProGuard stain protection in the terry cloth material, while the Protect-A-Bed uses a miracle membrane which is slippery on top of my bamboo quilted pillow top mattress. The cotton terry cloth finish is also very slippery and over all this is a very thin mattress cover. Since my mattress is 13 inches thick, the nylon sides of the mattress cover with elastic all around the edges does fit and go under my thick mattress, but I really don't like the nylon on the sides of this cover. I would rather have a cotton finish. I bought this because the reviews were really good and many people said that you would not hear any "crunchy" sound. I washed the cover before using and put it on my mattress and noticed that it slips all around on top of my pillow top mattress. I thought that after I put on my 100% Egyptian Cotton Sateen fitted sheet over the pad that it would not slip, but it does due to the slippery feeling of the cotton terry cloth finish. After sleeping on the bed one night with this mattress cover on, my fitted sheet slips back and forth and we both noticed as we were sleeping in the bed that we could feel the sheet slip and hear a "crunchy" noise. Since I want to protect our new mattress, I am leaving on the Protect-A-Bed cover but I have added another fitted quilted cotton mattress cover on top of the waterproof cover. Now the fitted sheet is not slipping, and we don't hear a "crunchy" sound every time we turn over on our mattress. Since I did not see this item before purchasing, I am stuck with this cover and because it is so thin and slips on my mattress I would not recommend this item. If I had to buy a waterproof cover again, I would prefer a quilted cover made with cotton and a stain protection finish instead of the slippery membrane that is under this terry cotton cover. I would look and feel any mattress cover before buying one again to see how slippery it would be on a quilted mattress.

These are great we have them on all our beds. Waterproof but soft and not-plasticy feeling.

Perfect mattress pad. Love the terrycloth top. Washes up nicely. And fits the bed very well.

This is the second one I have bought. I would highly recommend. We bought our son a mattress, and I wanted him to have this to protect it.

I bought this item at a reasonable price from Overstock. We are pleased with the results as it it cool,quiet and comfortable. It it installed on a pillowtop mattress and you can hardly tell it is there. No spills of any kind yet so can't comment on it stain blocking ability. Overall we are happy with this purchase.

Ordered a mattress cover and before it arrived I realized I'd ordered the wrong one. So re-ordered the correct size - unfortunately, you guys are so good at sending the product the wrong arrived just about the time I was ordering the right one. But no problem, customer service sent me the return shipping label and I had no problem returning it - even had my refund posted all in the span of about a weeks time - and this all happened right in the middle of the holiday rush! Good job and very much appreciated.

It appeared when I took the mattress pad out of the package it would not be plastic sounding when laying on. After washing it sounded horrible. Would not recommend.

I find this to be the best mattress protector. It is waterproof, doesn't feel or sound like you are sleeping on plastic. I have them on all of our beds.

My 7 month old puppy urinated on the bed and this cover completely protected my brand new mattress. I didn't find this accident right away and there was no odor/no stain on my mattress at all! Exactly what I needed it to do...it did!

The service from Overstock.com is Excellent along with the quality of their products.

We have two of these mattress pads and they wash and dry beautifully. I did not notice any crinkling noise. I cannot attest to its waterproof as we have thus far not had any accidents.

Much thinner than the standard waterproof mattress protector - much like a stretchy sheet, which makes it super easy to wash. Highly recommend, and the price is excellent.

We bought this at the same time as we bought a queen memory foam mattress. Thank goodness we did! Although our puppy rarely has accidents anymore, apparently he couldn't control himself one time when he was up on the bed. It washed up perfectly and protected our investment in the mattress. I should add, another reason this is so great is that it doesn't feel like you are lying on a layer of plastic - it just feels like a mattress pad.

I bought the sheets for my elderly mother-in-law. The waterproofing is quiet, she didn't know I had changed the protector. And, after several accidents, I can say this has been a great investment on saving a fairly new mattress.

We recently purchased a memory foam mattress from a well known furniture store. I needed to purchase a mattress pad to go with our mattress, well the furniture store wanted *** more than overstock.com! I got the same exact pad for a much cheaper price. It pays to shop online!

This is a great protector for you mattress. I am not sure that it would be enough to protect from a large spill but minor accidents will not ruin your mattress with this protector. I have bought a couple for each bed in the house so that I can have a spare to use when I change the sheets. I would never go without one on the beds. I would definitely recommend these protectors. They fit great too!

I have used this bed cover on my memory foam mattress, which could very easily be damaged by liquids. I am also a mother of three, and this product has held up to protecting my mattress from an entire bottle of spilled milk and a wet-the-bed accident from my four year old. My mattress still looks untouched, good as new, thanks to this cover! In addition to being reliable, the product is also very comfortable. It is soft and does not make noises when sleeping on it. In fact, I would never know I was sleeping on anything "waterproof". Additionally, the sides stretch and are very durable, unlike other mattress covers I've used that rip and tear. I will be a lifelong customer of this brand/product.

I researched mattress pads for a while. I read the reviews on this one and liked that it was waterproof (although we do bring food or drink into the bedroom). I bought this based on the reviews that despite the waterproof backing, it was NOT too hot sleep on. Well, that is INCORRECT. I woke up sweating in the dead of WINTER with the window open. I started using my ceiling fan in December to try to cooldown. Thus, I had no choice but to return it. If you get warm when you sleep, don't buy this pad. In addition, it was a little crinkly. On the positive side, it fit the bed.

Wash hot, dry medium will give you a giant ball of shink wrapped sheets...Otherwise love this product.
