I had been looking for small woven ottomans to use as extra seating in my living room. These were a great find and I purchased 2. The construction is sturdy. When you're seated on the ottoman, it feels stable and the pillow top is comfortable. The extra storage is a plus. I'm using one to store TP (my house is VERY small!) and it holds about 12 rolls. The other holds 3 rolls of paper towels. The color is described on the box as "Walnut" and the picture is true to the appearance. The pillow is a neutral tan in a thick burlap-type fabric. I could see them looking nice in a variety of rooms. I didn't particularly need the waste basket, but I'll use it in another room most likely. Found the same ottoman on other sites without the basket for double the price! I'm very pleased.

Love using the porter as a secret hideaway for projects in the living room. There are holes in the linen liner so the bag can hook inside the storage unit. These holes are a little big for their purpose and occasionally they unhook. Not too big a deal. One of these days I'll get around to hand sewing them closed so they don't fall off. We use the waste basket in our bedroom and it accents the room nicely. Both items have a faint pleasing un-smoked cigar smell that I noticed for the first week or so. I don't recall noticing it lately, but I may just be used to the scent.
