I have been using only down comforters for years. I love them for their cuddliness and the way they help regulate body temperature. Living in S. Fl., I need the lightest weight possible. And for a queen bed, I decided on a blanket because it was 1/2 the weight than the lightest down comforter I own or could find. LOVE this one! The box stitching keeps the down from shifting. It is perfectly oversized. It fluffs up just a bit where it can pass as a stuffed quilt. Love the satin border on all four sides! As others have stated, the Purple is more of a soft lilac, which actually drew me to it. It's a beautiful color.... not over the top, but just right for a peaceful bedding look. I have cats and although they play on the blanket, not one tear or pull. It has lost exactly 2 feathers in the 2 weeks that it has been on the bed. Very well made! As far as others mentioning the "crinkly" sound.... it is very slight and in no way disturbs my sleep. This blanket is almost as cuddly as an oversized down comforter!! I run hot at night and this "blanket" suits me and will be perfect in the spring and fall. Don't need a duvet cover, as it's lovely enough on its own.

After searching and returning down blankets (not at O) I finally found one that drapes my bed past the top mattress! Not to mention of the warmth it returns. I wasnt' sure of the pleated detail, but after "fluffing" the blanket, it "poofs" the squares and lets the down inside have room to "fluff", and I have to admit that I'm very pleased with the results. The blanket looks like a semi-poofy quilt, with dimension. I gave it a four only for the color, or lack of , as the only option available for king was a bland natural/off white. Oh and the price and expediency of delivery is not to be forgotten. Bravo! O!

Since you only had two colors to choose from, pink and purple, I chose purple, since it was going under a quilt. The color was a purple gray color, just beautiful, even my husband liked it, he thought it was gray. This blanket is warmer than a down comforter, an excellent buy.

Very nice - Large comforter - we were looking for something that would actually hang over the edges of our King size bed and this fits the bill. It's a bit crinkly sound-wise, but my infant loves that about it, so it's actually a positive. I like it because it's light, and I always get too hot at night so it's perfect for me. The only negative I found was that only pink was available, and I'm not a pink fan.

We are very pleased with this light-weight blanket. We have a queen sized bed and it is a very generous size. Living in Florida I think it will be able to be used year round (with air conditioner in warmer weather) as we are using it now! We love its light weight.

Just received this blanket and i am beyond disappointed. it is not "plush" or purple! it is grey! the picture shows a plush soft material - the blanket isn't even as soft as my sheets! i ordered purple and got grey... which is not even an option. if you are looking for a purple/lilac/lavender down blanket, do NOT buy this one.

This is a Northern NIghts comforter from QVC for MUCH cheaper but the quality and comfort are xact. What a deal. I love it.

We replaced our very heavy-weight comforter with this down blanket. It's great!! It's very light-weight, yet warm enough for Indiana winter weather!!!!

Next year, I will be giving this to my adult children as a Christmas gift! It is exactly as described, but, there is a bonus! It makes bed making a snap! Give it a little snap and it streaches out and smoothes down. My kids' beds should be made when I come to visit next year! (Or, maybe not.)

I fell in love with down blankets last year when I learned they are perfect for both summer and winter. I wanted a large down blanket (a bit less heavy than a comforter) and this one is great. It is MUCH larger than the average queen size at 96x96" so it actually covers the bed as a bedspread might, coming within a few inches of the floor. Not every square is perfectly and equally filled, but I really don't care because overall this was a good buy for a quality product and it's perfect for my guest room.

This blanket is just the right weight for Spring and Summer. The weight still feels cuddly, but without making you overheat. The color is vibrant, and Ive washed the blanket a few times and it still looks great. Thank you!

This blanket has been the perfect weight for Texas winters. I love the purple color but I also have a white cotton duvet cover that I often put on this comforter so I can use it with different bedding. It is light and warm, folds nicely for storage during the hot summer months. Would highly recomment. Also love the size, it was long and wide enough to cover our extra thick bed.

I was reluctant to purchase this oversized plush down blanket as I needed a summer blanket and was interested in cotton. After reading the reviews for the cotton blankets with endless issues of pilling, shrinking, stretching, etc. my husband suggested I purchase a lightweight down blanket as we had experienced this in an inn. So I took the plunge. The down blanket arrived. I washed it on the gentle cycle of our machine and machine dried it on low. It came out wonderfully and although there was some odor initially, it went away within the week. The smell was of wet chicken feathers, a natural smell. My husband cannot say enough about the comfort of the blanket. I really love it as well. I would HIGHLY recommend this blank to anyone interested in a lightweight spring/fall/summer blanket.

This is a nicely lightweight down blanket. It produces a really cozy warmth without the weight of a heavy blanket. It does have a "krinkle" sound to it but it certainly isn't enough to keep me up at night. I like it.

I ordered one of these and discovered it was pacific coast...instantly I ordered 2 more!!! For that price you can't beat it! It is wayyyyy oversized and is the most comfortable blanket ever!
