I just bought these so I can't say how they wear or wash, BUT my initial reaction is that they are great. Light sheen, very silky soft. I think these are going to be super comfortable to sleep on. The blue color I bought is exactly what I expected as well. Have a little dot pattern on them which is subtle, but adds a little bit of "fanciness" to them. I wasn't sure about the 550tc, but I've found that the higher thread counts don't always mean soft, so it seems that, at least for pillow cases, the 550 is perfect.

Although this is not a fancy item, they are always needed as replacements or color changes. These have a nice soft hand that I think will remain after washing.

Like the chocolate color. Pretty soft. The dots are subtle, but give it a littel somethign extra.

The cases are soft and wonderful next to your face as you sleep. Smooth and cool to the face. Make sleep a joy.

I love this fabric and will buy more as time goes by. I want to replace all my sheets with pima cotton.The colors are beautiful, fab. pattern. Everything top quality.

These sheets are soft and gentle to the skin. The fabric is hefty and sturdy and has as gives off a slight sheen. They tend to come out of the dryer wrinkled, but hold up well after they're ironed. Besides that, my only complaint is that I can't find extra pillowcases to match.
