I'm very pleased with this comforter. The baffles are sewn all the way around so the down stays in place. I've never understood why so many comforters have an unsewn space in the baffles. A lot of the down migrates to the perimeter. Sure, you can shake it back, but that's a lot of work for elderly hands, arms, and shoulders. The color is a little funky, closer to mauve than to taupe. But it's decorative enough that you don't need a spread. The weight is just right for our cool bedroom Marcia
Since I typically purchase after reading reviews I decided to write one on this beautiful comforter and sham set. I was more then happy when it arrived and found the quality was excellent the colors were as pictured and the surprise for me was the sham border was solid turquoise which matched my decor perfectly! The fit as well was excellent on my queen size bed, that shams are standard pillow size. I will definitely recommend this as a good purchase, the down Phil is good loft is great so if the colors pictured match your decor it's a good buy.
I ordered this because I needed my old comforter replaced asap. I went for the lowest priced item and honestly didn't expect much. I was expecting something similar to the thin, low quality comforters my ex husband had bought for cheap several years ago. When the comforter arrived, it looked thin as well which was fine with me. However, over the first few days of use, it puffed up and turned into the best comforter I ever had. The colors are easy on the eyes and go well with the rest of my room. Which is a huge improvement over our old white comforters, that we had to buy or make duvet covers for. My mom stopped by yesterday and saw it, liked it a lot, and thought I'd paid*** for it. I will likely buy another two of these for my sons, as theirs are old and worn out. Thank you!
Absolutely what we were looking for. Just wish I'd had enough in the budget to buy another! I wasn't sure I'd like the color, (stucco) but figured I could put it in a duvet. It's REALLY nice. No duvet here! Excellent quality, we got medium weight, and it's perfect for us. We live in very Northern lower Michigan, current have over a foot of snow, and temps getting down into the -20's at night, and this keeps us toasty.
I bought the stucco color and to me its a medium brown, I was told it was a pinkish red by overstock. I am not crazy about the texture of the cover but it is so cozy and warm, I don't care. It is oversized so that is another plus. It also said in the add "dry clean only" which was a definite turn off but the reviews were so good I ordered it anyway. It turns out it is machine washable according to the tag attached to the comforter. If something happen to this cover I would order another one the same day. Even my husband raves about it and he usually could care less about bed covers.
This duvet arrived flat and I did fluff it. I allowed it three days to puff up. It didn't! I shook the individual layers and several squares had almost no feathers in them! It said NORTHERN NIGHTS and they're known for quality but when I saw the label "MADE IN CHINA", my heart sank. It isn't a "medium warmth " as indicated but rather a light one. Despite shaking it and doing the squares individually it has remained rather thin! I didn't care too much about the color as we always have our duvets inside covers. There also was no odor but for winter use to stay warm it's too thin here. Sad that the company cut costs like this as it's hard to afford a down duvet. I gave it to a friend in Dallas who is allergic to feathers. So he's passed it on. Hypoallergenic obviously doesn't mean no allergies to feathers!
This is a nice down comforter , the price was right. It fits our queen bed perfectly. The color is more of a warm beige..sad to say there was only 1 color choice avail. The nights are getting colder and this down comforter is doing the job. The quality is great, no feathers poling out to make me regret my purchase. If I need another down comforter , I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.
