Down and feather-filled products are packed tightly during shipping. Upon receipt, remove them from their packaging, fluff gently, and allow several hours to recover their full loft. In addition, being sealed in plastic packaging sometimes causes the scent of these natural products to concentrate to a disagreeable level. A few hours of airing usually removes the odor.
We recommend that this comforter is fluffed at least once a week to maintain down distribution.

Love the size. I bought a king to fit on my queen size bed and it was perfect. It is a bit too warm for summer in Florida with the A/C on but it should be perfect for the winter. It is so cozy.Read More
Fits our king size bed very nicely with enough overhang on all sides. We live in Texas and it may as well be summer since it's already in the 80s....it's warm at night but not too warm.Read More
after doing some researching (and getting help from an interior designer i know) i decided on this comforter and have been happy with my decision. it has proven to be very fluffy, with a lot of down in each square. keeps me toasty warm at night. Good price for a good comforter that will last a long time.Read More
I ordered this one because it says "Oversized" and "All seasons" in the same sentence. I don't like to be too warm when I sleep, even through the winter as California winters are pretty mild, compared to others. However, I liked the idea of "oversized" still, and I'm not quite sure where the "oversized" part came in, but I really think they should take that out of the description. Some of the squares are less filled than others, and I am kind of disappointed that it's only 75% down after I decided against the down blend comforters as I wanted a real down comforter. All in all, it's a great comforter. The sizing has been hard to figure out because I ordered a duvet cover that actually ended up being smaller in size as far as dimensions, but it was still way too big for the comforter. Overstock was great about returning it though and it was fast and painless. I think this is a great buy if you want one of the thinner down comforters and like to sleep light at night. All things considered, I am not picky, just a heads up on the things I have encountered.Read More

Best Fills for Down Comforters
Warm and incredibly soft, down comforters are the height of luxurious bedding. Like all other bedding, down comforters can range from inexpensive to costly. The proof is in the filling. Inexpensive down comforters are filled with a combination of down and polyester or down and feathers. The best down comforters, which are usually also the most expensive, are full of pure, thick down. Take a look below to learn the best fills for down comforters. Hungarian goose down: Hungarian goose down is considered the most luxurious type of down. These extreme cold-weather birds have very thick, almost odorless tufts of down at the base of their feathers. This heavy, long-lasting down is most often used in comforters with a fill rating of 800, which means they can keep a person warm even in cold conditions. Eiderdown: Eiderdown is harvested by hand from the abandoned nests of Eider ducks, which pluck the down from their own backs and use it to cover their eggs. Eider ducks live in cold climates, so their down is thick and heavy. It is used in high-quality comforters with a fill rating of between 700 and 800. Eider duck down is the only type of duck down used in high-quality comforters. All other duck down is usually considered too smelly (and some duck down has tiny barbs) and is used in much less expensive comforters. Grey and white goose down: Grey goose down is used in dark comforters due it its grey color, but it is the same as white goose down in all other ways. Grey and white goose down, which is usually harvested from European or Chinese geese, is the most popular type of down used in middle-price-range pure down comforters. These comforters usually have a fill rating of 600 and above. Hypodown: Hypodown is a mixture of white goose down and milkweed. This all-natural filling is hypoallergenic and much more durable than pure down comforters. While pure down is still considered to be the preferable fill for comforters by most people, hypodown is gaining popularity with consumers who want a longer lasting product without synthetic fills. You know it's time to cover the beds with cozy comforters when there's a chill in the air and cold weather sets in. Bedding stored in moisture-resistant bags with the air removed will be clean, but it may be flat, too. Generally stored during the warm seasons, down comforters may become lumpy if the filling was unevenly distributed while they were packed away. Comforters currently in use that appear flat should be freshened, too. A simple fluffing will restore volume, making your bedding plush and cuddly for cold winter nights. Look below to learn how to fluff comforter sets.

After a few miles, you'll probably regret packing just any old cooking gear you had on hand. When you go hiking, make sure to take camping cooking equipment designed with backpacking in mind. Here are a few items you shouldn't forget on your next backpacking trip.

Not only do they have a deliciously old-world appeal for modern-day bed dwellers; they also make chilly nights and leisurely weekend mornings something to look forward to. To buy a good down comforter, there are only a few pertinent details you need to have at your disposal before you make your final selection. Below, you'll learn how to buy a good down comforter.
How to Buy a Down Comforter
Two major considerations when purchasing a down comforter are content and construction. The Federal Trade Commission has standards set that specify labeling procedures for products that contain down. If the label of a down comforter reads 100 percent down, the comforter must contain down feathers exclusively. The same is true if the label reads pure down or all down. Most down comforters are made with goose down, but some may include down feathers from other species of fowl. Look below to learn how to buy a down comforter.
Duvets Buying Guide
With so many different brands and styles of duvets available, learning a little bit them will help you find one that is perfect for your bed. "Duvet" is simply another word for "down comforter." Here's what you need to know about down comforter fabrics, fill, and construction.
