This is the best down comforter I have ever owned. It says dry clean only but I wash it and it washes up beautifully. I would buy it again and again.

I love, love, love this comforter! I bought it a while back and only started using it recently. It's very warm! For cold natured people, this is perfect! I haven't had any issues with feathers coming out either. The comforter is nice and fluffy and it seems the feathers stay put. I have't had any issues with them bunching up in the corners or sides. If you're thinking about getting this comforter, I say go for it! You won't be disappointed.

A very High quality product, very warm and fluffy. Can be too warm, if the room temp is over 70 degrees F, but most of the time it's perfect.

I love Overstock but this was the first item I have ever returned. The quality seemed good but as soon as I took it out of the package I knew I would not be able to sleep with the crunchy paper sound of the comforter. Very much like a thick waxy tissue or packing paper. It is also as others have said quite shiny, that didn't bother me because I was going to use a duvet cover. This one went back.

Great Value! Fluffed up nicely, no big issues with feathers coming out. Finish is shiny but planning on using duvet so not a problem for me. Bought 3, myself & daughters all very happy and warm. Size is nice....big enough to cover hubby & I !

This comforter is absolutely yummie. It's lush, plush, soft and silky. I bought a queen size and it is a true queen, not the full/queen that is so prevailent today. It fit's the bed the way a comforter should.

I was looking for an oversized comforter - this one measured a bit short when I pulled it out of the box. Only 88x94 instead of the advertised 90x98. I was also disappointed in the fill. I had a panel in the middle of the comforter that had very little fill in it. It was visible when I laid the comforter on the bed and also when I held it up to a window - you could see that it was lacking compared to the boxes on either side. The rest of the boxes fluffed up a bit, but overall I was expecting more "fill". If it had been on the edge, maybe I could have lived with it, but not in the middle! As mentioned by others, the cover is pretty shiny, but it is partly silk so that is to be expected. The tag on the cover states "Minimum of 75% Goose Down", and there is no indication of what else may be included. FYI that the tag also states that it is "Dry Clean Only". Overall, I was disappointed and I am returning the item. Maybe I got a lemon? I really wanted to love it! Kudos to Overstocks customer service . . .great to deal with and they are paying to return my item because it was "defective".

This is the first down comforter I have personally purchased, though I have owned several. I love it! It's a little heavier than I expected, and very warm, so I probably won't use it much this summer, but my whole family comes and climbs in bed with me to "snuggle" now that I have it on my bed! It's hilarious! It elicits sweet memories for me, too! The quality is good, though I shake it out each time I make my bed just to smooth the down in each quilted square, or it tends to get a little lumpy. (Though I have noticed that with every one I have owned.) I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good quality comforter at a very reasonable cost.

This down comforter was for our Grandaughter. She loves it and for the price I recomend it.

I gave this comforter a 4 rather than 5 because, as other reviews said, the look of the comforter is not at all like the picture. It has a high sheen to the stripes, it almost looks like vinyl or something... I have never seen anything like it honestly. I thought I would not mind a little shine, but it really is not pretty, and it's just overall too much. I don't plan to use it without a duvet cover though, so I kept it. It fluffs up nicely, only a few feathers have come out. I haven't had many down comforters, but I think it is a perfect medium weight. It's winter in Maine, and it keeps us plenty warm, but it's not heavy and I don't overheat under it. I did not notice any smell. I also don't think it's all that oversized... I have a queen bed and I do almost wish it hung down a little more (although it may be affected by the cover it's in). Still very nice though, I am very pleased with my purchase for the price.

This is a great value, well worth the money. Great warmth and very light.

The down comforter feels very full and soft and was worth the money. I bought it as a gift and I am so pleased to report that the person sleeps better all night and stays warm. I also got two twin comforters in similar material and the down comforters allows the 2 and 4 yr olds to sleep all night due to the down that keeps them warm. I can recommend any of these down comforters to my friends and family.

It's never too late to buy a comforter like this even if it is the middle of winter. I can't believe I had not given myself this kind of comfort before. Prior to purchasing this comforter, I used a cotton comforter and added other blankets, all of which created layers and layers of weight which made sleeping an ordeal. This comforter is light and yet very warm. It fits over my full size futon very well and, on top of that, is very affordable. I highly recommend it.

Received down comforter today. No smell at all out of the box. Fluffed up well. Put it into my duvet cover, I was a bit worried about the oversized size of the quilt, but it fit snuggly into the duvet. No cold spots! The fabric is luxurious and they are side gussets that have welted seams. Very well made. Price was excellent especially ordering a down quilt in the middle of winter! Company coming tonight! With all that fluffing, only a few stray down clusters came out. We have used down comforters for over 40 years. I'm sure this one will be a lifetime favorite too. I machine wash my quilts periodically. Never a problem. It does take forever to dry though.

I had my last down comforter for 20 years. It took the feathers flying out of it for me to get rid of it. I didn't think I would ever find a new one that I like as much. Now that I've gotten this comforter I wish I had gotten rid of it long ago! I just love this new down comforter. It fluffed right up and looks nice and full in my duvet. The comforter itself has shiney stripes on it which don't bother me because I use a duvet, but if you don't plan on using one that might not be for you. I like them myself and think they are a nice addition to a plain white comforter. Overall.....Great buy, great comfort. I can't wait to climb in bed each night, beware...hard to get out of bed in the morning!

This down comforter is beautiful. It is very similar to a comforter that I purchased several years ago from The Company Store for over $300. This comforter was made for Frontgate (expensive merchandise) and does have a sheen to the stripes as one other review indicated (but is is not gaudy). It is also closer to an ivory color rather than white, as indicated by another reviewer. I purchased tailored bedskirts in ivory and white and the ivory matches better with the comforter. Also, it is a little warm...I have a blanket between my comforter and flannel sheet and I have to remove the comforter or I sweat.

I love this down comforter. I love the shiny fabric which makes it look classy. I love that it is light but very warm. I am so glad I bought it and highly recommend it.

My husband and I both love this comforter. The only problem we have with it is that I want to protect it from getting dirty (we have two little dogs that jump on the bed. I have been looking for a comforter cover and I have not been able to find one large enough. This lovely comforter is 108x98. I have it tucked away until I can find a cover and I am dying to use it.

This comforter was not an inexpensive item. We thought we were buying an outstanding value.The first time the comforter was used the down began to come out of the major seam. There was a lot of down coming out. We had to sew the comforter up over an extended area of the main seam.Very careless and shoddy workmanship!

We love our over-sized comforter. We needed a larger one to fit our duvet cover, so this worked out perfectly. We live in NYC, and it's plenty of warmth in the winter, but not too heavy. Great quality as well. The only "drawback" is that the appearance is more ivory than white, and the stripes are thinner and rather shiny. Its not a big deal for us, because we're putting in a duvet cover. But if you want to use it without a cover, plan accordingly.
