Very nice, decorative blanket. Ordered the plum color in queen size. This is not an overstuffed, big, fluffy down blanket, so if that is what you are looking for-- buy another blanket. This blanket has just the right amout of down for Texas weather and it does not feel heavy on your feet. This is a Northern Nights blanket, which is not advertised. I was pleased to see that, because I have purchased many blankets from Northern Nights blankets in the past for a bigger purchase price. You will have some shedding of the down, I believe this is something you will experience in ANY down blanket. The shedding will stop, the blanket will wash well and last for many years.
I looked high and low for a perfect down "blanket" for our Cal-King size bed. I've previously purchased two down blankets from Overstock and love love love them. I even travel with one of them if I'm going to be away for more than a night. The only drawback to my two older ones is that they aren't "oversize" and I could use a little more blanket on a king size bed with two people sharing the covers. The other ones are perfect for a queen sized bed. Fast forward to this purchase, this was a true "oversize" for the King size bed with the dimension of 110 x 96. Most Kings are 108 x 96, including another "oversize" blanket on this site. That extra two inches is noticeable! I washed this before using and after deciding I was going to keep it and was ecstatic to see that my dryer lint tray was essentially CLEAN after drying (it takes several cycles to completely dry -- but all down blankets do and I probably go overboard to make sure it is really dry. Even my other blankets that I love shed quite a bit in the dryer (but that seems to be it for the most part, other than the occasional errant fly away feather). Also, this pattern is very elegant and I like the dark color (I got drizzle). My only kncok is that I would prefer not to have a satin edge; however, again, I looked high and low for an option without the satin edge (there is one on here with a velvet edge, but it wasn't oversized, had a lower thread count (300 vs 350), some reviewers complained that it smelled, and was a few dollars more), so I opted to suck it up in the satin edge department! (Incidentally, my other two blankets don't have a satin edge, so I know they can be made without them; I'm not sure why it seems to be the go to standard). However, satin edge aside, I'm in love with this blanket. Oh, and it's perfectly toasty too, even with out 30 degree night last night. I have no doubt it will be fine in the summer too as my other ones fit the bill all year round and have a similar feel.
Very nice quality down blanket...same as sold on a popular shopping channel for twice the money. Same brand also sold at Costco which is known for quality brands. So prety I ordered a second one in another color. I use it as a bedspread. Not at all skimpy!
I have looked and looked for a blanket that really fits a king size bed. Long enough to tuck in at the bottom and wide enough to hang over on the sides. I purchased this one because it said oversized. I fits very well. It has a very good length and width. It is warm without being too hot. The one thing I do not like about it is that it is too slippery. It is like the old fashioned nylon material and it does not stay in place well. Quite frankley, I was really surprised to see this type of material in a quilt or blanket made in this day and age!
This down blanket is perfect--not too hot, not too heavy or bulky, not slippery. My husband is always hot and I am always cold, but somehow, with this blanket--we are both comfortable. We ordered the king and it is covers the bed with a great amount of overhang--this keeps us from pulling blankets back and forth. We ordered the blue/seafoam color and it matches my Izod comforter set perfectly! It is nice that it has flowers on one side and is plain on the other. Very good quality. Very pleased!
I purchased this blanket for my mother as a holiday git in the Shitake color, queen size. Its beautiful color, more like a sage or moss color, very neutral and fluffy. My mom and l live in Southern California so the blanket is perfect to use all year long. Its a Northern Night blanket, which you sells easily for twice the money at a major shopping network on TV. This blanket is a very good deal for the value and quality.
Overall, a good product, but here's why I returned it: I overlooked the word "oversized" in the title. Granted, I also ordered a king for a queen mattress, but I've always done this and appreciated the extra area of coverage. With this product though, the king is definitely meant for a king. Don't be silly like me. I must have a different opinion of what color ivory is. This comforter came off to me a bit too brown (rather than a light cream?), but this might have also been due to the fact that the print which I pictured to be more gold definitely turned out more muted and brown-ish. Now, I still admit that the comforter was very pretty. I even got a compliment on it, but it just wasn't for me.
I wanted a light weight down comforter in a dark color and this one is perfect. It's very light and yet warm enough for chilly NY spring nights. The brown color is perfect for hiding puppy paw prints. The distribution of down is excellent, there has been no leakage and the overall quality of the quilt is excellent. I'm very pleased with this product and would even recommend it to my mother!
The blanket is well made and attractive. I was hesitant to purchase the grey but it is much richer looking than it appears in the photo. It's a nice light to midweight down blanket and not so heavy on my husband's legs that he has to kick it off. I will purchase one for our guest room!
Quality and down fill just as expected. Fabric is reversible to solid which was not in the details on-line but glad to have the option. Color was a bit hard to discern on-line since it was a dark color but worked out OK. This is the second down blanket I have purchased from Overstock and I am very happy with both.
