Overfilled 230 Thread Count Baffle-box Featherbed

I bought this to use in our pop up camper bed as the mattress in our camper is very firm almost hard to sleep on. I was not dissapointed !!! What a change !! and the price for the feather bed was really VERY CHEAP !!! ( I had looked around ) We finally had a good nights sleep . By the way , when we opened it and shook it out there was no smell at all , even at camp when it became quite humid, it did not effect this either although I did buy a cover for it . I even bought a queen size for the other side of our camper as my husband & I loved it sooooooooo much, that we felt guilty if we did not !!

I will be purchasing another one for my bed at home. (If they still have any next month; which I doubt since they are so wonderful!) In fact, I wish I could purchase yet another for my parent's bed. (Their bed is so old; 15+ years.) * They could have used a higher thread-count, and made it softer, but then it would have cost a Lot More, and I already knew the thread count at the time I made the purchase. So that's my fault for not choosing one with a 500+ Thread Count. (Which they don't seem to make, but I personally prefer.) Perfect Solution: I will be purchasing a duvet cover in a beautiful color with a Very High Thread Count: 1200. This will go over the featherbed like a pillow case goes over a pillow, make it softer, and easier to fluff. We change our sheets at least once a week, and will be fluffing the featherbed then. (Mine isn't as good as this one, and needs fluffing 3+ times a week.) It will be so much easier to have the featherbed on top on the fitted sheet, in it's own case, ready to be fluffed every day. I cannot wait for that purchase to add to this featherbed perfection!

I purchased this featherbed for our guest bedroom. We have a higher quality featherbed on our main bed and compared to that, this one is just so-so. I feel like this featherbed just flattens right out when you sleep on it. I guess I'm just used to the nicer featherbed on my bed. Overall, I think you get what you pay for. I didn't expect it to be super high quality for the price I paid. For the price, this featherbed is alright.
