down blanket

This is a nice blanket, however it does make a lot of noise when moving around in bed.

A good, not fantastic, item
 from Oregon,  Aug 20, 2009

The blanket is quite attractive with nice trim all the way around, the sizing is good for the king size bed it is on. The weight of the blanket is perfect for those mornings when the windows are open and the outside temperature goes below 60 degrees. The only negative comment I have is that the fabric does make a crisp fabric rustling sound (like some of the down jackets made in the 1970's) when the blanket is moved. The noisy fabric is not a problem for me but it might be for someone who is a very light sleeper.

Excellent
from New Mexico (yes it gets very cold in our area),  Jan 1, 2010

I purchased this twin comforter for my parents, as my mother is always a bit colder than dad. I was hoping mom could add extra warmth to their king down comforter, while allowing dad the warmth he already enjoys without roasting. This blanket has lived up to an excellent standard. Not only is the price right, but the fabric is soft and the blanket isnt too heavy. This might be a great sping/summer blanket (if used alone) or additional blanket for the winter. The stitching is well done and the edging gives it an elegant flair. Would highly recomment

New port Blanket
from Hooper Utah,  Dec 2, 2009

The blanket is nice, However I didn't notice the dry clean only label. The blanket is also noisey when moving around in bed. Why? I don't know.

Great blanket!
 from Tennessee,  Nov 6, 2009

I was looking for a lightweight but warm blanket. I love my down comforter, but it's just too heavy (weight, not warmth). This blanket is the perfect weight and so far I've been using only a sheet and this blanket. The temperature in my room is about 68 degrees. It does make a slight "crinkle" sound, but I like that. (Call me strange). I haven't washed it but it seems well made. I think it will hold up fine. I wish it came in all white, but the ecru blends well with my room colors.

It looks very classy. My only complaint is that it does not have a lot of down in it. Overall a great product

My husband and I have to travel a lot for work, by auto, and I wanted a substitute for hotel blankets that, on a king-sized bed, are either too heavy or too skimpy-- no matter how they advertise. Using this light weight down blanket gave us the first good night's hotel sleep we've had in years. It keeps you warm--but not too warm--and folds into a compact carrier so it easily becomes a small part of your luggage. It's also good at home for light weight use. The size (Cal King--better than if I'd bought a Reg King) was perfect for two and the color was better than I expected when I bought the only remaining "tan" one. It is a nice, contemporary color with a woven pattern in the material. The hypo allerganic cover makes it a bit "noisy", but that diminishes with use.

Good Qualifty @ Good Price

Difficult to find blankets in CAL King. This was one of the only ones at a descent price. We have looked elsewhere and were unable to find anything.

good summer or second blanket
 from Maine,  Dec 31, 2011

This is a good summer blanket or second winter blanket paired with a down puff. I am a sucker for satin trim, and this is a nice wide band of creamy satin. Lightly down filled, so don't expect anything super-warm, but I'm happy with it for what it is. Good looking, well-constructed and while I can't remember if it's washable, I've washed it on delicate with no problems.

down blanket/flannel sheets.
from South Portland ME,  Jan 15, 2010

I made two purchases, one the down blanket and 6 ounce flannel sheets both a big disappointment. The blanket you can see through and the sheets, after one washing, are horrible...............both sounded too good to be true I guess they are!!!!!!!!!!! The German flannel sheets are the worst.

love it!
from Des Moines, IA,  Dec 17, 2009

This is our 2nd down blanket and we love it!!! Its thin enough to use in the summer time AND at the same time, warm enough to use during these super cold Iowa winters. Great price too! At first the material was a little "crinkly" but now its softened after being on the bed!
