I researched feather beds thoroughly before deciding to purchase this one. To anyone purchasing a feather bed, whether you decide to go with this one or not, be aware of the following: 1. You will need a feather bed cover, or the feathers will poke out of the bed like little needles. This feather bed comes with a cover, and I have never been poked. 2. Feather beds that are baffled will keep the down in place. Feather beds that don't have baffles allow the down to shift and clump awkwardly. This feather bed is baffled and keeps the down in place very well. 3. All feather beds will make your mattress higher, so be prepared to use fitted sheets with deep pockets in order to accommodate the added bulk of your mattress. I ordered the 320 thread count sheet set in mineral blue and the pockets worked beautifully with the feather bed. 4. Feather beds tend to be smaller than the mattress they are designed to fit. That is, a Queen-size feather bed will not cover an entire Queen mattress. Therefore, ORDER A KING SIZED FEATHER BED FOR A QUEEN SIZE BED! I ordered this bed in King size for my Queen bed and it covers the bed perfectly (no extra feather bed hanging over an edge, but also no area left uncovered). 5. Feather beds will need to be fluffed after a few nights sleeping on them. The down gets pressed down a bit. It's still comfortable, but not as cloud-like, if you don't lift the corners off the fitted sheet and fluff the feather bed up. This feather bed is no exception--be prepared for the occasional fluff. Overall, I'm extremely happy to have purchased a feather bed, and this feather bed specifically had all of the qualities I was looking for. I recommend it highly.

I put this featherbed on my mattress and never wanted to get out of bed again! Its like sleeping on a cloud...so cozy and soft!! Had I known it was going to feel like this, I would have purchased one a long time ago. I also received my purchase sooner than I expected and will definitely shop here again. Way to go O!!

I researched and read these reviews and thought I am going to trust these reviews and I am going to order this.I purposely came back here tonight to write this up for anyone who is considering purchasing this featherbed who may have ANY DOUBT. ORDER IT NOW .The sooner the better so you can start experiencing what my family is here.Heaven sent! First let me tell you that it is 22 pounds I bought the king size for my queen sized bed it goes over a little but PERFECTLY it is so fluffy,does not slide off the bed at all.The cover over the featherbed itself is a high count high end cotton, no feathers poke through NONE!The zippered cover is smooth and high count cotton quality.These have been the first nights my daughter has slept through the night with me in 3 years.I have had back surguries and this is the first real sleep I have had in over 7 years.Trust me you will LOVE IT. Oh and the zipper on the beautiful soft cover just glides like butter so smoothly.YOU WILL NOT REGRET THIS PURCHASE I am thrilled.I bought 3 and want to purchase 2 more.An answered prayer.Like sleeping on support and being in a light fluffy cloud but supported.No pokes no odor without the cover is fine with the cover is DREAMY.Thank you so much overstock for making this available to me.it came in 6 days.

We stayed in one of the upscale hotels that had a featherbed and I was so impressed. We decided to order one but first checked the price at Overstock! It was the same brand as the hotel at less than half the price. This is a wonderful product and a great buy!!

I have had feather beds before, and they were aweful. Feathers poking out all over and smelly etc. This one is not! I pulled it out of the box, and let it air out (so so important b/c they do smell a bit), the smell came out, and it was so thick I almost couldn't get my sheet around it. The feathers hold the air really well and I have been able to sleep about 1 to 1 1/2 weeks without re-fluffing. The cover to the bed is so nice, easy to get on, washable, and I haven't gotten poked by one feather yet! ...oh, and I've oversletp my alarm 2 times since getting it - just to let you know how comfy it is!!

Don't buy this if you want to sleep in luxurious comfort. (yes, initially there are NON-SMELLY "feathers" that you can feel under the cotton of the bed- but when you put the COVER over the bed - perfection!) I'm totally hooked on this stinkin' featherbed. Now, it's difficult to get out of bed- not because of stiff joints (like before) but because I'M TOO COMFORTABLE AND JUST DON'T WANT TO GET OUT OF BED! From the initial purchase to the rapid delivery to opening this bugger up and negotiating the very soft, high quality cover - over this KING sized feather bed (that was hilarious - but worth the effort) - the experience was just great. Then - putting new flannel sheets OVER bed - fitted sheet has deep pockets - made this bed a dream. No kidding, I've gotta get some work done around here... but I can't - don't want to- get out of bed. I'd buy one for my 16 year old, but I'm afraid his A+ grade average would suffer...(he wouldn't want to leave bed, either...) Thanks, Overstock - thank you very much...

I'm new to down and feather bedding so if you know exactly what your looking for and have tryed every down and feather peice out there then read this with with that in mind. As far as i know this bed is just wonderful... its fluffs up so nicely and the cover is a nice thickness. I have layed in it and its really like laying on a cloud as far as I can tell. Nothing sharp or pokey and springs right back to life. Excellent! another pleased purchase from overstock!

This featherbed is great, I didn't realize how comfortable it could be, I have to have a very firm mattress but this has made it great, very comfy easy to fluff up.

Love this. I bought it to compensate for the cheap "firm" mattress I bought. It feels like I'm sleeping on a cloud. Does need to be fluffed every couple of days, but so what. . I bought a king size for a queen sized bed and there is overlap, but get deep pocket sheets and no problem

This featherbed was everything I expected it to be. The materials are of excellent quality and the feathers don't poke through. It is very warm and allows me to snuggle down into the bed and sleep great. The only way it could be better is if it fluffed itself.

Last November, I bought one of these feather beds for my friend who has a minor back problem. She LOVES it and her back hasn't hurt since. No matter how nice (or not so nice) your bed is now, this feather bed will make it 100% better! The cover that comes with the feather bed is wonderful and a big bonus. You can peel it off and wash it whenever you want. I can't think of one negative thing to say about this feather bed. It's definitely a must-have! And unless other feather beds, it doesn't have any funny smells. Not one word here is an exaggeration!

While the bedding itself is good, it is 6" too short. We ordered the Cal King for our Cal King sized bed and the label on the tag says that it is a Cal King and is 75" X 87" our bed is 72" X 84". It should more than cover.

This was a great purchase for the money. Slept great. Did NOT want to get out of bed after the first night, I was that comfortable. I also purchased the down-top cover, for extra comfort (Total 140.98 with shipping, I almost bought JUST the featherbed for $175) It does come with a decent cover, like a good sheet. I am delighted!

This featherbed is wonderful!! I have not had any problems with the feathers poking through the cover. The price is well worth it and the delivery was excellent. I would recommend this bed to anyone!! Thanks overstock!!

This is a great featherbed for a great price. The only suggestion I have is to buy a size bigger than your bed. We have a queen size bed and I purchased the king size. It hangs over on the edge a little but it covers better than a queen would have. It was a little short at the end, but I beleive it was because it is square for a king size. I was very hesitant to purchase from here and this product, but very pleased that I did!

I love the feeling of jumping into bed at night and falling quickly to sleep! That's why I bought this featherbed. It is really comfortable, like sleeping on a cloud. However, I took some stars away for two reasons: (1) for the first time in my life, I have had chronic allergies to down, and (2) there is quite a bit of maintenance to keep it fluffed. Although I've slept with down products my entire life, my allergies seemed out of control within just a few weeks of using this featherbed. After months of allergies / sickness, I finally replaced it with a down alternative and my allergies have subsided. As far as fluffing is concerned, it's necessary to fluff this featherbed about twice a week to maintain it's comfort. Also, it runs small, and my queen-size mattress is exposed by a few inches length & width, even when the featherbed is flattened.

I don't know how so many people could possibly give this 5 stars. I went by the reviews and ordered this for our queen RV bed mattress, which is a stiff piece of foam. It looks wonderful on the bed, but as soon as you sit or lay on it, it goes totally flat to the point you can feel the mattress under you. When you get off the bed, the section you laid on stays perfectly flat until you fluff it. This product is a bunch of fluff that falls flat on performance! It came in a rather large box and I didn't want to spend the money on return postage, so I am trying to resell it myself locally.

This is the best money i have spent in forever! Based on reviews on many feather beds about one not being quite enough poof, we purchased 2 feather beds from overstock to layer to make sure we had enough cush: this one and the Overfilled Down-on-top Featherbed. Soooooo glad we did! The feather bed had none of the chemical smell sometimes found in tightly packed feather products, fluffed up in a few hours, fit our queen size ikea mattress just fine, and so far (2+ weeks now) has stayed in place with no shifting. We fluff it every night before jumping (literally!) into bed by just flicking and shaking it much like you would a comforter to make your bed and so far it's stayed fluffy and soft. The feathers definitely flatten down considerably where you are laying over night, but fluff right back up with some shaking. But even flattened down they are soft and, for me, have provided major relief for pressure points i usually have problems with laying down. The topper fluffs up around you providing support for your arms and legs. I know it sounds cliche, but it really is quite cloud like. ;) I typically wake up with a really stiff lower back, aches in my hips and legs, and horribly kinked up neck. So much that most nights i don't sleep but in short spurts. Since we've had the feather beds i have only woken up with a stiff neck or legs after a day of gardening, and have slept straight through the night pretty much every night. The very first night i noticed a difference as i slept all through the night and woke up with no stiffness in my lower back or neck. It was pretty amazing. My husband is also quite pleased with our giant poofy princess bed of clouds. :) (as are our cats whom i'm pretty sure think we've done this for them)

I ordered this as a gift for my fiance. It arrived as expected within a week! It was almost like buying a gift for myself too! It makes sleeping so much more fun with how much cusion it adds to the mattress. The zippered cover even has the elastic bands to hold the feather bed in place, which is an even bigger plus! This product is definitely worth the money!

I purchased this set due to all the positive reviews, but all I can say is that I received a product that was very different from the good reviews. Despite fluffing and fluffing and fluffing, my featherbed is not very soft nor cushy nor dreamy at all. Now that it has been used for a couple weeks, I am getting poked by feathers even through the cover, which is not relaxing, let me tell you. I have no idea why the product I received was so different from others' positive experiences. Either I just got a bum one, or the company has changed something about what they're doing, and the quality of these is now much lower. I didn't return it because it's a large item, in a very large box, and it was just too much hassle, but now I regret keeping it. :-(
