I have this quilt set for over two years and it is indestrucible. It is not fluffy and doesn't weight a ton so you can use it throughout the seasons. I've washed my countless times with no fading or fraying whatsoever. I had kids jump on it, dogs lay on it, etc and the fabric remains perfect. Also, does not bleed to other materials.Read More
I got did for my guest room, however once it arrived I passed my to the guest room and used to all summer into the fall. The quality is good and the colors true to the pictures. The pillowcases made tied made festive and country style.Read More
Ordered Quilt in a Queen for guest room. Wall color is golden wheat and this quilt has same color in the design. Overall color is a reddish rust but has blues and greens in paisley print side. I have paired it with a light green bed skirt and they look great together! Quilt is reversible but reverse looks a bit early American. Ample size and bed is a breeze to make. Haven't used shames as the quilt size is long enough for nice folded tuck under pillows for a well made bed. Definitely recommend.Read More
sad they are out of stock because it is beautiful and I love mine sooooo much. Wish they had pillows to offer with it...besides the shams.Read More
This bed set is HIGHLY FLAMABLE...even a hot light bulb coming into contact with it will cause a fire WATCH OUT!!!!Read More
Last summer, I got a white Trousseau quilt from Overstock that is beautiful, thick, and luxurious and I absolutely fell in love with it! This winter, I decided to order another quilt that had richer colors to replace the white quilt during the fall/winter. Since the Trousseau quilt did not come in a richer fall color, I ordered the Moroccan Spice quilt set. While the colors are pretty nice, the Moroccan quilt in no way resembles the quality , beauty and comfort of the Trousseau quilt. The Moroccan quilt is a lot thinner, stiffer and cheaper looking and not comfortable at all. And I believe it even cost more! I should have returned it, but I'm hoping maybe after washing a few times it will improve, but no way would I take my Trousseau quilt off the bed. We still sleep under it and I use the Moroccan quilt for a splash of color on top of it during the day. Overall, not impressed and a bit disappointed, since I love the Trousseau quilt so much. I'll probably continue my search for the perfect fall/winter quilt next October, but I'll be a lot more careful.Read More
I had fair warning from other reviewers that the colors on this quilt were actually brighter than one might anticipate. My bedroom walls are 'Pompeii Orange', and, upon reading the quilt described as 'pumpkin' - I thought - ' I can live with that'. - and ordered. So my dismay upon opening the quickly shipped package was tempered with minimized expectations. The colors are indeed bright - a true, deep orange, with no browns but lots of yellow tones - think over-ripe peach - and an accent of lime-green throughout the paisley pattern. The pattern itself is gorgeous, though, and the quilt of good quality - I sought a solution. Which I found in two bottles of dark brown RIT dye. I soaked and agitated the quilt and shams for forty minutes, rinsed with cold water, and threw it in the dryer. Two hours later, I had a beautiful, muted toned, luxe and antique looking quilt that washed and dried so well it feels a distant cousin to the one I opened hours before. A lot of trouble for a new item, right? I gave it five stars because it replaced a quilt that I paid more than four times as much for, and this one, now, is more soft and beautiful. I love it.Read More
I have to say that this time I was very disapointed. I really like reading the reviews before making a decision and I feel like I either got the last one (because now I see it is out of stock) or just a really poor one. The colors were actually DRAB. Not really orange, rust, or red. Just a mixed version of those colors with no life to it at all. It looks MUCH better on my monitor than in real life. It is very stiff and thin. I wish I would have listened to the reviewers that were negative. I thought I would give it a chance though because the over all ratings were pretty high. Don't make the same mistake!Read More
I bought this quilt set for my sister. We took it out of the bag and put it right on her bed, the colors looked great, like pictured, the weight felt right. My concern is whether it will wash well...we will have to wait to see. Over all I am very please with my purchase.Read More
This was a good quilt for the price. It fits a king sized bed by using a dust ruffle that is not included. The color pictured was accurate. Pleased with this product.Read More
Questions & Answers
Hello goofer88, This quilt set is made in China. Thank you for shopping with us!
This appears more "coral" in color...not red. Which is it?
"Coral" is the correct answer from this qualified lexicographer (Merriam Webster, Oxford English Dictionary). Keeping in mind that, apart from the many colors, tones, and shades seen in the various species of natural corals, historically, the color known as "coral" can vary from weak pink, through strong salmon, to scarlet (the latter color, being slightly orangy and less saturate, differs significantly from true red). That said, and worded in popular parlance, there are numerous salmon-colored areas in this fabric's pattern, as well as near-equal amounts of scarlet. Hence, the addition of salmon-colored toss pillows immediately heightens the overall "coral" effect, even as subsequent washings of this quilt's cotton fabric progressively weakens or softens the scarlet and diminishes the impression of redness. Clearly, "coral" is the answer.
The red and orange are predominant colors in the quilt, however, the allover appearance with those two is coral.
I would say it is more towards the coral with a brick tone. I like it very much.
It is definitely not red. I guess coral/deep orange is the description I would probably use.
Most definitely coral!
size deminsions of moraccan spice queen size quilt
The dimensions of this quilt are 88 inches (W) x 92 inches (L). The shams are 20 inches (W) x 26 inches (L).
The size was just as stated, but I have a king sized bed and would have loved for it to be oversized. However, it is just right when you buy a bedskirt to go with it.
How to Display a Quilt
Quilts are more than just bedding: They're also gorgeous pieces of art that can be used to decorate your home. A quilt makes a space seem warm and homey, and it's not hard to learn how to display quilts. By following these steps, you'll be showing off your quilts in no time.
Popular Types of Quilts
Out of all the bedding made, quilts may be the most diverse. Quilts are produced in all kinds of colors, patterns, sizes, styles and types. If you're looking for a quilt but don't know where to start, take a look at the popular types of quilts below to learn more about this beautiful kind of bedding. Amish quilts: These beautiful quilts reflect the Amish way of living and feature solid colors, deep hues, geometric patterns and very little embellishment. Amish quilts contain the highest quality of construction and stitching, and, sometimes, the wonderful stitch patterns (scrolls, feathers) contrast with the simple backgrounds of their quilts. Applique quilts: These quilts use a French needlework technique where fabric pieces are sewn onto another piece of material to create a design. Applique is used extensively in the quilting process and is not to be confused with patchwork. Patchwork pieces are joined together; applique is sewn on top of the whole piece. Baltimore album quilts: Baltimore album quilts came from Maryland in the early 1800s. Each block in the design of these quilts is appliqued differently, often in ornate floral patterns. Bangladeshi quilts: These quilts are made with layers of Saree cloth. Saree cloth is silk cloth used by women of India to wrap and fold around the body as a garment. The cloth is usually 40 to 60 inches wide by 6 yards long. These quilts are used as bedding or as decorative pieces. Bargello quilts: Bargello quilts are created with offset squares in an up-and-down geometric "V" pattern. The small squares of different fabrics and the colorful designs make these quilts true works of art. Hawaiian quilts: Hawaiian quilts are not pieced, and they usually showcase a large, symmetrical applique in the center of the quilt. Most often the background is white or another solid color. Patchwork quilts: Patchwork quilts are constructed of many small pieces of fabric which are put together in an improvised or irregular pattern. This is a well-known quilt style, and examples of historical patchwork quilts are found in many museums. Ralli quilts: Ralli quilts, sometimes known as rilli quilts, are traditional quilts made in India or Pakistan. There is an abundance of embroidery as well as applique on the patchwork patterns. Star quilts: Star quilts are created with a large star shape, or several star shapes, dominating the pattern. Wedding ring quilts: Wedding ring quilts are crafted in a design of interlocking rings. This pattern goes far back in history: in the fourth century it was used to decorate drinking cups in Rome. Wedding ring quilts are highly popular and make wonderful wedding gifts. If you're looking for a gift to please an engaged couple, you can't go wrong with a wedding quilt. Bedding always makes a significant gift for the bride and groom, and a quilt with coordinating Egyptian cotton sheets can be even better. View All Quilts Back to Guides Directory View All Quilts
