I ordered 2, expecting to have an extra set of pillow shams. and some extra fabric to tie into custom window treatments. I sent one back since I was expecting the blue to be more of a royal blue, instead was closer to a cornflower blue. Fabric quality is good, however after washing, it needs some serious ironing. The dimensions are slightly smaller than a standard king comforter, but it seemed to work ok, even for the price.Read More
I bought the blue and the color is very intense and beautiful! Also, I've washed it quite a few times and the color does not seem to fade. The fabric is very soft and doesn't get wrinkly after it comes out from the washing machine. I love this duvet set!Read More
Good quality, a bit more yellow that I expected but I should have taken a clue from the color name "Banana".Read More
Well made duvet cover. I bought this to go over a new king sized down comforter for extra warmth. The fit is good. I keep it under my decorative comforter so I didn't buy it for looks or for a specific color. I feel that is a very good quality for what I was looking for. I have no regrets purchasing it and would do so again. My only criticism is that it is a little firm and stiff, but I think that will lessen with repeated washings, etc.Read More
The white is white, the stripes are visible and it fits perfectly. I will have to wait and see how the buttons hold up and how it survives washing.Read More
I travel frequently on business and have grown accustom to the high quality linens offered in finer hotels. Having never ordered bedding on line, I was hesitant to purchase the duvet cover. I did a lot of shopping around and compared both prices and quality (thread counts, etc) before placing my order. When I finally did order, the package arrived promptly and the duvet cover was in excellent condition. It is absolutely beautiful! Clean crisp lines with barely a wrinkle --- and the subtle contrast of the sheen vs matte stripes is perfectly elegant! I do wish the sides were a bit longer but I think that's simply the nature of duvets, especially with down filled comforters. The fabric is beautiful, incredibly soft and pill-free. It's even better than the hotel linens! Thank you!Read More
This duvet is a must have!!! I ordered it in July so it's the perfect weight. I've read many reviews about tc and there seems to be a little confusion about softness at higher thread counts. Rule of thumb: anything over 500 is going to be soft, however, the higher you go, the heavier the sheet will be. So, use around 500-600 in the summer months and switch out to your higher thread counts in the winter months. (800+) Also, sateen doesn't seem to wrinkle as bad as egyptian cotton. As far as all thoose wrinkles...wash in hot and dry on very hot with lots of dryer sheets and take the sheets out when they are completely dry and even hot!!! Put them on the bed immediately or fold nicely. Should do the trick!!! Throw a like colored towel in when drying sometimes helps to because of the weight of the towel and keeps the sheets from tangling on themselves. Happy shopping. Enjoy those thread counts.Read More
I was so disappointed with this purchase.I bought it in Sage Green and it was not nearly as bright and shiny as the photo.I washed it and it was even more dull. The material is flimsy and no where near 800 thread count! The feel is not soft at all. The cover sort of hangs and dosen't give off that rich look you would expect from a high quality duvet cover. I say save your money and don't buy this one as once you buy it you can't return it without a fee!!!Read More
Yes I bought 2 of these .. the blue and the white. Both arrived quickly and I was so pleased with how lovely they looked. I washed them right away in cold water and low drying and put them right on 2 down comforters (also bought on Overstock) They look lovely. They were wrinkled at first but this morning after a night's sleep they have settled into a nice smooth look. The fabric doesnt look very soft from the pictures but OHH is it. I'm so glad I bought these. Also .. the colors are almost exact to the picture for the blue and the white. The white is so crisp and clean and the blue was a brilliant royal blue. I've looked EVERYWHERE for a beautiful blue comforter or Duvet cover and I was very pleased.Read More
I just replaced my duvet cover and the Fabric is of high quality and very soft to the touch. The color in ivory is closer to an off-white and has a very cool tone. So, if you are looking for any warm tones to your bedding this would not be the color for you. Overall I think this is a good product especially for the price!Read More

Duvets vs Down Comforters
A new duvet or down comforter is a fast, easy way to change the look of your bedroom decor. These bed coverings can also keep you warm and toasty on a cold winter's night. Traditionally, the word duvet, a French word meaning "down," was interchangeable with down comforter. Today, however, when most Americans say the word duvet, they are actually referring to a duvet cover. Duvet covers are made to slip over many different types of comforters, whereas a down comforter can be used as a standalone bed covering. Bed Sheet Thread Count Fact Sheet
The thread count of bed sheets refers to the number of threads per square inch of fabric. For example, if a square inch of fabric in a 300-thread count sheet with a standard weave were examined closely, 150 vertical threads and 150 horizontal threads would be counted, for a sum total of 300. The higher the thread count, the softer and smoother the sheets will be. Thread count is an important consideration to take when choosing a new set of sheets, but it should not be used as a sole indicator of quality. Equally important in choosing a bed sheet is the type and quality of the materials used as well as the fabric's weave.
Best Duvet Covers for Each Season
For those who use duvet blankets year-round, duvet covers allow you to change patterns and color to match every season. Along with the decor of the bedroom, a duvet cover may enhance the ambiance of the entire room or supply it with rich colors and textures for the ultimate comfort factor. If you purchased an expensive duvet, covering it throughout the year will keep it in good shape and allow you to wash it without compromising the batting. Look below to learn the best duvet covers for each season. Spring: Once the evenings start warming up, lighter fabrics like satin provide sheen and style to any bedroom. Satin duvet covers are most often comprised of fabrics like nylon, rayon or silk to provide durability as well as comfort. For spring, lighter colors, including pastels or variations of cream and beige, brighten the room. Summer: During warm summer nights, cotton duvets are one of the most common fabric choices. Light and airy, cotton is also easy to clean and comes in virtually every color and pattern. For the summer season, try a white duvet cover, which will make the room appear more open and spacious. A cotton blend that contains polyester is also an ideal choice for summer, because it is soft, requires simple washing and does not wrinkle. Fall: For the fall season, a duvet cover that is warm enough for intermittent chilly nights is an ideal choice. Microsuede duvet covers offer a soft feel to bedding and come in a variety of colors. This material is easy to care for and machine washable. For fall, choose earthy colors like beige, brown, dark green or burgundy for a seasonal look. Winter: A luxurious duvet cover is a favorite option for warmth during the winter months. Velvet is a soft fabric that comes in a variety of rich colors and provides plenty of insulation for cold nights. The luxurious texture looks good in any style of room decor. For winter months, choose deep, rich colors like burgundy, plum, forest green or chocolate to enhance the room. View All Duvet Covers Back to Guides Directory View All Duvet Covers
