I purchased this pillow because I heard that the gel would help keep you cool. It really didn't. It is a very firm pillow and hard to sleep on your side with. I have neck problems and thought this pillow would help support it, but after 3 months of use I went back to my old latex foam pillow.

these pillows were very inexpensive and I can see why. They claim to be memory foam, but the memory effort is less than a quarter second, almost instant. They are very firm. The first couple of nights of sleeping on this pillow resulted in a backache the following day, thats because I'm used to a softer and shallower pillow. Also they smell like latex (because they are latex foam)

This 4" memory foam pillow is the absolute best pillow - esp. for me anyway. I am very short (just under 5' tall). I sleep on a mattress with a generous 4" memory foam top and the 4" pillow allows me to sleep on my back and not have my chin on my chest from a pillow that is too thick. It is also very soft and unlike other memory foam pillows it is also ventilated. Also, I like our bedroom cool and most memory foam pillows are too hard in a cooler room. Not this one. If you are a taller person or are a side sleeper I would suggest using the 6" version of this - also available at Overstock. When I sleep on my side, I put my 4" latex pillow under it and the combination is great, too. Thanks Overstock for bringing in this 4" version. Or for travel, you can roll it up and stash it in your bag. I am going to try the 6" one also.

It's a standing joke in our family about my search for the perfect pillow. It has become legendary. There are dozens of dead pillows stuffed in closets around the house! Due to a serious car accident in my youth my neck is very delicate and has a reduced range of motion and just generally needs lots of support. I have spent up to $160 on a single pillow in hopes of sleeping through the night without waking up to adjust and rearrange my pillow. I doubt I could tolerate the warm side of the pillow (I am pretty hot natured) and have so have only used the cool. side. But so far, 3-4 weeks now, the pillow has provided very good support. The weight of the latex makes it more substantial than most pillows so it does not tend to wander off during the night and provides enough support that my neck does not get into a painful bind that wakes me up for repositioning. Also, the headaches that are due to neck strain have virtually vanished. Not only would I buy another one, I already have!

I purchased this because a physician suggested that a wedge pillow would be helpful for me. This one is of adequate width and does go from a zero percent incline to a rise of a few inches. It took me a while to adjust to sleeping on it. I use a regular latex pillow on top of it. It is useful for the reason it was suggested to me. It arrived quickly and was ready to use right away. There was no odor to it.

This pillow is wonderful. I grew up with latex pillows and havent been able to find anything that compared them until now. I highly recommend these. I didnt have a problem with smell like some reviewers have mentioned.

Nice pillow, seems well made. Because, I was undecided about firmness I bought one of these and one of the latex pillows. I like both, the latex is more soft and cheaper than the memory foam but I am happy with both. I like having a choice at night. This pillow seems well priced compared to most memory foam pillows. If I had it to do over again, I would buy both of these pillows again.

Over the years, I have purchased down, latex & memory foam pillows. The formerly purchased memory foam pillow have had both contoured and regular shapes. I have been on a pillow quest for years because I am basically a side sleeper and I awaken with a painful stiff neck and occasionally an headache because of my pillows plus my sleeping movement. Recently, my neckpain and headaches have worsened and I was unable to sleep on my left side because I would immediately experience neck pain an headache. I started a seach for another memory foam pillow and carefully read each review and examined the pillow photos. Finally based on the review by missedith from WI. I made the decision to purchase the Dream Foarm Dual Comfort Memory Foam Pillow. It is an amazing pillow, it is softer than other memory foam pillows which I have purchased yet it provides enough support for my head and neck. I no longer have neck pain and headaches and I can sleep on my left side without neck and head discomfort. This pillow is a shorter length than most pillow which is also an advantage. I have awaked occasionally on my back and the pillow still provides neck & head support. I think the the indentation is an excellent feature. I waited before writing this review because I wanted to make sure that it alleviated my neck and head discomfort and it has. Based on my positive experience, I would gladly recommend this pillow to family and friends.

I'm not a doctor, just a person with a herniated disk in their neck. I had a thin latex pillow for years which finally gave up the ghost and I have purchased 5 or six pillows over the last year, trying to find one that allowed my head to rest in neutral position, not cocked up at an angle, causing my neck to spasm and make my night miserable. During a massage therapy session, my therapist placed a "memory foam" pillow under my head as turned onto my side. I new immediately that I had to get one. I ordered this pillow set based on price and reviews. Thy arrived in a single box, and in a plastic bag. I let them sit in the open for a few hours after opening and they regained their proper shape. After just a few nights of getting used to the density and which edge to place under my neck for the best support, I was sleeping well on them and now really appreciate and enjoy the comfort and "fit" they provide. No more waking up wincing, flopping around trying to make the fat, non-conforming pillows I had been using into something they weren't. There may be better memory foam pillows, but based on the reviews I've read, it doesn't appear so, without sending much, much more.

The pillow is a little hard at first, but after a few minutes of laying on it every night it feels comfortable and it has definitely helped with neck problems which is why I purchased this pillow in the first place. I was surprised that my husband wanted to try the extra pillow because he has always loved a latex foam pillow and he has said it has helped his back not hurt as much by morning. I have slept better since using this pillow as compared to my previous pillow.

Granted these pillows are about half the size of a standard pillow, the extra size is not much missed, since they are very comfortable and I find myself not moving much while laying on them. I switch between these and an older full size Latex foam pillow and love both.

I was very hesitant to try something new, having used latex foam pillows most of my life. I kept catching myself with my neck in absolutely terrible positions at night which only exacerbated my chronic neck pain from an auto accident. The very first night I used the memory from pillow, I could really tell the difference. The pillow is comfortable for me in either side and my neck and spine stay in proper alignment. If you're thinking about purchasing this pillow, don't wait any longer!

If the pillow was not more than 2" thicker than advertised, it would probably be good. I was out of town during the return period so I missed that option. I'm probaly going to try reducing the thickness myself with a knife and see what happens.

I have been trying lots of different latex and memory foam pillow because I have degenerative disk disease in my neck. After 4 other pillows, I use this one. It's not to high, not to low, it doesn't get too hot and beautifully cradles my neck and aligns perfectly to the height of my shoulders. I'm a side sleeper mostly and this pillow allows me to sleep uninterrupted by neck pain.

Here's why: This pillow is deceiving by the way it looks in the photo. It is a very dense, very supportive and a somewhat springy type of memory foam that resembles latex products. The ventilation holes may lead you to believe it is mushy and cuddly as I was expecting it to be. The size is true to its description and turned out to be too tall for my shorter neck due to the resilient nature of the foam pushing back instead of cradling. There was no more than the usual faint memory foam odor with this pillow as some other memory foam products off gas terribly. All in all, it is a very good pillow for someone with a longer neck or a side sleeper with large shoulders who is looking for taller, firmer support.
Mon May 26 00:00:00 MDT 2014darkemeralds Rating:4.0
This pillow is heavy and dense, with a firm but cushy, supportive gel layer. It comes encased in two removable and washable zipped cases. It fills up a standard pillowcase nicely. It's surprisingly cool to sleep on. Note that the gel support panel is only on one side. The other side seems to be standard memory foam. The only reason I'm docking one star is that it has a slight latex-y smell that so far hasn't dissipated after a week's use (and several hours outdoors on clothesline. The odor MAY be decreasing slightly and I hope it will clear up altogether, but if you are sensitive to that type of odor, this pillow certainly won't be for you before several days' serious airing.

I have Fibromyalgia and Migraines, so I am in pain a lot and don't sleep well. I also co-sleep with, and nurse, my one year old daughter. So it's really hard to get comfortable. I usually go to bed with about three other pillows, and end up tossing, turning, throwing at least one of them on the floor, and bunching another one up under my neck to try to get comfortable through the night. I bought this pillow and didn't think I would like it anywhere near as much as I do. I figured I'd give it a shot. When I first opened the pillow, I wasn't thrilled. It looked flat! I remember saying "Well, that's pretty crappy!" But I put the pillow in one of the pillow cases I had gotten with my new duvet cover, (which I also LOVE) and I put it on my bed. A little while later, I noticed it had puffed up quite a bit and thought, "Well, that's more like it." When I went to bed that night, I was surprised to feel that this pillow was the most comfortable pillow I had EVER slept on! It isn't so soft that it doesn't provide support. It is kind of firm, but in such a comfortable way! Now I only have TWO pillows on my bed, the bolster pillow (which badly needs replacing, that I keep at the head of my bed, just to keep my other pillows from "scooching" up and going between my mattress and headboard), and my Better Snooze Pillow. I had actually ordered another pillow along with it, a foam latex one, because the last pillow I had that I liked very much was foam latex. I decided before I even recieved that new pillow that I wanted to return it and order another one of THESE pillows, instead, so that I will have a matching set and my little girl, who usually uses my arm for her pillow, can use it if she wants to. Overstock.com was so great about the return.

The pillow is very well made and if someone was looking for a flatter pillow I would have no problem recommending it. My issue is that the photos seem to make it look 3 inches thicker than the pillow I received. Got this to replace an old latex pillow because of a neck injury and it looks like I will continue looking for that replacement

I thought this would be like normal "Memory Foam". After all, that is what the pillow is called. It is NOT. It is much firmer and does not sink very well to the pressure when you lay your head on it. It easily qualifies for a firmish pillow. I would recommend going with a latex if you are looking for pillow comfort. This is not it. Unfortunately I grabbed two of them.... because they were on sale. They are also very thick, so it makes it difficult to use them as an under pillow with a softer one on top. I may look for a two inch square of REAL Memory Foam to lay on top of one of these to make a viable pillow. That might work.

Bare with this long review. I hope it covers any/all issues. Some people have remarked about the smell from the foam or the flat cool gel bubbles. I noticed a slight smell but I don't now. I used them the first night with only their pillow cover and a pillow case on them from night one. I smell nothing that would bother most and I have a sensitive nose. The cool gel is nice! If you're a woman going through menopause (or just a hot head), it really helps, a lot. I worried I would feel the flat bubbles, but didn't need an additional cover plus my pillow case. Adding to their cover might take away from the gel, but I will try an additional cover later. I doubt it will matter. And unlike other latex and such that I've bought.. they fit standard cases wonderfully! Now... I wish I had found these years ago. I've spent as much as these cost, on batted pillows that lose their shape within the first year. If you have neck problems or just need a pillow to give support where you put your head and tuck into shoulder/neck area or sleep with pillow just beneath shoulder area, they've been wonderful for me. And my neck and spine is a mess from being rear ended by morons. The Best Pillows, I've ever used. I no longer fight and struggle to find comfort or a spot that doesn't cause more pain. The cool gel bubbles, just an added plus, You can remove them for cleaning. I hope this helps with those afraid to spend the extra money. They are worth it (slept through the night (without waking once) for 5 days). If not for cat.. A record for someone with sleep disorders and comfort issues. Highly recommend to anyone, with or without neck/spine, sleep disorder and other issues.
