I love this pillow!!!!! I was suffering from terrible headaches. They went away after I started using this pillow. I plan on purchasing a couple more of them.

I cannot say that I love this pillow. The smell was hardly noticeable when I took it out out of the packaging, and it was not nearly as bad as anticipated. The foam does conform quite nicely to my ears when I sleep on my side. That said, it is very, very firm. Maybe my head just isn't heavy enough to make the foam compress to a comfortable angle laying on my back, but at least I know it'll hold up for awhile, eh?

These pillows by Sealy are great! Medium to firm memory foam. Took my neck pains away!

I've had this pillow for about a month or so. I'm really enjoying it, although it does take a few days to get used to. If this pillow holds up (i.e. the memory foam doesnt' lose its memory), it gets an excellent rating and I'd buy another!

i bought both the 4 inch and the 6 inch bamboo pillow. im a side sleeper with an average size noggin. my ear to shoulder length is 6 inches. I start asleep on my back then turn to my side for the night. I chose the 6 inch. now there are differences in the 2 pillows. the 6 inch: feels very fluffy with good support for the head and neck. great for a side sleeper. it has moderate give for the back sleeping start, meaning my head feels cupped and my neck feels supported. I can feel the memory foam layers and a fluffy fiber fill? in between which is great. the 4 inch: great for the back sleeper.. definitely more memory foam firm than the 6 inch. great head support and neck support. since I chose the 6 inch, I gave the 4 inch to my daughter who loves it. shes a back sleeper anyway. needless to say, I bought another 6 inch for my mom as a gift.

I have tried contour neck pillows in the past thirty years, but never had any luck. I let this pillow air from the packaging about 8 hours. There was no odor and I was able to sleep on this pillow 24-hours after it arrived and every night since. It's firm but has enough give to make it comfortable sleeping either on my back or on my side. No morning neck pain! This is a great buy!

The pillow is very well made. I didn't expect it to be so firm and that is due to the memory gel pads that are inside the pillow. It is comfortable for elevating the legs too.

I ordered 2 sets of king sized pillows. For memory foam they are a little on the firm side which surprised me because I have a standard memory foam pillow which has a softer feel than these pillows. We just got a new bed and my husband wanted to put memory foam pillows on it this time. He's not used to how heavy they are but I think he'll eventually adjust, I'm used to that. They are a little firmer than the regular memory foam pillows which I'm trying to adjust to. I think they'll work out fine once we're used to them. They do support your head & neck nicely. My other memory foam pillow is a standard size so having king sized is an adjustment but I do like them! If you're used to think soft fluffy pillows you won't like these. In fact they look flat but once you're laying on them they don't feel as flat as they look. Also memory foam pillows are heavy so be prepared for that, I think they weigh about 2 lbs. a piece. These pillows are not supposed to get wet and my husband sweats a lot especially in the summer, so we'll see how they hold up to that over time. I'll post again if this becomes a problem. So far, after sleeping on them a week, I think they'll work out fine.

I bought a pillow from my Chiropractor to help with my sore neck and quit using it after about a year, due to the fact that it was just not a good sleep. Upon going back to my old pillow, my neck problems surfaces again. After sleeping on this pillow, I am glad that i made this purchase. These pillows are firm, yet they do what they are suppose to do as far as giving you a comfortable nights sleep, while supporting your neck.

The pillows are well made and are still in use every night. I had to air them out for several days to rid the odor of chemical treatment, but once done they are free of odor and are comfortable. They support my neck and shoulders and allow me a good night's sleep

It was worth what we paid. This is a great brand of pillow. We had bought another one kind of like this but it is purple. Love this pillow! Very supporrive of the neck and now we don't have so much tension/pain in our shoulders. Worth it!

I've used this pillow for a couple of weeks now and am very satisfied with it. I realize this type of pillow isn't for everyone, but I am a side sleeper, and it stabilizes my neck and helps prevent headaches. It is firm enough but not hard. Most pillows like this do not stay firm for more than six months or so, but I hope I have a winner here. Only time will tell.

This is something to try in a store before buying, I think. For my taste, the supportive part - the memory foam - was a little thin. Its about 60:40 soft pillow to memory foam. So someone who likes a really soft pillow, but is having neck issues and needs a little support, you might rate it excellent. Someone who wants some firm support in their pillow should look elsewhere. Hard to give ratings on this sort of thing because its such a personal preference.

I never had neck or back problems but my husband did so I ordered these pillow for him to try. Since (2) came in a set I thought I would try one out. I like it but my husband does not as he says they are too small. He is a large man and needs a larger one.

I have rested my head on this pillow every night since the package arrived. This top quality product is fairly priced and includes a removable zipper cover. The package arrived at my front door a sturdy box safe and sound, just like a good nights rest.

This pillows are excellent. They are not as thick or firm as some of the contour pillows, yet they are not the softest either (perhaps "medium" describes them well). Yet, they are soft and thin enough for someone who sleeps mostly on their stomach, and still provides plenty of neck support that a regular pillow would not.

I've been using memory foam contour pillows for years because I have a herniated neck disc and these are the only pillows that keep me pain free. I'd bought a new one last winter that is very, very firm, which I prefer for the support. But I also began menopause and the memory foam seemed to retain heat and worsen the effects of the night sweats. The cool gel does work, the pillow does not retain heat from my body the way a plain memory foam pillow does. However, this pillow has only moderate firmness. I prefer a firmer pillow than this, but this is fine, I'll keep it. I do recommend it, especially to people like me who have Multiple Sclerosis and are sensitive to heat, and are having hot flashes due to hormonal changes.

This is a nice firm pillow. It is not very thick, and I like more head elevation so I use it with another pillow.

The key to a good night's sleep when you have chronic back pain is as simple as choosing a good pillow-top mattress. Choosing the best mattress involves knowledge of your personal needs and preferences. To get a comfortable night's sleep, start by choosing a pillow-top mattress made from the right materials for you. Next, choose your preferred thickness. Finally, have firm sleep support underneath the cushions of the pillow-top. Below, you'll learn the best pillow-top mattresses for back pain. Choose the materials: Pillow-top mattresses are made from a variety of materials, so choosing the one that is right for you can make all the difference in the world. People with muscle pain should consider down pillow-top mattresses, which provide a cocoon to sleep in. Those with back issues will generally prefer memory foam pillow-top mattresses, which conform to the body and offer consistent support to areas like the lower back. However, it is important to check the manufacturer's information regarding the recommended weight allowances for these types of pillow-tops. Consumers who are heavier than the recommendations may find that the pillow-top cushion compresses in uncomfortable ways, leaving the mattress lumpy. Determine the thickness: Pillow-top mattresses come in a variety of thicknesses, from just 2 inches to 8 or more inches deep. Like choosing the right materials for your pillow-top, choosing the right depth is vital to getting a good night's sleep. Thinner pillow-top mattresses will allow more of the support from the remainder of the mattress to come through and will not develop body indentations as pronounced as those in a deep pillow-top. Pillow-top mattresses that are too soft may fail to provide back support and cause an increase in back pain. However, deep pillow-top mattresses are excellent for customers who suffer from fibromyalgia or other chronic pain. Check the warranty: Just as you would with any other purchases of its size, check the warranty of your pillow-top mattress. Most manufacturers will provide limited, pro-rated replacement warranties for manufacturer's defects, and some will provide a "comfort guarantee." Others may have specific conditions that must be met in order to maintain the warranty, such as having a boxed spring by the same manufacturer. Take note of any special conditions for the warranty and keep the paperwork. View All Mattresses Back to Guides Directory View All Mattresses

A mattress is one of the most important purchases you can make because you spend hours each day sleeping and rejuvenating for the next day. While shopping for a new mattress, keep in mind the typical sleeping positions you have to ensure you will find the right mattress to help with bone or joint alignment. Below, you'll learn the best mattresses for every sleeping position. Sleeping on your back: If you primarily sleep on your back, you need to find a mattress with support to prevent pain in the lower back. Sleeping on a mattress that does not have enough support causes muscle strain in the back and increases the chance you will assume a poor posture during sleep, leaving you achy in the morning. The best mattresses for this sleeping position have at least 400 to 800 14-gauge coils. Innerspring mattresses feature firm coils to support the back yet still mold to the curvature of the spine. Mattresses with box springs are ideal for those who sleep on their backs because they stabilize weight, offering back support and increasing the life of the bedding. Sleeping on your stomach: While sleeping on your stomach is comfortable, it also increases pressure and strain on parts of the body like the neck or back. Soft mattresses are the best for those who sleep on their stomachs. Look for mattresses that have 300 to 400 14-gauge coils, which will ensure the mattress is soft and comfortable. If you must use a pillow, look into buying a memory foam style, which molds to the head and neck to stabilize them during sleep. Sleeping on your side: Side sleeping is one of the most common positions on a mattress, and it may also be one of the hardest positions to shop for. Since you lay on your side, there is pressure on the shoulders and hips, which could make a firm mattress uncomfortable for sleeping. A mattress that is too soft is often not supportive enough to keep the spine in proper alignment. The ideal mattress for this position is one that has supportive coils, with a memory foam topper to provide comfort to the joints of the body.
