I liked the firmness of this memory foam topper and was glad I didn't go with anything less dense or thinner. Out gassing took too long and I ended up having to leave the windows open for a few days otherwise I would wake up with a headache. Not good. The size did not fit my Futon exactly and I ended up ordering a king and cutting it down with a long blade utility knife to fit, which worked pretty well. Have had for about a year now and it seems to hold up pretty well and is still very comfortable for my taste, although the density seems to have softened a bit where I sleep. Worked well for my situation and didn't want to purchase an expensive mattress at the time. Would buy again.

This is my second mattress topper for my bed, my last one was 5 years old or more, and I was in need of a fresh pad for more padding. This Topper was great, just what I was needing. My husband and I are now sleeping much better and through the night now. If your bed is not comfortable and you do not sleep well, then this is the mattress topper for you.

Excellent product at a good price. Our daughter took this to her college dorm and loved it! She never wants to sleep on a regular mattress without one again!

This is our second topper. The 4 in. Serta was a bit more resilient, but this one is OK. The service and delivery are quick and inexpensive.

This is the 4th Memory Foam topper I've purchased. Two twin and 2 full. Both full were the full size Serta 4 inch with pillows and they fit perfectly and Sleep wonderful! About 2 years ago I bought a twin size Serta but not a 4 inch. I think it was 3 inch and I'm already needing to replace because it has lost it's strength and my but sinks where it has worn out. I've flipped it every which away thru out these 2 years. My full has never done this. So last week I ordered a twin Serta 4 inch memory foam topper with the pillows. I put it on my bed yesterday and it's probably 6 inches too narrow! The other twin that was cheaper and only 3 inches fits the bed perfect, but this one is awful. Now what do I do, send it back? I paid more hoping to get a better deal and the description didn't say anything about not being a full twin size.

This is the third memory foam mattress topper I've purchased from Overstock.com. The first, 4" thick, was purchased over 10 years ago and we're still using it atop two twin air mattresses as our bed. The second is 1" thick. I cut two pieces off of it for my baby granddaughter's crib and changing table. That was over 8 years ago. Her mom still uses the remainder as a topper on her queen mattress. This pad, purchased a bit over a week ago, us on top of the mattress in our rv. It turned the Serta mattress that came with our rv from adequate to luxurious. It also helps keep the mattress from feeling cold (we're all-weather campers). I would highly recommend these products sold through Outlook.com over anything else on the market. They are far less expensive than even Wal-Mart, are of excellent qualitiy, and seem to last forever. Check the prices on Tempur-Pedic and when you regain consciousness after fainting, shop here. k

First time purchased Serta memory foam topper. I did not notice the smaller print that the memory foam was so thin. Instead of 4" of memory foam as this topper should be, Serta has decided to decrease the quality of this topper by using regular foam with a thin layer of memory foam on the top of it, and only on one side to boot. Even sorrier of Serta is the fact that they do not cut the king size true to the shape of a king size mattress. They cheat people out of a good 3", Good job Serta!! reducing quality in your products, charge more, and pocket the huge profits!!!

Overall it's okay. I think I would opt for the 3 inch as it doesn't feel as cushy as I would like. It also sleeps a little hot.

I ordered this for my 11 year old son and he loves it. He had been getting some back aches but no longer. He sleeps better at night and wakes more refreshed. I followed the instructions that came with the product for unwrapping it and had absolutely no problem. We did not notice any smell. I have an enclosed "outside" front porch and I let it unroll out there so it was outside, yet protected from the elements. After 24 hours I put it on his bed and no odor what so ever. My only issue is that his mattress is already rather "tall" and adding this on top of it, the sheets have a tendancy to come loose. I will have to get some more mattress straps. Glad I bought it.

The product we received is as advertised. It is 4" memory foam. It is very soft. It does have an awful smell to it but that went away after about a week. It has been 2 weeks now and there is no smell. We have a Sleep Number bed and we find it too hard to sleep on so we purchased a 4" Mattress Pad 2 years ago that was a combination of 2" memory foam plus 2" supportive foam. We have to replace it now as we woke up with shoulder pain. I thought 4" Memory foam was the answer but it is very soft and does not give any support. I am a side sleeper and my hips sink all the way through the 4" foam. In hind side, we should have probably bought another 4" mattress pad with 2" Memory foam on top and 2" firmer foam underneath. At first I had a lot of neck pain with this 4" foam as you sink in so much. After using a memory foam pillow, that has gone away now. The mattress does it's job in taking away the shoulder pain, but it is very difficult getting used to sinking in 4" and having a hard time rolling over. After this mattress, we will probably go back to the 2" memory foam with 2" supportive foam. I thought it was close to the Tempur Pedic mattress, but the IFD is too low at 12 and would need to be higher to be of any support. Time will tell how long this foam will last but my guess is max of 2 years. Don't buy this 4" Memory foam if your bed is failing as the 4" foam will just follow the indentation and will probably give you horrible back pain.

This is the 3rd foam mattress topper I have purchased for 3 different beds. Its wonderful! Save some money, don't buy a Temperpedic. This gives you the same comfort for a whole lot less!

Looking for a new topper, and found in my "History" the purchase of this one in 2007. Unsure whether the one I bought back then was same thickness & density as current product. This one is advertised as 3" thick & 4lb /cubic.ft.density, my 2007 model is a true 2.5 inches thick, and at least now, all too soft, my *guess* is that original topper (considering *very* low cost) was 3lb. In any event, used the original for about 7 years before it clearly began to lose it's supportiveness. Every foam mattress and topper sleeps hot, they sell / tell you the foam has air channels and whatnot, but eggzaktly how does that cool air get in or out?; not from the top, you're blocking it with your body, not from the bottom - the mattress or platform underneath is blocking any airflow. Must be Magik that does it. In any event this was a great buy in '07, and at the price today, still looks like a good buy for 4lb 3inch thick memory foam. ** Buy it, you'll probably really like it. :) As for me, I'm going to go with a 4" thick slab this time, and would buy 5lb foam if I could find it. BTW.. I was told by owner of a company that used to sell memory foam slabs, that the difference between "ordinary" temper foam and so called "temper~pedic" is the density per cubic foot, with the high-priced spread at 5 and 5+ pound density. 7 years isn't bad, but the higher density stuff supposedly lasts 15-20 years. .

Our last mattress topper was of the down filled style. It had become compressed over the years and was becoming uncomfortable so we thought we would try a memory foam type of topper. I looked at a lot of different toppers from different companies and discovered that there are a lot of variables that need to be chosen to get the fit that you want. The most important one is the density of the foam. My wife and I are both "portly" ~250lbs, so we wanted something firm but not TOO firm so we selected a topper with 4 lb density. It has proven to be the right choice. It is EXTREMELY comfortable. Once you get in bed, it does exactly what it says it will do....., that is support your body by conforming to your contour. We love it.....enough said. As for longevity, we have only had it for about 6 weeks so it is too early to tell but it is still flat with no sign of compression.....Although it is listed as being a Serta, it comes in a plain box from another company. It has a letter inside stating it is made by this company for Serta. Although it is irrelevant to the mattress itself, I would have thought that Serta would have assured it was packed in a Serta branded box....in order to promote brand loyalty. Just a thought....

I bought this Twin XL topper for my son's dorm bed. It is very difficult to find a mattress topper in the Twin XL size. I was glad to find this one. It is very nice and thick and met my expectation. The only issue was that it arrives in very tight plastic and there was a small black spot on it, probably from being encased in this plastic. My son really enjoys the comfort of this mattress topper.

Serta mattresses go through rigorous testing processes to make sure that the mattress you purchase will last longer and support you better than other mattresses.
