Covers the mattress? Yes. Adds any padding? No. Very thin, not what I was expecting.

It's a good value for the money. Yes I'd recommend this!

This mattress pad is very nice. We used it over our 4" memory foam mattress topper and it fit perfectly. It washed up nicely and I didn't notice any shrinking, but, the very first time I put it on our bed, my fingernail went through the side panel and tore it. Grrrrrrrrrr! I wish someone would make a mattress pad with thicker material on the sides that won't tear if you tug on it as your tucking it under your mattress. Anyway, here I am with a brand new mattress pad that I do like, but it's already torn on the side. Yes, it was my own fault, so I can't return it and get a replacement, but if you do decide to purchase this pad, just be very careful while you put it on your bed. If your fingernails are longer than the tip of your fingers (mine are rather long), make sure you don't accidentally poke the sides, because the material will tear fairly easily. Ugh.

I bought this pad in conjunction with a 3" foam mattress topper, both based on the reviews here on overstock.com. I washed this before using it - it fits snuggly and hasn't popped off once in the 5 weeks we've been using it. We haven't tested the waterproofness, but we really didn't anticipate needing that feature. :) Also, you might benefit from buying fitted sheets with "deep pockets" if you're using a topper or have an extra thick mattress. You won't need to if you have a "regular" thickness mattress -- this pad doesn't make it significantly thicker! And yes, it does make a slight "crinkly" sound - but it hasn't bothered us in the least.

Yes there is a very slight crinkle, however, the quality of the matress pad is wonderful.

I have owned dozens on mattress protectors over the years and these are BY FAR the best I've ever used! Yes, they cost a little more than the cheap, crinkly vinyl mattress protectors, but it is well worth it. The top of the protector is a little on the furry side, which is novel and feels great-- I am always tempted to take a nap on it when I change the sheets! The waterproof lining feels unlike anything else on the market. It isn't noisy, just comforting both physically AND emotionally. When this protector is on your expensive bed you feel secure in the knowledge that nothing will harm your mattress-- no more worries!. As an extra bonus, the elastic sides will accommodate even the thickest mattresses WITH an aditional comfort topper!

Yes, I just purchased this. I was pretty nervous ordering online but I was pleasantly surprised. I like the fact that it is waterproof but it doesn't feel like a plastic bag. It's really lightweight and plenty large enough for my King size bed. It's quite deep also so I think I'll purchase a memory foam topper and put it underneath the protection pad. I would definately recommend this product. The fabric on top is nice too. Although I haven't washed it yet, I expect it will do just fine in cold water. I would hesitate to put it in the dryer so I think I'll just let it air dry. I think that extends the life of any product such as this.

This matress cover is quality, quality, quality! I like the fact that it's Egyptian cotton, the very best quality. It was available at a very reasonable price. Thank you Overstock.Com! Oh, yes, shipped free to me, because I am a member of Overstock! Great value!

This is the second pad I've bought for our guest room. I liked the first one so much that I got another before they stop making them or I can't find it, which always seems to happen when you find an execellent product. This has to be the best pad I have every found and bought. You will not be disappointed. Yes, they can make a mattress pad that fits and stays in place, washes nicely and doesn't shrink and is comfortable.

It is on my spare bed which is about to be used daily. Prior to putting it on the bed i did wash it..it's water proof folks this i know. Some water was caught in a fold and when i pulled it out it got me wet. So those stories that its not water proof...oh yes it is.

I bought this Incline Mattress Topper with mixed feelings, because some reviews were negative (lingering "plastics" smell, does not fluff up properly after unpacking), but I had none of these problems. I unpacked it and placed it on a guest bed for about 2 days so the mattress could unfold properly. It IS packed very tightly and I had to struggle to get it out of its plastic bag, but after 2 days it was straight, and the smell was almost gone. I've placed it on my bed and have been very happy with it. On a flat bed I get very congested and often snored. This has much improved. I also tried wedge pillows before this, but kept sliding downwards and had neck pain the next day. I'm very happy with this product. But yes, you DO need mattress covers/sheets with very deep pockets!

The mattress pad installed very quickly and easily right out of the box. I took the recommendations of others here on overstock.com and positioned the "foot" end up at the head of my bed, where my electrical outlets are located. This worked beautifully, as the cords are out of the way and the remotes are nice and handy. I love the two-zones feature, as I like to turn my side up high to preheat the bed before I go to sleep while my husband is generally too warm to need it and chooses to leave his side off. This morning was the first frost where we live, and we both turned our zones on to warm up before getting out of bed this morning! It heats up super fast -- we just love it! Too early to tell if we'll be saving on our heating bills this winter, but I would guess yes!

Yes, Protector is the important word here. This is no ordinary mattress pad. This thing will stop water and liquids from getting to your expensive mattress and also keep allergens and mites at bay. This is really a great value for a highly recommended product.

Just bought my second Beautyrest Heated Mattress Pad to give as a gift. Imagine yourself laying on a warm beach and feeling the warmth of the sand on your back. We absolutely love the dual controls and the automatic shut-off feature. It washes up beautifully at the end of the Winter. - I recommended it to my neighbor and she finally bought one and overslept after the first night of use. YES, you will love this product.

absolutely love my purchase. It was great because I have suffered from sore neck and shoulders for months and the very first morning my hubby ask, "Well, was it worth it.?" "Yes, yes, you'd better believe it. No soreness anywhere and that's how it's been since." P**

It sounded too good to be true but we ordered tuff guard mattress protector and to our surprise it was shipped quickly and product appears to be what it is described to do. I can not tell you about the durablity after many months and multiple washes as we just bought the mattress protector. Yes it does have squeeshing sound initially but I only noticed it because I was looking for it.Wonderful product. I am thinking of buying two more within couple of months for other beds soon.

At 62 years old I've gotten sensitive to almost everything these days. I've tested this mattress pad for two weeks and I can tell you that "yes" it does keep you cooler. I must also say that I'm impressed on the quality, lesson lerned all mattress pads are not alike. Great product! .

I RECENTLY BOUGHT THIS A MONTH AGO AND I GOT A REALLY GOOD FEEL OF THE MATTRESS COVER, YES IT IS SOFT BUT IT CRINKLES UP ON THE BED WHEN YOU ARE SLEEPING AND MAKING UP IT. BUT MOST OF ALL IT DEFINITELY FITS A PILLOWTOP BED, YOU CAN ACTUALLY TUCK IT UNDER BUT IT DOES NOTHING FOR THE WRINKLE LOOK IT LEAVES ON YOUR BED.IT IS 1 0 0% WATERPROOF FOR ALL THE MOTHERS WITH SMALL KIDS!!!!

very nice..We were very satisfied with the mattress cover. What I like about it mostly is the fact that it stays on the mattress. The last one I had I had a problem with it coming off the mattress..It also in very thick witch adds to the comfort of the pad Thanks

We bought this for our guest bed and wondered if the reviews could be tree. Deep enough for our deep mattress? yes. Looks like a normal, even upscale cover? yes. Cushy and not crunchy? yes. Guests love our guest bed and we didn't want a (much-needed) waterproof cover to spoil the reviews. And it didn't . It is really great. I took points off for the fabric quality only because the sides seem very, very thin. (not the top... it's just right.) We have not yet washed it, so am not sure how the sides will hold up. I do think they make the sides thin so that the sheets will fit over, and to keep the cost down... but could be a little stronger, I'm thinking. Otherwise, PERFECT.

It really took me a long time to decide on whether or not to purchase this mattress pad. Well and obviously I did. The only concerns with it that were my initial concerns for whether or not to purchase this are if the stretchy sides would rip when stretched. They haven't yet and yes the mattress pad is made to accommodate a thick mattress pad. I didn't have any problems trying to get it to fit the mattress. They only other concern I have with it is that on the back of it there is a plasticy piece. I have only washed it once so far, but I wonder as to how many washings it can uphold before it tears, or how many times in the dryer it can handle. When felt the pastic on the back feels like it has been rubber. So "really" I am not sure what it is, and it is just fine now. I just wonder how long it can stay in tact. So my concerns are for when this is used for a kids bed. If it won't be washed much then it is an excellent purchase. And I chose not to recommend this to a friend because my questions on it still aren't answered. Once I can see how long it can last then I would decide to recommend it. Hope this helps in your decision as to whether or not to purchase this.
Bedbug problems are on the rise, and so are bedbug solutions. Mattress covers in particular are often marketed as a way to prevent or eliminate bedbug infestations. It's more than just hype: mattress covers (specially designed mattress covers that encase your whole mattress) can actually help reduce and prevent bedbug infestations. However, doing a bit of homework on mattress covers, also known as mattress protectors, can help you understand just how effective mattress covers are so that you'll be satisfied with your purchase.
