I don't like the look or feel of satin sheets but I do love a trim of satin. They just make my bed look so inviting after a long day. They are really soft and fit very well on my double pillow top mattress. I also have a 4 inch memory foam on my bed and there is still room to spare. I ordered two more sets. I would recommend to anyone thinking about getting these sheets.
love these sheets! i ordered the gray, they came as pictured. the ribbon is on the sheet and both pillowcases. i washed them first and noticed the pibbon pucker ever so slightly as if the sheet shrank but truly not noticable at the glance. ont he bed, they fit great.. id say even the fittec sheet was a deep pocket type since i have a very high pillow top and was able to tuck the fitted sheet under the corner, not just over the corner. the sheets are super soft for being only 300 TC. in fact, i was purchasing these sheets to replace a 300TC cotton/cactus/sandpaper bland. but these sheets feel almost flannel-ish... just cozy without being too hot. Im a hot sleeper and didnt want a thick sheet. bottom line, love them, they held up well in the wash, great price, amazing color and im burchasing a second set!
I bought these sheets in ivory and loved them; they're soft and have a pretty detail. However, they tore after I bleached them a few times. I will take responsibility and assume that I left the bleach on too long. The only other downside is that these pillowcases are standard NOT queen sized. They didn't fit on my pillows and I had to use a second one to cover them completely.
Washed these sheets and looked forward to putting them on my bed last night. They feel substantial enough, the color is good, but that is all I can say that is good about them. They wrinkle like crazy right out of the dryer, they feel rough, rough, rough, and they were hot !?! With the exception of flannel I have never had pure cotton sheets that felt hot. Unless I missed it, I think these are described as 100% cotton - so WTH? Paid way too much for these. If I hadn't washed them I would sent them back. Prior reviews don't say anything about any of this. Beware.
First, let me say, I was in search of lightweight sheets. These sheets fit the bill. The grey is not as dark as pictured--it is more of a medium-dark grey. That's ok because they go great with my medium blue bedroom decor. I do like the sateen finish which has lasted for 2 washes so far. The sheets are wrinkled when coming out of the dryer but I don't mind. I do like the ribbon trim. I like these so much I order a second set in the grey. These sheets do keep me cool during the summer.
IF you want sateen sheets, I would recommend these. The quality seems fine after several washings, and the color (gray) is fantastic--dark and silvery, but not TOO dark. The ribbon trim is very attractive. They're a little heavier than I expected--I use them as my only cover while sleeping (summer in the south). I've never had sateen sheets before, and I'm not in love with this weave. They are NOT cool and crisp, and they don't have the fiber softness of other sheets in the 300 thread count area that I have owned. It's hard to pin down--I guess these sheets are "softish." The fabric is a little stretchy when you make the bed, so things can begin to look a little out of line. Overall a good deal for the money, but not the cool, crisp-yet-soft sheets I was hoping for.
