I thought the coverlet looked beautiful in the picture, but looks okay in real life. The workmanship of the product is awful. The seams are crooked; the pillows look cheap. One of the pillows has a random white thread sewn on the edge-- I don't even know why there is white thread when nothing surrounding the seam is white. I boxed it up to return less than one hour after I opened the box. I am very disappointed.Read More
I was surprised by the little white fleck pattern in the fabric. It's a large part of the design but not noticeable on the picture u less you enlarge a lot. Still like it thoughRead More
Ample size. Doesn't wrinkle. Great for a boys bedroom but I could see it in mine. The turquoise color is not as bright as picture but it's still works.Read More
I read all the reviews before purchasing this item, with that said, yes there is white stitching thought the quilt, however its fine, for me the colors are perfect, it gives me other color choices in my bedroom due to how colorful this item is. This comes with 3 great decorative pillows which to me is a good value, usually these are expensive and you need to buy them separate. Only issue I see is the white stitching having pulls, I have not yet washed this quilt, but with the pulls now I am worried it will be worse. The pulls are from me just making the bed and getting slight snags maybe due to nails, or maybe my Boston Terriers nails. Only reason they are visible is because the stitching is white.Read More
From the photo, I had thought there was more quilting; turns out the thread lines were printed on the fabric. I had also expected it to match better with a grey rug than it did. I returned this.Read More
My Boyfriend's 21 year old son wanted something colorful for his room, this set definitely fit the bill. I paired it with a turquoise bed skirt which added to the color. Quality is great! This is the 3rd Madison Park set I've purchased from Overstock and I'm a big fan.Read More
I received my set yesterday & it looks exactly like the picture. The only difference are the colors, but that's just lighting. What looks to be maroon is actually a burnt orange/brown color. Still a great purchase for me! Looks great in my room!!Read More
I love the set. The colors are vivid. I use it on my guest bed and I get lots of complements from visitors. I saw other comments regarding the white in the pattern, but I do not think it detracts from the product.Read More
I was happy with the product and it was what I expected for the price. Washed it twice so far and still looks goodRead More
Although it is not evident in the online photos, this fabric has small beige-colored tick marks/ dashes all over. The print does not look particularly high-quality up close - I was hoping for a more quilted look, not printed. The zig-zag pillow is cute and has real embroidery, but the other two pillows are cheap print (not quilt). I tossed most of the pieces, keeing only the coverlet to fold at the foot of the bed, and the only pillow with actual embroidery.Read More

Quilts Buying Guide
Whether a quilt is spread over your bed, folded at the end of your bed, hanging over a quilt rack or just stacked in your armoire with other quilts and blankets, it is a piece of bedding to be used and treasured. Quilts offer luxurious comfort for sleeping, add visual warmth to a room, have a timeless appeal and charm and sometimes lend a vintage, historical feeling to your home and bedding. This quilt buying guide has been created to help you make informed choices as you shop for that special quilt for your home.
Popular Types of Quilts
Out of all the bedding made, quilts may be the most diverse. Quilts are produced in all kinds of colors, patterns, sizes, styles and types. If you're looking for a quilt but don't know where to start, take a look at the popular types of quilts below to learn more about this beautiful kind of bedding. Amish quilts: These beautiful quilts reflect the Amish way of living and feature solid colors, deep hues, geometric patterns and very little embellishment. Amish quilts contain the highest quality of construction and stitching, and, sometimes, the wonderful stitch patterns (scrolls, feathers) contrast with the simple backgrounds of their quilts. Applique quilts: These quilts use a French needlework technique where fabric pieces are sewn onto another piece of material to create a design. Applique is used extensively in the quilting process and is not to be confused with patchwork. Patchwork pieces are joined together; applique is sewn on top of the whole piece. Baltimore album quilts: Baltimore album quilts came from Maryland in the early 1800s. Each block in the design of these quilts is appliqued differently, often in ornate floral patterns. Bangladeshi quilts: These quilts are made with layers of Saree cloth. Saree cloth is silk cloth used by women of India to wrap and fold around the body as a garment. The cloth is usually 40 to 60 inches wide by 6 yards long. These quilts are used as bedding or as decorative pieces. Bargello quilts: Bargello quilts are created with offset squares in an up-and-down geometric "V" pattern. The small squares of different fabrics and the colorful designs make these quilts true works of art. Hawaiian quilts: Hawaiian quilts are not pieced, and they usually showcase a large, symmetrical applique in the center of the quilt. Most often the background is white or another solid color. Patchwork quilts: Patchwork quilts are constructed of many small pieces of fabric which are put together in an improvised or irregular pattern. This is a well-known quilt style, and examples of historical patchwork quilts are found in many museums. Ralli quilts: Ralli quilts, sometimes known as rilli quilts, are traditional quilts made in India or Pakistan. There is an abundance of embroidery as well as applique on the patchwork patterns. Star quilts: Star quilts are created with a large star shape, or several star shapes, dominating the pattern. Wedding ring quilts: Wedding ring quilts are crafted in a design of interlocking rings. This pattern goes far back in history: in the fourth century it was used to decorate drinking cups in Rome. Wedding ring quilts are highly popular and make wonderful wedding gifts. If you're looking for a gift to please an engaged couple, you can't go wrong with a wedding quilt. Bedding always makes a significant gift for the bride and groom, and a quilt with coordinating Egyptian cotton sheets can be even better. View All Quilts Back to Guides Directory View All Quilts
