Madison Park Sausalito 6-piece King-size Duvet Cover Set

Overall, I like this duvet cover set. It's a little smaller than any others I've had before, so my down alt. comforter will be a little squished over the winter, but that's the only time I have it in anyway. The quality was neither impressive, or unimpressive. Mine came with treads coming off of it (most just fell right off- this seems to be fairly standard. I'm hoping the material on top will soften a bit with use, but the underside is really soft, and that's what really matters. Yes, as others have said, the background color is a bit darker than what is shown in the pictures, but it's not so much that you can't see the detailing- not even close in fact. Personally, having two cats that sleep on the bed, I'm happier that it's not as light as it shows to be. This is a true tan/taupe/beige colors. I know it looks grey, but it's not- period. My biggest complaint is that mine came with what looks to be ink stains on the underside. They're all very small (3 in total), and since they were on the underside, I decided not to waste the time sending it back and hoping the next one was better, and not worse. I LOVE the button closures- I can't stand duvets with zippers, so this was a big selling point for me. The pillows are great, although they do manage to make them look an awful lot larger in the stock photo (but that's my fault for not measuring). I have a king bed with a massive headboard, so they looks a little petite in comparison. I'm using my old euro pillows/shams, although they don't quite match with this set. I'm keeping my eye out for something that works a little better. I really do wish when Overstock had bedding collections, that they would link you to the accessories (in this case the euro shams). Overall, I'm really pleased with this purchase. I won't give it five stars, but for the price I got it for I wasn't expecting something perfect. The price has gone up significantly since my purchase- I wouldn't pay the current price for this set, but would probably have met halfway between what I paid and what it's going for now.

• How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Fairly close, the background color is a bit darker than shown, but you can still see the nice detailing just fine.
• Please tell us about the quality of the product. I'm somewhat afraid to wash this- strings were already falling off of it when it arrived, but none unraveled anything.

Looks like a matte finish in picture. Actually very shiny. Not what we expected, but overstock took back and refunded with no problems. Eliminates all risk of buying based on a picture. I still reccomend Overstock as a seller.

This is really pretty. Has a silvery sheen and the pillows really give a very finished look to the bedroom. Looks much more expensive than is was. Only problem is that duvet really shifts around inside the cover, keep having to rearrange it. Makes the bedroom look great though.

While the colors of the duvet cover are as pictured, the quality is far below what I was expecting for the price. Going into the spring, I was looking to use the cover alone, without a comforter inside, as I have done in the past. This cover is too lightweight to do that. Bottom line, it's pretty, but not very functional for me.
