Lovely
from Fresno, CA,  Mar 19, 2012

I ordered the purple set and it was hard to tell from the photo what it was going to look like, since you only get to see a tiny thumbnail image. However, I was pleasantly surprised when the bedding arrived (two days after I ordered it!) ... The purple is a very deep, beautiful purple with more blue tones instead of red. One side is a matte satin-type material and the other is an incredibly soft velvet. Very luxurious, especially for the price! The throw pillows are a little small, but they'll look great when paired with other pillows.

Poor workmanship
 from Connecticut,  Nov 29, 2012

I am always extremely satisfied with the quality of merchandise carried by Overstock but this duvet set is the exception. I know the price point is very good but I did not expect Walmart level merchandise. I would recommend Overstock carefully review the merchandise form this manufacturer. The pillow seams were overstitched on the outside leaving a bulky closure to the pillows and cover. While the fabric was very nice, the construction left much to be desired!

it IS a duvet cover!
from boulder, CO,  Nov 25, 2012

I'm so glad I didn't heed the advice in the other reviews that say this product is a blanket, not a duvet cover. It absolutely, positively, IS a duvet cover! The zipper is so well hidden in the seam, though, that if you don't look carefully, you won't find it. Anyway, my standard queen sized down comforter fits inside this lovely duvet perfectly. The purple is a rich, beautiful plum, and the soft texture of the microvelvet is divine. Plus the accent pillows add a nice, understated design touch. I'd definitely recommend it. Of note, the microvelvet is only on the top side, and the underside is a satin-type fabric.

Not as pictured
from Tucson, AZ,  Oct 30, 2012

From the picture I was expecting a microfiber type of material and this was definitely not. It was cheap looking velvet, like something you'd see in a bad motel somewhere. Was returned immediately.

Duvet Cover Set
from Milford, CA,  Oct 5, 2012

First off, this is not a duvet. It is not a medium duvet either, as I ordered. It's a blanket. There is no opening anywhere and it would not fit a medium blanket anyway. I kept it as it's too much trouble to return items to Overstock. I put it on the foot of my bed, folded in half. It would have been lovely had it worked as advertised.

Duvet?
from Lino Lakes,  Apr 24, 2012

Isn't a duvet some type of covering to hold a comforter or quilt? I thought so, but this duvet doesn't have an opening to put comforter in. So that makes it a big coverlet or a thin bedspread. I would have returned but threw away packaging before I realized the duvet didn't have an opening. If it did I would be very happy with purchase. (though I recommend buying a skirt that is to your liking)
