Did a refresh in my boudoir and since I love cottage or beachy style this color goes amazing with my paintings of the beach. It is very well made, used it with a 3 season down comforter but alas, there is only ONE season in FL....hot! Gonna swap it out with a light faux down brand and take it right through the summer.
I've one of these duvet covers for about 1 1/2 years. The fabric is thin but probably average for the price. They wash up well. Mine needed to be replaced as the fabric became worn thin in places and some stitching has came open. I just ordered a second one and received the wrong color. Customer service was very accommodating.
Had I written this review a week ago, I would have told you how wonderful this duvet set is. The fit, feel and color were great when I put them on. But then I washed the set for the first time. On cold, gentle, nothing harsh. And the crimson color bleed all over the white portions of the print, while the red faded as if it had been washed many times. So now instead of a crisp white pattern on a rich dark red background I have a faded red with pink pattern. Very disappointing!
I got the crimson color and it's nice and bold, a good red, not orangey or burgundy, but I wish it had more cotton in the duvet cover as it is a little on the limp side lacking that crisp look for a nice finish on the bed. Fair deal for the price, but I don't think I'd order them again.
I am not giving it 5 stars because the fabric is a little thin. I purchased the set in grey, and if one is going to use a colored comforter, it will show thru on the white side. In Europe they use the duvet as a top sheet, here in USA not so much. The fabric is not suitable to use as a top sheet. Otherwise I am very happy with my purchase.
Beautiful color, got the dark red. Material not the greatest but for $40, you kinda get what you pay for. Don't get me wrong, it is soft and comfortable but can tell it won't last more than a few years which again...fine for the price.
