I love this duvet cover and pillow shams. I bought the teal which is very pretty. The main reason I bought these was that they are poly-cotton which is very hard to find in a nice pattern or at all. I don't own an iron but I hate wrinkly bedding. These go straight from drier to bed and look like they have been ironed and feel like cotton. Hard to find in this country.
The material is really nice- we have pets and the fur doesn't catch on the fabric. I like that it's reversible, you can always put the side with more white up in the summer and the darker side up in the winter. I'm 100% satisfied with this.
Washed up reasonably soft, though I washed it twice and the second time used "heavy soil" in order to get the smell and stiffness of the sizing out. After that, it has worked well. Lighter-weight than I had expected, but it's fine. Color and print are pretty, the red is deep, somewhere between apple and brick.
I bought the teal duvet cover in a king size; the color isn't as bright in person as it is in the picture but it's still great and goes with our grey room perfectly. Even my husband likes it! I wasn't sure how the whole duvet concept worked and it was a little bit of work getting the down comforter flat inside the duvet but once it was flat it fit great and didn't move around. I'm very happy with the purchase!
The duvet cover looks great, decent thread count and great price. I ordered a king size and it unfortunately is not wide enough to cover the bed and hang down on both sides. We tried flipping it and all but no luck, if it hangs down 6in on one side it is right atbthe edge of the other. Not sure if it's just the one we got or if all sizes are off. If I had kept the packaging I would send it back but will move it to a queen bed in another room.
We bought this spread in red and white and if this was the first item I ever bought from Overstock, it would have been my last. The colours run badly, even when washed as directed and with a Cheer colour catcher. The cover pills, the threads pull and after one month of use, I was looking for a replacement. This is very poorly made and I could never recommend it to anyone, not even my worst enemy.
I bought this with high hopes.. I was redoing my bedroom and though the black and white pattern fit nicely into my vision. When I received this product in the mail it was really stiff and scratchy. I had to wash it a few times before I felt like it was soft enough to use, so I would recommend just washing it with lots of fabric softener right off the bat to save some time.
With only a 300 thread count I thought these sheets would not be very soft, but they are actually pretty soft to the touch. The button closure keeps the flap closed and the general construction is good. I've received several favorable comments and the 'lattice look' is quite trendy right now updating my decor. I ordered the gray and the color is spot on. Love them.
I've had this duvet for over a year. Out of the package it was perfect! I ordered the black king size for my queen bed... I like the extra over hang. This duvet is soft and not too thin. I use it as a top sheet over a cotton blanket and it's great for that. However, after several washings the black has faded to an obviously faded out black. I prefer the white side so it's been okay. But now even that side is starting to look old and worn out. What a shame. I really did enjoy it. I have a friend that bought one at the same time and his looks better because he washes it considerably less often than I do. Guess that's the perk of not having a dirty husband and bed wallering cats:)
My wife and I ordered this Duvet set in grey. What the pictures don't clearly show is that it's all 2 sided. One side has the primary color as the featured color, the other uses white as the main color with the the other being used on the design lines. This set washes well and looks great on our bed.
Let me start by saying that this duvet is very cute in design, but made with inferior product. After the first wash it is starting to come apart and it is VERY thin. I wasn't expecting much for a 300 threat count, but this is dissappointing. I would not reccommend this product.
The construction of the duvet cover is great - no loose buttons or unravelling seams. However, the dye in the Crimson version bleeds, causing the white parts of the pattern to turn a pinkish colour, not to mention it transfers to other clothing in the wash too. Very disappointing :(
