Very Happy
Anonymous  from Oklahoma City, OK,  Aug 10, 2009

Overall I am very happy with the duvet. It fit my down comforter really well. I also loved the quality and rich chocolate color. Great with pets because all hair or dirt just wiped right off.

800 Thread Count Duvet
from Los Angeles, CA,  Mar 19, 2011

This duvet is truly a high quality, high thread count thing of beauty. It is so well made, the buttons are designed to lay flat, and is very easy to put on. Some duvet covers are like sheets - this one is like a beautiful bedspread. I'm so happy, I smile when I come into my room. Awesome icy blue color is pretty and sophisticated. Love it.

Color deceiving
 from Michigan,  Jan 25, 2011

I ordered the duvet in stone and received what I thought was gold in error. Turns out that is what Overstock is referring to as stone. It is no where near stone colored. Expensive to return and when customer service asked if I would like them to send another one in case it was gold in the packaging as I suspected, when I asked if I would have to pay to return that one they said yes. This is the second time I have had to return bedding for the color being way off. Will not take my chances anymore. Too expensive to return.

Purrfect
 Feb 11, 2011

Luxury, Quality, Fit, Color, this is not a thin lightweight Duvet that will wear out in a year it is thick and supple that will last a lifetime. The feel is sensuous and rich after one washing with no shrinkage or fading, cold wash low dry no iron with just enough light wrinkle to feel like your in a four star Hotel in Europe. Duvet and Shams are the size that was quoted I first measured my comforter to be sure it would fit and the shams were perfect for my qn/st pillows. I don't think you can find a better set at any price. Only thing missing is a tie in the corner's to hold comforter in place, buttons and flaps worked perfectly.

Luxury Manor 800 Thread Count Duvet Cover Set
from London, UK,  Feb 5, 2011

Don't get me wrong. This is a good duvet set. So why the low score? Over the years I have experimented with high quality sheets and duvet covers. from 200 thread count to 1200. Higher is not always better. Why I went for the 800 count, was to try out the higher end, as the 1000 and 1200 are too thick for comfort, some describe them as cardboard like. Over the many years and this my final experiment, I think I have concluded that 450 - 600 is the range for the longevity and feel that I like and that there is value in getting long fibre single ply Egyptian cotton. Don't get me wrong in deepest winter you may want a heavy cover, but I would recommend a higher TOG rated duvet for that. Smooth, silky soft and moulding to your body is more important. Hope this helps. I must have spent thousands getting this knowledge. I now realise that a few expensive Italian (Frette) sheets are worth more than a lot of high thread count thick ones.

Luxury Manor Duvet Set
from san diego, CA,  Feb 3, 2011

on screen, this duvet set looks luxurious. even when you take it out of the package, it seems quite nice. but it is unbelievably heavy (not in a good way), and as other reviews have said, it is a DISASTER after one wash. it shrinks by 10%, the sateen cotton goes from soft and shiny to course and dull. and the colour fades. i am terribly disappointed, though the price is low.

unbelievable quality
from the frigid north,  Jan 25, 2011

never had such beautiful high quality duvet covers. extremely dense, almost to the point of being too heavy. only drawback is pillow cases are not for standard american queen size pillow cases, but are the square kind. nevertheless, i was so excited about the quality that i wanted to get another set, but had not the colors that i needed. if you can tolerate the extra weight, these are great.

Feels Like Canvas
 from Sacramento,  Jan 24, 2011

This duvet cover feels like canvas. I bought two of them (ivory and sea glass) because I thought the $**** price for 800 thread count seemed like a good deal. ***IVORY***: When I took it out of the bag, it felt very thick and silky smooth. I washed and dried the duvet cover and shams on gentle cycles. After taking them out of the dryer, they felt stiff (probably due to the thickness of the cloth) and rather rough -- like canvas. The shams, oddly, feel smoother than the cover. ***SEA GLASS***: Again, out of the bag , it felt very thick and smooth. I added a little fabric softener to the wash this time (I only used softener sheets in the dryer for the Ivory duvet cover) to see if this would make a difference. After it came out of the dryer, the Sea Glass duvet cover felt softer than the Ivory cover, but it still feels stiff and slightly coarse. The shams are also seemingly softer than the cover. ***I don't know much about fabric and I've heard that all thread counts of the same number aren't necessarily the same, but I was hoping when I ordered these that 800 had to at least be nice and soft. My girlfriend purchased lower-numbered thread count duvet covers from Overstock (she said they cost twice as much as these), and they feel much more luxurious. ***Though I'm not going to bother returning these Luxury Manor duvet covers, and I do plan on using them, I am extremely disappointed in my purchase. I feel like a sucker and wished I would have taken the negative reviews on here more seriously. It really boggles my mind that this duvet has received such high reviews (4.4 / 5.0 from 155 reviews as of this writing). Did most of these people switch from sleeping on sand paper? This must definitely be a case of getting what you pay for. Perhaps all the positive reviews are due to the relatively low cost of this product. Or maybe people are trying to convince themselves that they really got a great deal.

from Tampa, Florida,  Aug 3, 2010

I love the color of the cover (I ordered the seafoam) but when I take it out of the dryer it is so wrinkled!! Also it seems oversized as my comforter is King and there is an empty piece hanging from the side!!

Sheets like canvas. . .
from Olympia, WA,  Jun 9, 2010

These sheets have the texture and feel of canvas. I washed them, hoping it would make them softer, but it didn't work.

sea glass
from Glenview, IL,  Apr 26, 2010

The set is really soft and comfortable. We liked it a lot. The only thing is the sea glass color is much darker than it is in the picture on the website (if it matters to you).

Fantastic Quality
from Bellingham, WA,  Aug 4, 2009

I rarely rate things online, but this Duvet was precisely what we were looking for to go on our new king size bed. The chocolate color is rich and warm, while the high thread count makes the fabric extremely durable. Our cats have taken to wrestling us awake at 5 am each morning, and while our other duvets have been damaged at times with claw marks, this is near impermeable and deliciously luxurious. We've washed it twice and truly my only complaint is that the fabric takes a bit to dry and has to be shifted around in the dryer a few times.

Love it!
from Fort Collins, CO,  Jun 24, 2009

I bought this duvet initially because I needed something that wouldn't show dirt too easily or tear since my dog is always hopping up on the bed. It's amazing! The material is really soft and comfortable but also a strong and heavy material which won't tear when my dog is walking around or pawing at the bed. It is also really easy to get the dog hair off this duvet- it doesn't stick! I really like the color, which has a hint of gold shine to it. My family and friends have said it looks elegant. The material does wrinkle a little bit, but nothing that I really even notice unless I am paying attention to it.

Amazin value, great quality!
 from Texas,  Apr 17, 2009

This cover is awsome....thick and very well made. I wanted a heavy cover but they usually cost upwards from $150, so I was very excited when I recieved this cover with this quality for less than half the price you would normally pay, and it comes with two shams! I payed more for a damask cover that was very thin and this one has a flap that covers the button closure for a very clean look.
